Title: The exercise experts have no idea what they are doing

New study shows stretching is now supposed to be good for you again.  Apparently the "experts" have been claiming stretching was no good for athletes.

I still won't stretch before weightlifting.  Way too lazy.

Over 30 years training and I never stretched.  I never tore or ripped a muscle either.  High rep warm ups sets with light weight is all I ever did.  If flat benching, I'd start with 65lbs x 50 reps, 95lbs x 30 reps, 135lbs x 20 reps, then start the work sets.

The time to stretch is after, not before.

I just jump rope or crosser to warm up . I do stretch in between sets though.  Flexibility I do more on off days.

Shaolin Monks stretch a lot and they are awesome. I say do your stretches and KNEW we were gonna see something like this soon.

That dumb ass from France published something on how it reduces power by 5% stretching pre workout and EVERYONE (mostly) bought into it without thinking for themselves.

Stretching is essential.
