Watched it yesterday, great movie. Tarantino is probably the last director on earth who never fails to deliver. 8)
Samuel Jackson is brilliant in that one ;D
-
I heard it was l-o-n-g, and it felt that way.

It takes a lil to pick up pace (around an hour), but then it's lights out game over ;)

Never watch a movie from the prick!
He stands up for black criminals over the police. Fucking disgrace
And I'm getting tired of Samuel jackson... Plays the same part every time. Had one good movie: die hard
-
The movie is tanking in generating revenue. I don't think they even covered the cost of making it. It will be on HBO or Netflix soon.
-
Did it have over 100 "/\/iggas" spoken? Otherwise, I ain't going.

It has.

Well, having the same opening weeend as Star Wars def wasn't a smart move from a commercial standpoint. Should have delayed it a few weeks into january.

He was good in Changing Lanes. Complete departure from his usual acting
-
Parts of it were pretty good but overall I'd give it a thumbs-down (no homo).
Was too long (no homo) and I thought the violence in the end was over the top.
-
3 hours 7 minutes................. ....Pass.

He was pretty good in Jungle Fever too, but will be best/most known for Pulp Fiction.
-
awesome movie.
-
Samuel Jackson just plays himself. John Wayne did the same thing and it worked well for him. Nothing wrong with that type of "acting".
As for Tarantino? Might be a great director but he's a worthless human being.
-

An angry shouting black man with bulging eyes? No he plays the same part in that too
-
. Movie sucks balls. Total shit. It misses just about every aspect of what made his better films good.
Only semi decent thing in it was Walton Goggins.
-

Lol
One of the most over rated actors ever. Annoying.
-
Original was better.
Oh what's wrong, did you think Hollywood came up with an original idea for a change?
-
Lol
One of the most over rated actors ever. Annoying.
Yep, absolutely terrible.
-
The only aspect of this movie appealing is Kurt Russell. Guy's a dude.
Tarantino's a demented douchebag.
I'll pass.
-
8 > Force Awakens by a country mile.
-
there's around 60+ reasons black fellas won't enjoy it much
-
Kurt Russell was great though as The Hangman.
Epic Stache
-
On the fence with this one. Will wait for netflix and chill.
-
I haven't watched any of tarantinos movies properly since pulp fiction, all too long and/or over the top, non realistic. can usually rely on a foot scene though but not seen inglorious bastards, django or this to see if the trend has continued
-
It was visually great, but dragged a bit. Walton Goggins was good in it.
Someone on here made a thread about another Western with Kurt Russell in called "Bone Tomahawk" (no homo) - watched that the other day and it was pretty decent.
-
Kurt with his epic stache and Goggins made this movie.
Dana Gourrier and Belinda Owino were great as well, great performances.

So with the ever so annoying commercials and previews the movie is almost 4hrs then?
Hell no.

+1
Quentin Tarantino can go suck the black dick he loves so much

:D
QT is so hit/miss with me. Loved RD and PF, JB was ok, HATED both KBs, Grindhouse's DP bored me to tears (loved RR's Planet Terror, though), IB was 2/3rds fantastic, and DU was just whatever.
Sam Jackson has played the same f'n role for QT since Jules in PF (with the exception of Stephen in Django) - which was brilliant in '94 - but I'm totally cool never seeing him on the big screen again.
So, yeah, I'm with chaos, Netflix and chill.
-
I really liked the movie.

I agree he does play the same part each time and that part is always the character "Samuel L. Jackson".

Don't most actors just end up playing themselves after a certain amount of time? DeNiro and Pacino have been doing this for years

Huge Jacked Man , Robin Williams and Walton Goggins beg to differ.
-

Absolutely. Completely agree. Will Smith is another that regardless of movie or part he's always playing "Will Smith".
-
SJ was hilarious as the villain in the The Kingsmen or whatever that movie was called.
-
I saw it the other day and fell asleep during it.
-
I just saw it tonight... he is good, really is. Strength is in building the tension, dialogue and so on. But I always feel the endings are never as good as the opening and mid parts.
It was long, but they had a intermission, so you could go out and drink beerprotein shakes
-
I heard it was l-o-n-g, and it felt that way.
Long, boring and weak. quentin tarantino spent the whole time trying to play off the gimmick of 70 mm film, yet films almost the whole movie in a coach and cabin.
I saw it the other day and fell asleep during it.
Yep, so did my friend. Money would be better spent on beer or a video game.
-
Walton Goggins is great. Totally under valued as an actor.
The movie is too long and a bit pretentious and Tarantino seems to just throw in the N word way tot much just so he can hear it.
Movie is at best a 5.5/6.
don't waste your time. See it on HBO or for a buck fifty from Red Box.
-
Wish Tarantino would go back to his roots and stop with these spaghetti western and Asian inspired films. As much as people praise him for pulp fiction , reservoir dogs is the best he's done.
-
All the scenes in Reservoir Dogs were top notch!
His best movie bar none.
-

To an extent, yeah, I think those two especially just got lazy or impatient waiting for decent roles. DeNiro was sort of against typecast in the Focker films, but they're mostly fluff, right. Pacino hasn't done anything noteworthy since Insomnia in 2002, which sucks.
But you still got the Nicholsons (retired now), who did As Good as it Gets and About Schmidt - both very unJack - toward the very end of his career, but he was always prettty selective with scripts. And DD Lewis is incredibly diverse, but still fairly young. Hope he keeps challenging himself with the meatier stuff.
Then there's Gary f'n Oldman, goddammit. Still among the best, but he's now settling into these bullshit Commissioner Gordon paydays when he's got plenty left in the tank. Write the fucker a juicy role for Christ's sake! Did get a glimpse of old Gary in Lawless, but the part wasn't nearly big enough.
-
I heard it sucked.
-
"That door is a whore!"
Great movie! Loved it.
-
Good, then you can go share bananas with your ni##er friend in the stable!

inglourious and django were both really good
-
inglourious and django were both really good
No....both were overrated.
Inglorious was good because of Walz, Django was average.
They only seemed good because of the colossal amount of putrid shit Hollywood produces these days
-

He is running out of old films to rip off.

X2 what conehead said.
...and to all the posters who like Walter Coggins then you should all all go watch the tv series "Justified"
he is fucking awesome as "Boyd"
-
LOL at people still buying the "acting" facade.
More people can act than can not. Of the creative arts, thespian art is the least impressive, by far.
Kids and singers/rappers, etc. starring opposite "genius" actors, and very much holding their own.
Oh, brother. ::)

Walton Goggins, lol.
I think Walter Coggins is his stunt double.
-
When's your next feature film stud?
I'm not in the industry, "stud".
And for the record, moviemaking is an extraordinary venture. Script writing, directing, cinematography, set design, editing, scoring, wardrobe , etc.
But acting? ... a very modest talent, at best.
-

Thanks grammar and spell check police! I'm glad you have all day to follow me and correct every mistake I make :)

Walter Scroggins is a cool guy and a scholar.
-
he does round up a good cast for the most part. I did like the first dusk before dawn, p.f and kill bill
