Walking down the street on my way to lunch. An attractive but unremarkable woman is walking in front of me. We both walk down the same avenue in the east 30s then turn west on 32nd. At this point, the woman turns around and yells "Are you going to follow me for the rest of the day?!" I said "Ms, you need to get a grip. I haven't been following you for any part of the day." Then she goes "What a creep. I am going to post your pic on instagram. Why don't you follow me there, asshole!" Then she acts like she's searching for her phone. I don't know if she took my picture.
This is not the first time a woman has convinced herself I was following her, but it is the most hysterical reaction. There's this Anziz Ansari comedy special on netflix and there's this bit about how every woman in the audience has been followed by a guy. I don't doubt that this is something women have to put up with, but I also feel like it's something that a lot of women imagine (flatter themselves?)

Believe it or not, incident happened exactly as I said. A lady that I barely noticed, happened to be walking in the same direction as me, then flipped out.

Not a close walker. I actually specifically don't "close walk" because people have a tendency to come to a dead stop while looking at their phones.

Seriously? You've never been walking behind a woman and she makes an obvious stop to let you pass, while she randomly looks in her purse?
I can categorically say that I don't give off a creepy vibe. A big part of my job is being personable, approachable and having decent looks.
-
sorry to hear this. a lot of women are paranoid but...
I've noticed a lot have a kind of sixth sense where they can always tell if you're looking at them hehe
this is where a newspaper can come in handy to quickly obscure your gaze and avoid being discovered.

Have I ever walked behind a woman before? Of course.
However, I've never gotten that close to where they call me a "creep" or an "asshole."
Further, you stated, "This is not the first time a woman has convinced herself I was following her."
Clearly, if this is not the first time it occurred, then you must be giving off some creepy vibe or acting in a weird manner.

My proximity to her had nothing to do with her calling me an "asshole". As I stated earlier, I have a practical reason for keeping a certain distance between me and other people when walking on the street. The issue seemed to be that I was walking in the same direction and turned at the same time she did.

That doesn't stand to reason. Women that I considered hideous have thought I was flirting with them or trying to pick them up during the course of forced polite conversation. That doesn't mean I must be giving off a flirtatious vibe or acting in a flirty manner. People who I felt completely apathetic towards have told me they thought I hated them before they got to know me. You don't need to be giving off any sort of vibe for people to react to you. Furthermore, guys have stopped and turned back when they've heard my footsteps behind them and I've turned around when I've heard footsteps behind me.

There have been times where I have walked in the same direction as people, and no one ever called me a creep or asshole. I just asked two friends if this stuff ever happened to them. Their answers "nope."

Interesting, I, and many other people have never had these experiences.

Almost every guy I know here in the city- black, white and even asian- has walked behind a woman and experienced her stopping to purposely let him pass. When I told this story at work, all of the guys just said women in this city are so full of themselves and the women said that they have to be. It wasn't even a question of whether or not it happens or whether these women are loons or even whether the guys are behaving in an objectively creepy way. I'm not sure if you understood the original post, but I did not say I've been yelled at by a woman for allegedly following her before, just that I've noticed women walking ahead of me
then acting as if they thought I was following them.
Do you live in a city? Walking more than a block is not as common in some places, but it's something almost everyone does in NYC.

I specifically said women that I didn't find attractive. The much more logical assumption is that they were just seeing what they want to see.
Hate to tell ya, but life isn't so binary that any experience you haven't had means that there's only one reason someone else might have it. :-\

I wasn't attacking you bro, I literally meant I've never had a woman ask if I was following them in an offensive manner, my mistake, I misunderstood.
I know for a fact people (men and women) were uncomfortable that we ended up on the same path for an extended period, and I would make light of it saying something along the lines of this is awkward, or I'd try to get ahead of them and pass.
I've also encountered mentally deranged women and men who would yell at me as I was walking towards them as if I had met them before.

But next time OP a girl threatens to take your pic and post it up tell her "not before i take yours (wipe out camera, take pic) and post it bitch!

Nah, you don't want to get into it with some crazy bitch. Nothing good can come of it.
Just say, "I'm not following you," and move on.
Most of the time, in life, the less you say, the better.

you sound like the ugly fuk that goes and sits right next to the hot girl when there are numerous seats un-occupied, or uses the treadmill right next to the hottie when the gym is empty...its so obvious to everyone except you!!

I honestly didn't think you were attacking me, I just thought you might have misunderstood what I meant and tried to clarify. Agreed it does happen with guys and girls and I typically don't take offense to either guys or girls trying to break lockstep or whatever.

That previous post was just a ridiculous argument, bro. I don't know when I'm flirting? In a thread where I'm being accused of stalking a woman because we walked in the same direction for two blocks. If I was actually stalking her, would it make sense to blame it on her giving off unconscious vibes that she wasn't even aware of? ???

I was referring to the women who say you are flirting. Not the incident where the girl basically called you a creepy stalker.
Its an intersubjective dance between subjective minds.

Yes, I know what you were referring to. I was highlighting how a bad argument becomes glaringly stupid in a slightly different context.

