Title: Frank Zane or Branch Warren?
Post by: Coffeed on March 02, 2016, 10:13:56 AM: I am likely one of the few who listened to that recent Bostin Loyd podcast interview. One of the things he was adamant about is that everyone would rather look like a mass monster of today rather than Frank Zane.

While I do not hold Bostin's logic or critical thinking in high regard, it was a bit interesting.

So I was curious, is there anyone that would choose to look like Branch rather than Frank Zane? If you're not a competitor, then why?

I'll have to pick Zane but only at his all time biggest. He was damn good then otherwise, he's just too thin.

Maybe he was trolling? And maybe it is he that would rather look like a mass monster?
Maybe it's a phase that we all go through? Almost all competitor bodybuilders from the 90s to now tended to look better their first few years or when they were lighter. The only really aesthetic mass monster was Dillett, and that is pushing it.

Even if Branch was 6'1-3" he'd look like a mutated T-Rex

If you listen to the interview, you can tell he's being serious.

You're on to something about the "phase" though. Most of us probably grow out of it once we hit college age and realize there is far more to being a fulfilled human than FLEX magazine-caliber muscles.

I really like Bostin's honesty and openness, but I would only urge my kids to learn from him what not to strive to be.

And don't even think about looking good in clothes...something that most of us wear most of the time unless we do nothing other than workout and pose on the dais in our thongs.

Like a severe herniated disc at the lower thoracic or lumbar and possibly somewhere else due to the arms being smaller. He still has the wheels it seams (yeah not as crisp as the young branch pictures) but i have heard many athletes say legs go quickly with age not just with bodybuilding ,basketball , football etc. then add a touch of palumboism

didnt branch used to have the extended belly button? I could be wrong but i coulda swear one year he had it then it was magically gone.
