This was several months after he tore his pec. This physique EASILY would've won the 2015 Mr Olympia
-
In all fairness, it's been over 3 days since a Levrone thread has been made...
-
I think it's safe to say Kevin Levrone was a man with muscles back then.
-
One of the greats. Eccentric follow.
-
One would be pressed to find a better example of how a bodybuilder should look than when he won Nationals.

I'm Sorry. I let you guys go back to posting about Muslims in Europe, Ferrigno's $20/$40 photos, and Haters melting down Phil Heath.

Who's Phil Heath?
-
No gut, no shredded glutes, no glittery thong.
He would be lucky if he got 11th place today.
-
levrone great body builder with out a doubt but i always thought he could of came in a little more crisper. Muscles never seamed to be have dence maturity.

The entire lineup was terrific. To be honest, I don't understand how Dorian won that contest. Seems to me that he was way less impressive than Levrone, Flex, and even Dillett here. (In fact, he even disappeared behind Dillett at one point...)
Of course, any one of them would clean house these days. The competitors today are all bloated messes.

I hope you're fucking kidding. I'm not a Dorian fan but in 1993 he displayed one of the most complete physique ever. Funny thing, Dillett actually said that he was shocked by the B&W pictures taken prior to the olympia and knew Dorian would easily win. I think almost no one but him could have beaten the 1993 Flex edition.

I've said before that he has what I consider the perfect physique, but these vids are a little misleading. The account that posts vids with that watermark distorts the aspect ratio of the vids so that the guys end up looking wider and freakier than they actually were. Great physiques, for sure, but they didn't look quite like that.
-
Great pec tear recovery. The only time I can remember it being really obvious is the '96 ASC.

He not only won it, but it was the dominant win ever.

we will never see another man like him again

His pec wasn't torn there, obviously.
He tore his pec in 94 or 95. Definately not 93.

"In February 1993, Kevin has completely torn his major and minor pectoralis while bench pressing 600 pounds, and he needed a surgery to reattach them. At that time everyone thought that Kevin’s career was over. That time was very hard for Kevin. He had 2 surgeries, first one lasted 8 hours, while he was healing from first surgery he got an infection and he needed a second surgery. His weight dropped from 260 to 220 pounds. Most of the weight loss came from upper body. After the surgeries his right side was so weak that he couldn’t do a single push up. Kevin had only 8 months to gain all the weight back until the Olympia contest, and he did taking 5’th place at the 1993 Olympia."

Tear is very obvious here:
-
In the intro to the 1994 ASC.... Levrone discusses the pec tear that took place the previous year, in 1993.
-
Ahhhhh good ole '93 bb'ing.....nothin like it.
-
Bodybuilding peaked with Dorian in 93, that overall look has never been surpassed not even by Big Ron who makes a decent argument being the Mr Olympia winner with the most overall muscle ever.
But Dorians structure and overall condition on that day was unbelievable.
-
1993 Yates was the most dominant performance ever.

Sure was.
Damn.
-
In that first vid I think the video was prolly originally square and the video guy made it into widescreen. Le done is awesome but is distorted the bigger than he originally was.
