Bush denies, but....
Yesterday, we talked about how it appears Jeb has seen the writing on the wall. It seems pretty clear that the Bush campaign is headed for the end, and only a miracle in South Carolina will save them. No candidate says “I should stop campaigning, maybe” unless they’ve already realized that’s the case.
Now we have further confirmation that this is the case. According to a piece (also published yesterday) by Erick Erickson, the Bush campaign has burned through hundreds of millions, has less than $15 million left, and will stop paying its staff on Saturday.

What a disaster. Jeb had the resources and has the proud political family name and he's running at 4% nationally for the Republican Presidential nomination lol. It's not just that the votes ain't there, but guy's been ridiculed on a daily basis, and (to add insult to injury) his brother's one feather in his cap - that "he kept America safe" - has been openly trashed by quite possibly the GOP's next nominee. Jeb probably would've been a better President than W. (how could he not be) but he didn't stand a chance after his brother got first kick at the can after their pops.

when all is said and done, it'll be a two-man showdown between Trump & Rubio and so the longer the others stay in the race only helps the Donald (especially when it comes to the winner-take-all states later on.)

Christ, Reagan won the Cold war..Kennedy ultimately made the Russians blink after learning from some early mistakes. Nixon got us out of Vietnam and largely had the thing wrapped up until the dems cut funding and he opened china. Ford...bad position....shit happens.

Born a millionaire and spent his life having his ass kissed by everyone around him. When it was time to roll up sleeves and tell Trump he was full of shit, Jeb! just didn't have it in him.
It's like Hitler invading the rhineland. His troops had orders to retreat if france even lifted a finger to stop them - they didn't GER got bold, and by the time FRA tried to fight, it was too late.
Jeb! tried to ignore/dodge/wimp out from early Trump attacks - and Trump grew bold and people envisioned Jeb! to be a wimp. Months later, he could use any prepared script he wanted - people already knew Jeb! was a wimp.
He's a millionaire, he was a successful governor, he maybe never wanted to run in the first place... he lost a LOT of intellectual hosrsepower by spending a decade smoking pot on the beach, pretty much retired lol. He will live happily ever after now - I bet Jeb! is more relieved than anything. He made worlds more sense over the last 2 months than Trump did. He'll be saying 'told ya so" for the next 30 years lol...

NPR says this:
Congress long ago passed a law limiting what candidates can do with unused campaign cash in particular, they can't take it home with them.
But that law doesn't apply to superPACs.
This is only the second presidential contest since superPACs were created, and there is no law regarding left over money for the groups given their relative infancy.
Is that why so many people were in the race early on? To walk away with a few mil in superPAC money, at the very least?
