Title: BADELL at his best...
Post by: Nether Animal on December 10, 2015, 01:12:13 PM
Guess this is from 2007. I Always thought he had a weaker RLS but that looks insane there. No real distension, etc.

In before 100% natural of peace.

Noticed the schmoe, not the stain.

He looked great. No weaknesses, dense and ripped. That physique should would destroy anybody in in the top 10 Olympia including Heath.

It seems that most bodyparts can shrink down and still look somewhat normal except for the biceps.   A lot of ex pros biceps look like blown out bags or shit.  What is the cause of this?

Relatively small muscle that received years & years of site injections. Tiny damage upon tiny damage upon tiny damage.... each time... accumulates into major damage.

Or was that about Paco Bautista?

You're right, Parker.

It was Paco.

Cormier once said Paco looked like someone had sewn him up in a muscle suit.

But Shawn said Badell was "put together kind of strange."

I still have that FLEX issue.

It was the year Shawn skipped the Mr. O and the magazine had him predict the contest and rate/rank all the competitors.

He said Ronnie could've turned up with a torn bicep and/or a distended gut and he would still win. Basically saying the fix was in.

Ray's last 'O was 2001, and he did some sporadic guest posing after that I believe?

Wasn't that the year he blew his top during the press conference?

Makes since that he would boycott 2002, but did he ever consider coming back in '03 or later?

It was his predictions for the 2002 Mr. Olympia.

I know that article.

Shawn was supposed to host the pay-per-view that year, but the powers that be were worried he was going to point out synthol injections and users.

He "won" that stupid challenge round in 05 i think. The year they dropped it (2nd year)... cos 3rd place guy apparently was better than 1st place guy when you added winning poses. God that was stupid. Throw out all prejudging results where ronnie had perfect scores (in 04) and leave it to non judge ex pros at nightshow to call the o. I remember triple h mcing it.

Though i did like that buzzer noise  before poses. That should stay. Stop them all hitting pose later than the next guy.

I read HHH hosted the bench press contest and when the guy fucked up his lift and injured himself, he asked "wanna try again?" But yeah, guys like HHH BELONG as host as they love training are fans and celebrities outside this weird ass world of banana hammocks.

I would say he was one of the few big names who would associate themselves with such a dirty (in every way) sport but got pissed off at the sheer amateur nature of the hosting. Pretty sure he said on stage one time how shitty it was (in a veil of sarcasm). Long pauses, too many competitors mistakes with what athlete is coming out or lighting. For someone used to big shows with pyrotechnics 250 days a year it was probably like hosting a barn dance in Bumfuck Ohio.

Mike Adamlee hosted the 05' Mr O and my god, the production was a clusterfuck. He announced Branch Warren as 'Branch Keller', that dickhead Dan Solomon talked the entire way through competitors routines and the dude attempting the bench press record was crushed under the weight, live. Not to mention how shit the challenge round telecast was and all of the scores were delayed whilst spectators sat around booing.
The 05' Arnold wasn't much better, who could forget the camera man zooming in on Darrem Charles head whilst he did the moon walk (wtf) and Jack Lalane taking over the microphone and putting everyone to sleep during his lifetime achievement acceptance speech.
Don't even get me started on the more recent telecasts. Someone needs to break Larry Pepe's jaw tho so he can't talk throughout routines...

Ps whatever happened to Joe Amato?

Epic idea and I get so mad when I see those morons hit the poses so late and before hitting the actual pose, they fuck around doing showing their strong points.

Man, I'd LOVE to be the person to deduct them and tell them why.
