Impressive. Question, how come he drops it at the end, whereas Hall got a no lift for doing the same thing in Leeds?

Different organisations, different rules. Which is okay, as long as nobody tries to go all powerlifting up in this biotch and tries to compare lifts that are incomparable. Both awesome lifts in their own right.
Will be good to see if Hall can beat his own WR this July at the World Deadlift Championships, or if Shaw can take it from him! Will be an amazing event once again, if only I would be watching it live from the VIP area! Oh, wait. I will. ;D

Eddie Hall pulled 1026 at ASC, even if his form was shittier than Shaw's.

My only beef is, with all the hype and press these strongmen deadlifts receive, it'll just further confuse Joe Dontknowfuck about the variances of feats between sports/feds. Like the support gear before it.
As it is, VERY few know jack-all about the world of strength performance. Even a majority of those who spend a lot of time working out.
Witness a load of members here, for example.

When the MC says, "All that training. All that preparation. All that blood, sweat and tears," everyone in the room is thinking, "All those boatloads of gear."

I see your point, but this is precisely why this is a great move. We now see a comparison being possible from stiff comp bar to special DL bar, as they are done by the same lifters. Perhaps this will reduce the confusion a bit.

Big strong dude for sure.

No one thinks enough about "the world of strength performance" to get confused.
