I believe this competitor confirms True Adonis' hypothesis: A calorie is just a calorie.
She states, "It doesn't matter if you fill your macros with 10 oreos or 5 gallons of brocolli. As long as you are eating based on your body composition and goals, you can maintain your body and build muscle while gaining minimal fat. Your body doesn't differentiate a slice of pizza from a salad with meat, cheese, dressing, and croutons (which can have the same macros).

I always tought it was bullshit but for the last 6 weeks I have been eating this way.
3200 calories a day.
As long as I take around 215g of protein a day, i don't give a shit about what the other calories are.
I use the "Lose it" app to track everything.
I don't have any cheat meals since I eat whatever I want in small portions.
Don't know how lean I can get doing this but as of now I drop fat just as quickly as I did with "clean food"
I feel pretty stupid having lost the last 10 preps eating chicken for months lol

i got his heavy duty journal which chronicles his prep for the 1979 mr olympia
he ate low calories mostly carbs and some protein, and did a shit load of cardio .

Look at that HS teacher who dieted on McDonald's - his cholesterol, blood pressure etc went down as his weight did.
There is also the genetic factor. Some people can eat shit and have clear skin, stay lean and feel fine - others eat the same and get fat, get bad skin and bloods go terrible.

forgot to tell u guys this, but had recent blood tests done after 3-4 months of nothing but sugar, some healthy meals, lots junk, cereal, etc. but no red meat, no chicken. the only protein i had was either from a little cheese, plants, or fish. even with the sugar...my lipids were the best ever. 170 total, 54 hdl, 121 ldl.

it all depends on your body composition and the state it is in at the moment. You feed such diet to a huge fat bastard and you'll give him a heart attack, you feed it to somenone with lots of muscle and great insulin sensitivity and he can get away with it.
to each their own, everybody is different. But saying that different food types cause same results in the body is bullshit. there's a reason why your body responds differently to carbs, fat and protein.

arterial inflammation and plaque buildup and any other cardiovascular disease really come from out of whack blood sugar / insulin resistance and high blood pressure mainly. cholesterol only is a minor player here
you can have the worst cholesterol profile in the world, as long as theres no inflammation in your arteries and your blood pressure is fine you wont have any more chances for cardiovascular issues than someone with a perfect cholesterol profile.
HOWEVER its easy to just look at cholesterol levels, because for most people a fucked cholesterol profile goes hand in hand with shit diet and therefore high blood pressure and blood sugar levels/insulin sensitivity.
theres some really eye opening literature out there on that topic. once you understand the actual bodily FUNCTION of HDL and LDL (they are just TRANSPORT proteins), its easier to understand.
id recommend EVERYONE to read into these topics. cholesterol is one of the biggest healthcare myths/lies out there
