"The Show Must Go On" version is absolutely incredible, especially considering he was practically on his deathbed when he recorded it.

I guess sucking cocks did something right for his vocal cords.

Would that be that "auto tune" crap?  I am an admirer of real vocalists with the caveat that certain styles of singing do not appeal to tme no matter the voice.   Ella Fitzgerald is my favorite female vocalist but I can't stand it when she does that  "scat" singing.   Same with the approach of someone like Whitney Houston and the style known as "runs".  Both styles are aptly named as they sound like crap to me.

Is that acapella or just the isolated vocal track? If the latter, he was likely hearing the rest of the instrumentals over his gigantic 70's era headphones.

Saw Queen 1974 at the Erlanger theater in Philly. Sheer Heart attack tour with Kansas. To this day it is the best concert I have ever been. The place had 2500 seats max.

I saw Skid Row in concert in 1991 in their heyday, and at that time, Sabastian Bach had a vocal range that would send chills down you spine.

He'd still be alive today if he was diagnosed with AIDS a mere 10 years later.

It's Sebastian, not Sabastian, but speaking of vocal range, NO ONE could touch a PRIME Geoff Tate circa 1981-1987:

Truth. Geoff was a freak of nature in Queensryche's glory days. Too bad he now sounds like a parody of himself and has fully morphed into an outrageously offensive toolbox.

Yup, sounded better than Paul Rogers did back around 2005. Paul's voice just doesn't fit Queens music.

Bach sounds like a phenomenal hybrid of Don Dokken & Bruce Dickinson. Awesome vocal control.
