In the wake of this stunning revelation, Ted Cruz announced that he is going to drop his bid for the GOP nomination and resign his Senate seat, before retiring to Calgary. "The great people of the provice of Texas deserve better, " Cruz said. "A weight has been lifted from my shoulders. I can finally stop living this lie and be myself. I plan on going back home, having some poutine and reflecting on this experience, before I try to follow Nickelback on tour."

Asked if he would endorse any candidates, Cruz blurted out "no, no" and briefly paused before replying: "Look, I think that's for the American people to decide. I only hope that they can decide on a Prime Minister who is as forward-thinking and capable as Justin Trudeau."
