OK first off i picked aldo to win and ate crow on that one .
But i am going to give conor his props now, he has big balls, Conor could take the easy approach and fight frankie edgar and rematch aldo.
Both of these would sell well on ppv. But instead he is moving up a full division and fighting the most dangerous man in that division in
Rafael dos Anjos. Even if you hate conor you have to give him his props for taking this fight. Hes not like that whore ronda who ducked
cyborg and fought women who were teachers and janitors. I am very surprised dana white is letting him take this fight.
i am very much looking forward to this. and if he does win, he is the best p4p guy out there no questions asked.

If this matchup is true, Rafael dos Anjos is a tough fight for anyone. If anyone can ‘BREAK MCGREGOR'S SOUL’ it is Rafael.

Dos Anjos has more holes in his game, however he has improved a lot and the relentless pressure he gave Pettis & Cerrone will not be easy for Conor.
Conor on the other hand seems to have the mental edge here, he will get in Dos Anjos head and has real power in his hands.
Possible fight scenario:
*Dos Anjos will pressure with low kicks and go for the takedown and Ground&Pound to a decision.
*Conor will kick him in the liver/stomach like he did vs mendes, circle around with boxing and punish Dos Anjos 'til TKO.

radical i got to agree with you dos is very dangerous, he can take people down and his stand up is very good.
conor is taking a huge risk in this fight. rafael is hungry , he has never had a big payday, and has been very dominant in his past 4 fights.

great fight on paper. will be lopsided live. I think mcgregor, as annoying as he fcking is... wins it fairly quickly, inside of 8 minutes.

I'm not sure if the Dos Anjos vs McGregor fight has been officially signed yet. From what I read the other day, it looks to be set for March 5.... I think that both guys just have to sign the contract.
I like the fact that both guys are not taking 6 months off. They want to stay active.

I guess it doesn't matter which fight he takes, Frankie Edgar is a beast also and maybe even the tougher fight. Maybe this is why Connor has gone with Rafael, more to gain if he wins and a better chance of winning.

It's true

Fight isn't in Brazil and with new drug testing ufc use dos anjos will be back to being a fringe top 10 LW

I just wan to say that I quite clearly stated a week before aldo, that conor would knock him out quick, and with the left.
Just saying...
Dos anjos is very very good on the ground, much better then mendes in terms of finishing. If he can keep conor down he will submit him.
Conor is going to kill him if he cannot get him down. If I was conor I would work more with Khabib as he manhandled Dos anjos (no one is a better grappler) on defense only. He is much much better on his feet, dos anjos does work with a legendary boxing coach, one who has made werdum into a stand up beast, but conor's striking is elite, easily the best in MMA, no one has even pushed him back.
Conor stings him with a stiff left, dos anjos fails the take down or conor gets up, he circles him to the right similar to mendes and finishes him with strikes.

McGregor is great for the sport Jon Jones wouldn't even fight Chael Sonnen on a two week notice. McGregor has heart I hope he crushes RDA.
