And he's right. The best bodybuilders at my gym have already gone vegan and are going for lean hard muscle rather than the bloated boof-animal protein look.

Did you even bother to read that he said one day meat-free?
It's not as if he recommended going full homosexual, LOL!

Going vegan is right up there with needing "likes" on FB

Bullshit and shut the fuck up.

lol i give it ten, fifteen years before you can't even find whey powder in stores anymore
how people still believe you need so much protein in the year 2015 is beyond me
and anyone who uses the word 'animal protein' should probably not be allowed to reproduce

I've read several times that protein in plant cells is glycosilated with cellulose. Thus, making plant protein hard to assimilate since we humans lack the enzyme to digest cellulose.

If 1 day a week meat free helps the environment, 7 days a week meat free will make a uuge difference in your own personal contribution to global warming. Arnold is a smart man, he is just jumping on the "common sense train" a bit late in life. Too bad he wasn't saying this stuff 30 years ago.
-
Brutal back-paddling after he made the list of the worst of the Fitness industry several weeks ago ::)
Arnold probably hopes to propitiate the great Vegain Gains with that chicken move, but it won't work.
-
lol i give it ten, fifteen years before you can't even find whey powder in stores anymore
By that time you will have synthetic protein powders with optimal amino ratios
-
What's with all the vegan articles all of a sudden?
Seems like the new trend here.

A lot of soy based protein foods taste quite good. The problem is not, e.g., that many poor people can't afford the designer vegan foods made of soy and the ones like in your link. We need more vegan foods made of insects for example.
-
It's actually much cheaper to be a vegan once you get the hang of it. Lots of fruit, veggies, nuts, grains, oatmeal.
The vegans I've seen have gone to having real lean hard muscle and way more energy. Lower fat. Seems to work very well with Winstrol in terms of optimum muscle building. Def no need for clen as a vegan.

Most I've seen look anemic, are weak and skinny fat.

It seems Arnold's argument comes from a climate change perspective rather than a health one.
Assuming 20% of the West's population stop eating meat in the next five years... what are the chances the economic impact will cause a worldwide recession?

It's like religion. People are too scared not to believe it/do it.
Training is like it too. It's like you go from no training to training 5 days a week with 20 sets per bodypart. Without trying something in the middle or less.
-
No...Arnold..no...

Maybe these are ones that don't exercise. Give it a try. You will be amazed how it revs up your body.

Soy contains estrogen, correct?

Obviously it's better from a climate and ethical perspective. But the great thing is it's also better from a health and physical perspective.

Undeniably so. However, I am not sure it is good from an economic perspective.

Crom laughs at your climate change

Vegan = the new "hip" trend.
Soon there`ll be some other bullshit fad to take its place.
-
Soy contains estrogen, correct?
Sort of. It contains a compound similar to estrogen. The good thing is guess what. Your body has a natural estrogen to testosterone hormone level ratio. So when you boost up then soy guess what happens. The body naturally adjusts the ratio and boosts the testosterone. And it's all natural. Which to some extent explains the lean hard muscle that vegans get, especially when on Winstrol.
Levrone went vegan a while back and swears by it now. Franco also is vegan. I'm just waiting for Kai to convert. (Yes I know - queue the grape fruit jokes ...)

Nothing's more estrogenic than soy. Also, you have to get that most of the soy now was genetically modified by ADM. That's one of the reasons we have so many fat kids.

soy also contains stuff that inhibits production of thyroid hormones by blocking some enzymes
there's your answer lol
-

In a way, I can see what he is saying.
The world is currently WAY overpopulated. There is an estimated 7.3 billion people. The world population will eventually reach 10 billion people. Research has shown that earth can support roughly 2 billion people. We are pushing the envelope. There is only so much youre going to reap from nature. There are just way too many people. Yet, people keep popping out baby after baby after baby. :-\ :-\

LOFL Levrone has never been consistent with anything in his life except excessive alcohol intake.
The guy has started more businesses and hobbies that he never finishes/fails at than Goodrum

LOL love Arnold

funny how NONE of the fitness youtubers that have gone vegan have lost any gains...
also FF, i always thought fake meats were expensive because they are specialty items sold on a small scale. somehow i doubt production of some soy and pea lab mixture is ultimately more difficult than growing and slaughtering animals.
either way, it makes fuck all difference because fake meats aren't necessary for any sane fitness endeavor anyway. MAYBE you need something of that macro composition to get 'stage ready', but i highly doubt it... and that's the only even remotely plausible use i can think of.
when it comes to protein, people suddenly lose all sense.
-

That's just an assumption. You don't know for sure if they really made the switch and there's no data about their body composition before & after.
-

true but with the popularity of 'what i ate today' vlogs, you can hardly say there's 'no data' :D
(not serious, of course, lolz)

Well, to throw back some seriousness in the mix, it would be a nice experiment to compare 2 large groups of people who've never lifted before. One group eats normal and the other one.. that's right. Would there be a difference in body composition changes (i.e. statistically relevant ones) between both groups after -say- 6 months of weight training?
-
No different than "supporting" Caitlyn Jenner. Every now and then you have to throw a bone to the
liberal phaggots special interest groups.

With all due respect, are you not the guy who tries a new fad diet like every week?

weird how no one believes testosterone boosters work, but everyone believes soy boosts estrogen ???
