Title: Butterbean
Post by: The Ugly on December 13, 2015, 08:39:28 PM
I'm so sorry I wasn't aware of you until yesterday. This woman is a fucking angel - thank you SO much for giving a shit. Especially being the semi-asshole prick I can be at times. Your concern, help, and kind words will not be forgotten. From the bottom of my rotten heart, thanks a million.

Hopefully I've reached out to the others who PMed as well: Coach, chaos, Shizzo, Moontrane, Parker, Princess L, Primemuscle, gym**rat, Wes, and those that were supportive here on the board as well.

You folks are real-life good people, appreciate your gracious words and support more than you'll ever know.

We can all be pricks on here and even say some pretty shitty things to people we don't even know. I have been very guilty of this myself. But when it comes to someone needing support or just a kind word the majority on here will show that they do have a heart and honestly care no matter if we are only know one another by our screen names. I am always here if you need anything.

I want to publicly apologize for calling her out. She may not post, but she is obviously performing her duties well.

I can't ignore her overwhelming support.  :-*

She has also responded, and helped me out in a timely manner, along the years.

Sorry, Butterbean  :'(

I guess it boils down to what type of humor you prefer. Married with Children (like Modern Family) has Getbig humor written all over it.

Don't get me wrong, Seinfeld was a very good show. I prefer Will and Grace.

I could swear I saw your drooling mouth slammed against a glory hole in a Walmart restroom in Florida. Were you on your break? Or, are you the dude that cleans the toilet rooms? My big fat one would not have fit through that hole. Sorry to have stood you up. Hope you found what you were looking for.  ;D

You're a good guy, but some things just don't fly.

Keep up with that protein diet, in might help you lose weight.

Where has she been? I've seen the name, but never had a single interaction, far as I know. Does she post on G&O ever? Surprised I'm so ignorant regarding this.

I'd love to send her a bottle of wine if I knew where to send it. Someone inside wanna PM assistance here, I would certainly do it third party.

Why is it that some folks take me so seriously? Maybe they don't. Maybe suggesting "meltdown" is just a defense mechanism. Can you enlighten me? You used it in your reply to comments I made which were intended not to be taken seriously at all. When it comes right down to it, it seems like most folks have no problem dishing it out while they have huge issues with taking it.

For the record, these glory hole comments would have no basis if it were not for me being honest. Why should they upset me? I started them.

I was having fun with you. It was a joke! I've never been to Florida and moreover, I hate public restrooms and Walmart (No offense intended).

BTW, if the joke is on me, have at it. I've got broad shoulders. I can take it.

Now you can tell me to ease up.

If you dont understand the meaning of a meltdown, then it is a meltdown by default.

If you dont understand the meaning of a meltdown, then it is a meltdown by default.

Meltdown:

1. Describes what happens when a person freaks out, cracks, loses control of themselves. Life - reality at large- becomes overwhelming. They just can't deal with it all. The person may act out, withdraw, become emotional, run, etc..

Is this not what a meltdown is?

I had none of those symptoms....okay, so I acted out. Big deal!

Humility. Another quality you have.

Appreciate the kind words, Shizz, but I'm no angel. Don't really know the guy, but he's gone after a few others with equal wrath, so maybe it was warranted. Sure he's been paying attention; probably knows I was owed a little comeuppance. Have to be ok with that.

Will say I've gotten lots of undeserved support I never would've imagined. Quite overwhelmed, really, and thanks again to those who reached out on the board or in PMs. Good people here, meant a lot.

Hell, dude might not even be that bad a guy, who knows. Just saw an opportunity to even up with an asshole who deserved a little something. Just hope I didn't attack anyone without provocation, 'cause I really don't remember, and I truly despise that type of behavior. Especially if I'm the prick dishing it.

Have a good night, friends.

No offense, but I don't see you really getting good comedy. I mean, you did say you absolutely loved Howard's "dry wit," I think it was. Incredibly telling, this.

Funniest film you've seen, Prime? Give us a little reference.

Hmm. There have been many over the years. Perhaps 'Halloween'? Just kidding! I do have a twisted sense of humor. What is funny to one person is not to another and that is how it should be. It's not a film, but I really enjoyed watching 'Arrested Development' when it was on. Clever comedy is a plus.

Actually, I think you missed my point. I liked Seinfeld. It was clever and for a very long time. But like most things, it got old eventually. Right now, I am watching 'Me and Earl and the Dying Girl' it has lots of funny moments. 'Some Like it hot' was funny. I haven't watched it for quite a while, but I think it is a film that held up over the years.

Have you ever read the book 'Candy' by Terry Southern. It busted me up the first time I read it.

Some of the skits on 'The Carol Burnett Show' had me rolling on the floor. Carol as Scarlet O'Hara wearing draperies with the curtain rod across her shoulders was classic.

When Gloria Swanson slowly walks down this magnificent staircase saying "Are you ready for my close up....?" at the end of the movie it is at once poignant and funny.

My grandson and I watched "Bad Grandpa" together. We were both laughing a lot.

Does any of this give you an idea of what I think is funny?

Ok, gotta admit a little surprise here:

Sarcasm with Halloween, noted and clever, good.

Arrested Development and Seinfeld, both exceptional. Excellent choices.

Me, Earl ... great film, but was it funny? I forget.

Some Like it Hot, embarrassed to admit I haven't seen it. But it's a classic, so apologies to Wes, he's gonna skewer me here. Was it funny, Prime?

Carol Burnett, good stuff, all right.

Bad Grandpa, again, funny film. So you've exceeded my expectations, I'm impressed. How do you feel about Monty Python films? Holy Grail, for instance, you see it? Or Mel Brooks? Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, The Producers, you see/enjoy these? Dr. Strangelove, perhaps?

I've underestimated your sense of humor, Prime, apologies. Just take back the Howard stuff and we'll start fresh, ok.

But do you get favoritism?
After a lengthy discussion on the secret Special Friends board, it has been decided that info is none of your business.  :)

Variety is the spice of life, or so my mom used to tell me when I was a kid. Truthfully, there isn't one style of comedy I prefer over another. With the exception of the Monty Python films, I've seen and enjoyed all that you mentioned. I prefer comedy that makes fun of itself as opposed to making fun of others. How about the Pink Panther with Peter Sellers? There are several English sitcoms I've enjoyed. Doc Martin is one. Absolutely Fabulous is another. I like the original Australian film, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, but not so much the U.S. remake with Patrick Swayze To Wong Fo, Thanks for Everything. The same with the film, the Birdcage. La Cage aux Folles 1978 was more interesting and original.

True. Not sure what's worse, that vile crap, or the pathetic whining of some loser who goes on an anonymous Internet forum and dramatically threatens to harm himself to gain some sympathy from a bunch of people who don't know him. Makes you wonder what the people who do know him think of him.
Fuck yourself asshole, you couldn`t compare to the sweat on Ugly balls.....on second thought, yes you can.

The man is a genius, he can do no wrong. Panther, Strangelove (three roles), Being There, just incredible.
