What's the most weight you have seen pulled or pulled your self laetly? Just curious, I had a friend of mine pull 765 for 2 yesterday I was very impressed he's at body weight around 240
-
Nothing monstrously lately in person... Ridiculous lifts on YouTube.
-
at my 1st gym i watched a guy do 7 plates, never seen that bested in person yet.
a scrawny kid at my current gym pulls 6 plates and doesn't look like he's lifted a weight in his life, all his other lifts are very or below average tho..
-
545@230 was my best last year.

I've rarely seen anyone actually deadlift, my old gym had those stupid hex plates that make deadlifts a pain,
there was this wanker once doing 4 plates a side for singles about 15 minutes appart and dropping it as loud as possible and looking around to see who's watching the fucking prat.
In my works gym a few people deadlift, the most I've seen is 3 plates aside, once again for singles at least ten minutes appart. There is an older fella does light deadlifts with paper towels on his hands to stop the knurling hurting them haha

I'll b making my second attempt at 6 plates failed the first try I videoed the attempt and seen my head went down if I can fucking keep my eyes up im going to snatch it the fuck up I think did 2 much warming up and we'll and new years fucked me a little with the drunking. I got it off the floor and felt my hips were high so I let it go instead of housing it up and ruining my back in the vid ingot the plates up about 3 inches from the floor so I just bailed.I've seen only about 4 dudes deadlift 6 plates or over ever in real life. But I will say 4 plates is very common in alot of gyms in my area

5 something and no way could I do it now. Was in my early 20's.
-
My best was 5 plates for reps, could do 6 off the rack just below my knees.... As I've moaned about before, I've torn my hamstrings twice deadlifting and wont be going for a 3rd
-
i did 615 for five with pauses between reps. i was 250 pounds. i saw eddis coan pull 859 pounds at 197 bwt . up close..

Nah just popped out of the blue, with only 3plates a side each time... 1 st time one of the lads heard it pop from the other side of the gym...
I did feel my hamstrings work hard, probly just my attachments and body type wasn't suited to the abuse
-
Damn!!! that's not what I want to hear. I am training deficits for a week or 2 then was gonna attempt 6 plates again I got it off the floor about 3 inches last week and i let it go my head dropped and I went forward. So i bailed rather than just trying to hoist it up cross fit style.
-
in my 40īs i once did a set of 21 reps with 240 kg (528 lbs.), after i could not go further with my Training. i was knocked out from bottom to toes....

That's a very impressive set. How much did u weigh at the time? That's badass I've seen some decent pulls but reps with health y weight impress me because that's more how i like to train. Recently saw a 205lb guy pull a 625 (with straps on) and another guy weighing 215ish with no straps right after I have only pulled 545 for 5 my best session at 220lbs

I've actually started doing them again, but not from the floor, always just below the knee and with a trap bar when its available...
My back/traps/shoulder girdle definitely looks better for having them back in... Tensing the lats the whole time, almost feels like an isolation exercise..
-
360kilo by a 19 year old... Dude was crazy stromg in the deadlift

Crazy juice.
-
450 pounds for 8 reps, normally I finish with 4 plates 12-15 reps at around 215-218.
6 plates is the most I have seen in person.
-
One thing for you it seems popular now for guys to state what they deadlift when the bar is raised in a power rack. If it's not off the floor don't brag about your deadlift.

i have trouble keeping my lats engaged during deadlifts
Attaching a band in front of me to the barbell had helped-

I've always had a good connection with lats... Chest on the other hand takes extreme concentration.

i think the old school chest and back SS works. get the antagonistic muscles pumping together.
