I don't think those are accurate.
I know that Time Warner has a 300Mb DL option.
Xfinity I don't know.
I also have FIOS currently, and the 300Mb doesn't cost me 200 bucks. Well, it does, but it's with TV as well.
Still, Gigabit speeds for 70 bucks would be nice.

1 gig per second, that's beautiful.
last night, while playing on phone, I was uploading 15 videos at once on my computer, and my ps4 Netflix got a little scratchy... I LOL'd at how nice we really have it today. I remember dial up with webtv.net... and how happy I was to move to AOL dial up.

Possibly, but they already know 95%. I don't think the next 5% will make a huge difference.
Certainly not for the cost of the infrastructure they are putting in place for it.

Completely useless due to the 44 second rule.

Verizon must be the wireline telephone company in your area. A long time ago it was probably GTE...
FIOS would be as fast as Google Fiber if it didn't have the Cable TV in there as well...Google Fiber is largely FIOS without the TV.

No idea. I haven't had a landline phone since I moved out to the West Coast 9 years ago.
It's possible.

Cant wait. So fucking sick of watching the Kai Green white towel gif freeze on me. Lets speed this shit up god damn it...no homo of course. What sucks is even when you buy the fast shit, your provider will throttling the connection and route through slow servers if you don't go thru them...

The whole Google Fiber need is related to the fact that they have things in the R&D stages that won't even work with current provider speeds. Horse is well out of the barn on the spying stuff. That was being done as soon as the ability to store huge amounts of data happened. I'm sure the Patriot Act didn't happen around the same time, haha.