Obviously a feminist. Unlikely to make any man feel rapey.
And if a man had bad intentions and was following a woman, would it be wise for the woman to confront him? Just sayin. And it sounds like she had tickets on herself, such is the current feminist climate that encourages 5's and 6's to think they are 9's and 10's.

Yeah, I follow them around. ??? Notice how many times slobcock has posted in this thread. Notice who started the thread. I've never posted in threads started by either of them or addressed them first in a thread. Wasn't even aware of either one until they started acting like they were on their periods when responding to my posts. It's nice to see you're keeping track of who I'm allegedly feuding with, but like I said, wrong is your thing. ;)
And the subconscious premise is just asinine. The idea that I could be physically repulsed by someone and consciously conversing with them in a manner that couldn't be described as anything more intimate than polite, yet somehow their perception of my intentions supercedes my own is absolutely idiotic. Whether or not most of our actions are subconscious doesn't even come into play.

Link to one of these threads. I only recall responding to scott in 3 threads and in two of them he kept complaining because I was ignoring him.

I mean with either scott of slobcock. I know there was a thread a while back where TA and I went on for a while about aspects of the civil war, but I didn't realize I was feuding with these other two until they pointed it out.

I quite enjoy walking about at night (10-2am) just to clear my head before going to sleep, as strange as that may sound.
Bumping into people at night, at such a time, usually gets some funny reactions. Which I tend to escalate due to finding it hilarious.
I've noticed that pretty much every woman, if not all, tend to speed up significantly when they become aware someone's walking behind them.
Obviously I'm not going to be outrun by some woman, so I'll speed up a little too. And you can just notice the panic that's going through their mind. Completely irrational, and slightly offensive in thinking I would harm them, but most of all just rather entertaining.
Men are even more entertaining. Especially when sitting inside a parked car. Just making eye-contact makes them immediately look away followed by the obvious 'click' of the doorlocks. While I do drive around with doors locked, I have never done so as a reaction to a single or multiple person. It seems ridiculous to me.
The stupidity in all of it though, is the false sense of security and irrational thinking that triggers their reactions. What makes a woman think she could possibly outrun me if I had wanted something from her? Or what safety would a locked door provide for a man that gets scared via eye-contact? The fact of the matter is, that if I wanted, I would have. And there isn't a damn thing you could do about it unless you had a weapon of sorts with significant stopping power.
Yet here we are, I'm just stretching my legs whilst listening to R.E.M. - Uberlin (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZITh-XIikgI), intensly happy, and here you are; on edge.

I'm guessing you don't live in the US, because if so, you might find yourself looking at the business end of a life-ending device. I'm sure that Conker will rouse himself from his drunken stupor to defend the right of large men to intimidate women as much as they want, just as long as the scourge of firearms is eradicated from the planet.
And before any of you Euro-fags bring it up, yes, my wife is trained in combat handgun and appropriate use-of-force laws for our jurisdiction and yes, she would put three in your chest and one in your brain pan.

The thing is, I'm not trying to intimidate them. It's just a ridiculous situation all around. I am of the opinion that anyone, regardless, should be able to freely go about their business without being bothered by anyone. Ideally anyways.
There is a difference between irrational fear and legitimately taking caution to protect yourself.
I don't generally walk around looking like some third-world ghetto thug either. I simply cannot relate at all to having such fears.

- Uberlin (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZITh-XIikgI), intensly happy, and here you are; on edge.
even funnier would be you are maced and charged with attempted rape whilst on your so called jovial walks :)

I don't where this "Ideal" place where you live is located, but it ain't NYC. It's perfectly rational for a woman to have her head on a swivel.

Matter of fact, a friend(girl) pulled out a can of mace yesterday. Sadly she was not open for my proposal to use it, despite me being genuinly curious to the effects and whether I would still be able to function. But I'll attempt to persuade her on another occasion.
even funnier would be you are maced and charged with attempted rape whilst on your so called jovial walks :)
As for whatever image of a deplorable human you have in mind of me. You're probably wrong, atleast on certain aspects.
While this situation did in fact take place, I have only ever done so once. Now I realize some of you might take offense to that, but I have no influence over past-events. I also did apologize to her afterwards, as I didn't really intend to frighten her like I did.
Obviously I'm not going to be outrun by some woman, so I'll speed up a little too
While I indeed take joy in the fact people are skittish. It's not because of intimidation. It's because I find the ordeal utterly ridiculous.
When did people become so timid? That a person approaching you, behind you, or making eye connection for a brief moment immediately triggers panic? Simply the fact that you're there apparently is enough.
I find that absolutely insane.
-

Yes, they are generally quite jovial. I absolutely love walking around outside when it's dark and the world just seems to have stopped.
Sadly the lights from the city drown out the stars, otherwise it would have been perfect.

I know now you are a african gentleman.
Pretty sure he is an Hebreic and not in Ibiza getting the girls.
What he is talking about has never happened us normal people.

It a handsome man like Groink was walking behind her she would have hit on him.
"Below average looking felon like Groink"

Ah, yes. Since you're keeping track, sf1900, make sure you don't forget to include kwon in my official fanclub directory. Somehow, he still manages to be confused about whether or not I'm black. ???

