actually this country is going to shit. What the hell? America is still the best but come on. I've worked hard for everything I got. My dad escaped communist China and came here with 20 dollars and worked all his life and raised a good family. Despite him being spit on and cursed at and losing jobs due to being Asian back in the day. He met my mom who was a blonde Hungarian woman. They eloped and her family would not talk to then for years because she married an Asian. Slurs spit on all the time they used to tell me. But my parents saw the good in the world and loved everyone. My dad was a lovable guy who most in our neighborhood adored. We grew up in a non Asian area and was one of the only Asian boys in our school. My parents could have whined about the unfairness. About the abuse and slurs but they persevered and by God they loved America and were to proud to say they were OWED money because of this or that. Jesus this country is going to shit and political correctness is buying into it. I for one would be too proud and wouldn't take a fn cent if the govt paid restorations to Chinese. I mean wtf?

Yep. America isn't so liberal with communist countries but they for some reason view China as a democratic society.

haha!!!! Just my point!!!!!!! How many of the whiners that r screaming for reperations have a direct tie to the it? And who knows? my dad could have had a relative who came over in the cowboy days that died in basic torture building the railroads.
Obviously China wasn't always communist. There was free travel before the loonies took over. Tons of Chinese immigrants came over to build this country and serve won ton soup and launder clothes. I bet my great great grandpa died pounding a spike so can I please get my money now?

My point is that it's too late for reparations to fix anything. A fat check wouldn't undo a thing, re-write history, or affect the trajectory many people are on.
The idea of reparations is a political distraction.

Someone made a comment that reperations were already paid with 700,000 people 90% white who lost their lives in the civil war fighting slavery. If 700,000 is the total actually I don't know how many of those were from the North. But good point nonetheless.
