Now they've announced CLASSIC PHYSIQUE (more muscle and in thongs) in addition to regular physique, and bodybuilding. With crossovers and all the female categories we already have, the shows will go till 2:00am. Lots of registration fees hauled in.

The NPC is all about money! I wouldnt have an issue with all the classes if bbing went on stage FIRST for prejudging AND Finals! If people want to stay for that other shit let them.

At least the ratio of thongs to board shorts will be higher.

They did it that way at s pro show I went to last year. It was smart because I suspect most of the crowd was there for mpd and bikini to see their friends and family get their 5 seconds of fame. I left before all of that and it was like 9 p.m. Already: they must have been there until midnight

Really... I would love to know what % of people go to these shows that are not friends and family?
It's a total racket where the competitors pay to be there, the patrons are almost forced to be there, and sponsors are mostly snake oil. It's mind boggling really.

The ideal situation would occur if the promoter can immediately publish after the weigh-ins an estimate of the starting time of each event and post it where the majority of the participants and ticket buyers can see it.
This, of course, is easier said than done; but it would give the ticket buyers an estimated time when the event they want to see would start.
There is a big turn-over within the audience due to this increase number of events (fans stay until the event they are interested in is over and those empty seats get full again), but I don't have any stats regarding audience turn-over.
It would be ideal for all concerned if estimated event times can be posted and adhered to, but as I said above.... that's easier said than done unless the contest was extended to a three day period.

I think 95% are friends and family Which is why the shows are no better than a high school musical production.
What's really sad are those who think that they will be on the road to fame and fortune doing this. The nationally qualified bikini competitor who thinks the pro card means she's a real pro athlete. They don't realize it's all a game.