You're outing another one of your gimmicks phaggot
You sound absolutely insane.

if it's any consolation I've been stalking Al Doggity for some time and would love to join the fan club list

There are only a few people that you follow around like a puppy dog. I never thought Kwon was one of them. Further, I don't think Kwon is a fan of yours.

Kwon follows me around more than wally and scott do. He's my biggest fan of all.
Once again, please post one of these threads in which I am allegedly following either one around like puppies. Seriously. My post history isn't that extensive, so it wouldn't be hard to find. And you know you ain't doing shit else for the rest of the day but posting on this site, so it's not like you don't have the time. Slobcock was literally the second poster in this thread, so you don't even have to look at post history to see that what you're saying is wrong.

kwon is a fan of most things descended from africa I hear Al has a big booty so that explains it.

Riding this turd gimmick right into the ground aren't you?
Jesus Christ some of the phaggots on this board are beyond pathetic

LOL! Al Doggity, the biggest stalker there ever was of Pellius.
What a simple-minded Hebrew.
AL Doggity, that women will move to the other sidewalk even crossing the road when they see a Hebrew coming their way or that they will be afraid and hold their purse tighter as they sense a Hebrew stalking them is something you will experience quite often times you burrheaded coon.
It's a custom in any civilized country where these black animals have started to pour in.

According to sf1900, you wouldn't even know. It's unconscious.
You can call it whatever you want, but the way the 3 of you plead and do backflips for my attention speaks volumes.

Plead and do backflips? What are you on, you ignorant mossheaded Jiggaboo?
Only thing you need to know is to learn your place in society, nignog.
Stay at least 9-10 yards away from normal people and there will be no callouts on your stalking behavior and you can go on your merry way and be a KFC and Watermelon-afficionado elsewhere.
And stay away from other people's bikes!

Yes, pleading and doing backflips. And thanks, but I'll take a pass on learning from any knowledge you have to share. I feel like it's a safe assumption that my "place in society" is preferable to yours.

^^^ This. She sounds like just another angry narcissistic self entitled bitch desperate to blame men for all their problems, in this case a man probably hasn't worshipped at her pussy for a week or two and she is jealous of her female peers enjoying more attention than her, she can now tell everyone at work how she was stalked the night before (obviously because she is super desirable ::)) Women are fucked up creatures.

She was okay. Not beautiful, but not hideous. Latina, prob late 30s. She was wearing a long fur-coat- (open) over a business suit, heavy make up. She didn't look like she was in the area for typical daily business. She clearly wasn't feeling threatened. Even the most paranoid woman isn't that concerned about a guy who shares the same three block route along Madison avenue in midtown at 1pm. There was something else going on with her- maybe a bad day, maybe she just got dumped, maybe she's just New York's most ambitious drama queen.

Sure it is, if you think streetcred is the bee's knees and prefer scaring women and children as you walk down the street, convict.

No, I just mean by regular, objective standards of success. I get the impression that you are probably a real life loser and you feel like your one saving grace is that you are white. Of course, I could be wrong and you could be doing great, but the other day when you rated your looks and your physique 1-3, that didn't surprise me. I don't have that much of an impression of you, but that fell right in line with what I kind figured about you. The personal life seems like it would probably rate around the same, too. Like I said, maybe you are doing great. Who am I to say for certain? It's the internet and you can convince yourself that I am a welfare recipient posting from prison, I can convince myself that you are a gargoyle/hermit welfare recipient and in the end, it makes no difference.

I have not been home the whole day, hence my lack of posting this afternoon into mid-evening. Was very tough.
Thus, as you can see, I have not been able to provide any evidence today. But thanks for playing. :D :D :D
Plus, it doesn't take much to see in your posting history the conflicts between you and other posters--you can tell how angry you get at them.
-
I logged off for the afternoon, pretending I had something to do so I could avoid addressing the non-existent "proof" you asked me to link to. It hadn't occurred to me that Al Doggity probably forgot about that post seconds after he posted it, but hopefully enough time has passed because I can barely contain myself in anticipation of this Branch Warren thread I am about to start.
There... fixed that for ya. ::) And here's a newsflash: No one cares about you posting "evidence". Especially me, since I know for a fact that yo ass is lying. So you didn't have to pretend to have a life. You could have started a thread on Branch Warren's deteriorating rear lat spread the minute you found the pics.

I actually try to be very aware of this, if I notice that a woman is ahead of me going in the same direction as me, I'll intentionally stop and read something in my phone or look around to give her time to establish some distance or turn a corner or whatever then I'll continue on my way.
Just makes everyone feel better.

what is the point? i think she'll know when you don't kill her that you weren't following her
just speed up and walk ahead of her and don't hold the door open for her, she has too much ego if she thinks any guy walking the same direction as her is following her

Jesus H Christ, talk about taking White Knighting to the next level. If you're intentions are good, there is no need to alter your behaviour in public. If women have issues, they are THEIR issues, it isn't the responsibility of random men to make women feel safer.
