Personally I think the guy is a plant by either the republicans, the democrats, or both just to make other people look good, raise cash for opponents on either side and to distract the populace.

I DID NOT vote for Trudeau in my country but in the end I respect the democratic process and exercised it by voting period

Of course there's going to be a lot of debate and controversy when the front runner for one of the two parties says a lot of crazy shit. That's only natural. People aren't robots who just vote and disregard everything else.

Too early to tell, like anything else he deserves his chance(he rightfully won), but if I have any criticisms it would be to start cutting back on the photoshoots, distance himself gradually from Wynne because everything she touches turns to shit and scandal, and don't jump right into anything too much blindly(example the refugee thing).
Just to add no matter whom I have voted for or not voted for it does not mean I agree/disagree with everything in their platform.
And it is a good thing he is taking those photos now because all PM's age like a guy each term, comes with the job\

Well said. Minus the typo. I agree completely on Wynne. While I don't think it's all her the Ontario Liberals are still very fucked. The beer in grocery stores nonsense is a good example. They can't do anything in a simple and straight forward fashion.

repubs would melt most at a Trump presidency. Trump isn't even pretending he'll be a conservative. Repubs will be shocked at how much "moderate" or "progressive" policy Trump has subscribed to, his entire life. That doesn't go away because he shits on obama or hates illegals.

Many on the political board have advanced degrees. 4 or 5 of us have masters that I can think of, many other recent bachelors grads. People that are dumb are only casually interested in politics, or just blind partisan. Intelligent people love to debate the pros and cons of every party and issue. Trump supporters are generally not all that positive... loving shitting on illegals, obama, etc.

Rubio would be the most like Reagan in this race, IMO. Conservative but practical and will swing middle easily.
I see Cruz (my personal preference for over a year now) as more like Bush 2000... stronger conservative, with a little ron paul in there (caused an actual govt shutdown over the budget - he will stop the spending).
Trump is just so unpredictable. our allies will abandon us and lots of little things will change for teh worse. A president needs at least some level of serious gravitas. Trump is doing impressions of handicapped reporters, handing out Sen Graham's cell phone, calling other Repub candidates stupid, and this week, receiving criticism from leaders of UK, SA, Scotland, France... It's a potential train wreck. He's just not mature.
