Title: Climate change/global warming

You can disagree that the earth is round, but you're still wrong, no matter how much you disagree. I am less concerned whether or not scientists disagree, but whether or not they have good evidence to assert that climate change does not exist.

The current stance:

"That humans are causing global warming is the position of the Academies of Science from 80 countries plus many scientific organizations that study climate science. More specifically, around 97% of active climate researchers actively publishing climate papers endorse the consensus position."

So, unless there is a mass conspiracy among 80 countries and 97% of the scientists, then I will have to go with the preponderance of evidence.

If a large body of data contradicts climate change, then I will gladly change my position. But that has not been the case. And, of course, anyone can be wrong, include the 97% of climate scientists.

You repeat the thoroughly debunked "97% of (climate change) scientists" claim. We still hear this claim repeated over and over again and yet it doesn't stand up to scrutiny. Did you ever investigate where that
97% number came from?

So, even if it is less than 97-98%. For argument sake, let say its split 50/50. Then who is right? Each side has their own set of data to confirm their hypothesis. The best way to determine who is right would be to determine who has the most reliable and valid data.

However, since I know jackshit about the fields of Geography, Geology, Hydrology, Meteorology, Oceanography, etc, I am going to take the position of, "I don't know." But isn't that the fundamental difference between you and I? You're asserting that climate change doesn't exist, despite the fact that you have no real indepth knowledge about the area (unless you're a scientist and have equally weighed both sides of the argument by determining the best evidence). Whereas, I will not pretend to know about something I do not, and I will defer my current stance to, "I don't know," since there are competing theories.

And I have not asserted that climate change does not exist. The climate is changing all the time as it has in the past. The primary assertion of the liberal left "climate change" alarmists is that it is man made, primarily by our CO2 emissions.

I have read enough articles and listened to enough real scientists talk on the subject (via youtube) to see where the truth lies. For the record, EVERY prediction made by the IPCC about climate change (global warming)over the years has turned out to a failure. When the first climate prediction failed to come true, then they came up with more predictions, one after the other. And when they failed to materialize, they came up with more predictions.

Please provide links proving this.

Heartland Institute has been accused of being funded by the Koch brothers, especially regarding climate change.
