Title: Road Warriors, power bodybuilding legends
Post by: Submissionfytr on January 17, 2016, 06:23:29 PM
As a kid I admired and worshipped the Road Warriors (Legion of Doom was Johnny Come lately fags) were true getbiggers. I mean look at this interview, Hawk threatens to RAPE Ric "fuckin" Flair?!? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ng6kpHpcfdY

For sure they were a big influence on me as well. I loved their size and crazyness during interviews. Made me laugh yet pumped at the same time. Could care less about abs back then.

They sure were ahead of their time with their hair cuts!

Hasbin; could u post more about Animal in the gym? I remember an old wrestling mag where writer commented on Hawk's physique and power and he was like "Animal is the man he blows all power lifters away at every gym we visit." Always stuck with me, Animal was a true iron warrior

I think my post may be misleading.  I worked out with him once when he was in town. I was not his training partner. sorry if that was misconstrued.

he was huge, powerful and friendly.  there was a member that had possibly the best arms in the world (seriously, unbelievable, and I have seen most of the greats. triceps striated from elbow to rear delt, both heads. and biceps that still were peaked when his arm was almost straight. but the guy never ever trained legs. he said it was too painful ???)   anyway, animal complimented him on his arms and the kid snubbed him.  animal was PISSED!! for the rest of the workout everyone thought he was gonna kill the kid.  and this was back in the day when people would follow someone into the changeroom and beat them half to death when they deserved it.

my roommate at the time was a jobber in a match with Warlord.  he was 250 and could incline 5 plates for a single, and the Warlord ragdolled him so bad he never rassled again.  Warlord dwarfed him

Warlord was about the biggest guy there was with good proportions. He looked to be at least 40 lbs bigger than Animal.

Hawk was always my favorite. He had an awesome voice and intimidating presence. Great traps and triceps and pretty good chest. He did have some skinny legs. The best version of Hawk and Animal was their early days before they ever arrived in the WWF.

But wrestling is no different than acting. They all get their rear ends blasted by some guy (Bruce Patterson in wrestling) the casting people in Hollywood.

Funny as a kid, we all think of them as being almighty and alpha but now knowing what they did to get there, not so much...

I met Animal at the bar after WCW card at the Orange Bowl in Miami. He and Bill Kazmaier are two of the biggest thickest guys I have ever seen in person.

Favorite wrestlers as a kid, I remember being about 7 years old trying to stay up late to watch the wrestling and struggling to stay awake, then the road warriors came out and being so excited it was instantly wide awake and getting bollocked of me mam for practicing their 'jumping clothesline' off the arm of the cooch. Good times

Both guys were insanely thick. Huge muscle on top of very large frames. You just knew they were strong as fuck the minute you first saw them.

Massive dudes who looked cool with the spikes and face paints. Hawk particularly had a massive, ripped physique and his traps were out of control!
