Our lasses nephew just got one, getting on/off is a bit tricky as it reacts as soon as you place a foot on it.. If I were a teenager it would be top of my list to Santa..

Its a play on words. There is nothing about the device which makes it "hover." I believe they are calling it a "hoverboard" because the person is "hovering" off of the ground, although they really are not.
