Title: For my getbig electronics/gear headz: Where can I get motorized hinges?

I am making a wooden bookcase and I want to add a motorized retractable door that is controlled by an ipad app?  Been searching for a few days, haven't really found anything like it, yet. I've found some motorized hinges that might work, but I want a pair that can work with a touchscreen. Anyone have any experience with this type of stuff?

What you want is called a "servomotor"...another name is a "servo-actuator"...the variety of gizmos that do this sort of thing is dizzying.

I would say that for the controls if you want to use an Ipad...Look in "home automation" and look for an automation controller that will interface with your Ipad.
