It doesn't fit into the anti-muslim and the "terrorism" agenda.
Also the police would be seen in a negative light.
But the real reason is:
It is true.
-
Who cares he probably deserved it ::)
-
More info?
-
Video hasn't been released.
At this point you have to take the officer's word on how things went down.
-
The cop that shot him was black. Not sure if that plays into the lack of common racial narrative that we usually see.

Bingo! We have a winner! :D
Black cop shoots and kills an unarmed teenager.

thats why... 100% for sure...

Most of the media coverage of the Baltimore riots and trial over Freddie Gray's death failed to highlight that two of the police officers involved were black. First trial was a black cop and the jury couldn't reach a verdict. Even the jury must've been confused after watching so much media coverage of yet another black man killed by white cops and then sitting on a jury for a black cop's trial. They'll find all the white cops guilty but that's not racist at all. ::)

3 black officers (one female), 3 white officers. Look at what they charged.

-
Austin was in the news a few months ago too for what looked like abuse.
Didn't someone get tased or something? There was clear video footage.

Which guy? ???
-
Which guy? ???
The murdered kid.
-
What did the kid do?

the sad thing is... IF the cops lie about what happened, they won't be punished for that lie.
cops aren't prosecuted enough for telling lies, which video later disproves. Their only fear is "I may have been caught on video". The rest of us would worry about "I may go to jail for lying" thing. They get caught saying something completely false, and it's just "oh, okay, let's rewrite this..."
Local guy was going to prison for grabbing a cop's gun when the cops raided his home. His own in-house video showed him on the ground getting kicked, not going for any gun. He was looking at a decade in prison for "going for my gun" and it never happened. They just quietly dropped the case. That cop should have been in prison for the ten years.

How does one discover this information if its not being reported?

It happened today. How about you all wait a few days until the complete story comes out before (as usual) rushing to judgement.

Some states give out mental health cards but that probably wouldn't have helped a naked person.

True. This reads of a drug related problem. No reasonable person runs around naked, much less rushing an officer while au natural. He may have been a fool like Len Bias who, while not running around naked and getting shot by the police did O.D. on cocaine (supposedly) the first time he tried it.
And some people want to legalize these types of drugs. After all, they're not hurting anyone but themselves...
Sad.

But his family already stated that he didn't have any mental health issues, and he didn't use drugs. He was a good boy, like by everyone, and fidden to go to college. He dindu nuffin. ???

Was probably experimenting with drugs. People refuse to get how dangerous some behavior is and still want to pass off responsibility. Sucks that the kid was shot but the cop didn't make him get high, stop taking psych meds, or whatever led to their interaction.
I feel worse for the cop in cases like this.

My youngest brother took his own life. He locked himself in a room, got drunk and blew his brains out. For the longest time our mom refused to accept that he did that. She was certain that someone killed him and this in spite of the room being locked from within, no signs of a struggle, etc. Sometimes, just sometimes, people refuse the reality of a situation no matter the evidence to sustain it.

LEOs suffer terribly when they fire their weapon. It's no small thing to take a life but often it is done to save another and not always that of the officer. On certain drugs, people can be incredibly strong and do great harm to others including murder. I will say that it is a blessing of sorts (and that is wrong on so many levels but needs saying) for the officer that he too is black because this negates a major portion of what may yet come from the left, i.e., so-called "racism".
The autopsy will reveal what, if anything, was in the boy's body that caused him to go out of his mind. Sad on all counts, but I agree, right now I feel for the officer.

Sorry for your loss.
"Twaddle" exemplifies how We have our heads in the sand regarding mental health and drug issues. Pretending it's only about race lets people believe they'll never be affected.
Blacks can be racist.
