Title: New Gym. Should I join?
Post by: SF1900 on February 24, 2016, 05:37:50 PM
New gym around my way. About 15 minutes from my home. Should I join? Only $180 per month.

$180 a month? I didn't click the link, but unless it has fluff girls in the locker room, I'd be hard pressed to join. I pay $41 month and it's a nice gym.

You can get a pedicure and manicure.

Just looks like a bunch of bullshit I have to wade through until I finally get to the iron.

Looks like they have a nice cafe. Can have a nice chai latte with skim milk after a work out.

Best looking and best equipped gym I've ever seen outside of the Orient is also a Lifetime Fitness here in Las Vegas and the monthly fee was $140 the last time I looked about a year ago.

Large and very fancy with its own waterpark int he back.

Looks somewhat similar to your new pace.

Average monthly monthly gym fee here in LV is now $10 with no need to sign a contract.

Gold's has gone completely.

Yes, this location also has a water park. Would love to join, then invite some getbiggers to jump in the pool with me.

$180 seems a little steep.

I've been a member of Lifetime.  It's great.  Very clean.  Awesome.  Tons of MILFs, too, with nothing better to do than be stared at.

BTW.  Negotiate that price down.  I never paid more than $125/mo.

My current gym has everything I need and cost $35.00 a month.

Not sure even $125.00 is worth it.

That's not a gym. It's a Spa. No self respecting Getbigger would belong to such a place. They probably don't allow sweating.

Just drive to Jones Beach, go for a run and do some body weight exercises. Cheaper and almost certainly more enjoyable.

gyms need to reinvent their gimmicks every few years. The social club thing is in I guess. Try going to one of those gym parties, not pretty but I gather everyone is super busy so there is some demand for this stuff.

I got a free trial to a slick gym with high fees,  it was full of weird old ladies.  ;D

There are two gyms in my town. One has beautiful brand new equipment. Maybe 30 treadmills alone.  All the rich people work out there. The other gym is a hardcore dump like Yates gym or Coleman's Metro. It has everything I need to get the job done. Some of the equipment is so dated though. Just one Hammer strength machine. People are nicer in the hard core dungeon gym too.

You should join if you don't mind spending the money. Milf city. I trained at the one 10 mins from where I live a handful of times. The workout atmosphere sucks, but it's nice if you're looking for excessive amenities.

Id imagine its like many of the LA Fitness clubs, especially the really big ones.

I may go check it out tomorrow. See if I can get a free pass to train there for a few days.  :D :D

That shouldn't be a problem. I remember seeing a guest pass sign-up on their site. I think it's good for a week.

I tried, but a guest pass is not available for the location I wanted to go to at this time :(

$180 a month?  What's that like only one schmoe session every two or three months?  Easy peasy.

Meh, can't see myself training hard in a place like that. I bet a lunch there costs like $50.
