Title: Best FDB ever?

Pretty much no weak bodyparts. Can you spot one weakness? ??? Even rocks a vacuum pose.

Even standing alone, with no reference points plus a favorable angle, his head to body ratio makes him look exceptionally short even for a bodybuilder.

And the arms are so short, his proportions would actually be better if he decreased his biceps and triceps.

Jose has an OK FDB. Doesn't look his best there, though.

The left side of his body appears a bit smaller than the right.

Only folks like us would notice when pressed.   It's very slight but vastus medialus and tricep appear to lack balance.

Still looks great.

His lower body does not seem as lean/grainy as normal. Next to Ramy though, Ramy takes this shot.

your kidding right?  Of course it's not even close to the best front double bi ever. He looks great compared to me but ok compared to the greats. And since when are calves not a body part judged in bodybuilding?  Quite weak I'd say.

Post by: Kwon_2 on March 05, 2016, 08:27:45 AM
One thing standing alone in a pic not compared with anyone else.

When someone else steps in the picture you will see how short he is.
Also his waist could be alot slimmer.

He has a great FDB compared to lets say Mel Tormé or Chad Mower though

Poor separation between biceps and triceps.  No biceps peak.  Triceps look "enhanced" -- soft and mildly asymmetrical.  Stumpy lower body.  No calves.  Lower body could be leaner.  Chest looks flat.

This shit isn't even in the 100 best FDBs of all time.

Ok for my amusement I'll give critique, of this shot:

-Lack of separation between bis and tris
-Lack of separation in the legs
-Pecs could be a tag bigger
-Calves look weak
-Lats appear somewhat high
-Small proportioned serratus
-Abs a little blurred, could be sharper
-Bis and tris too big (!) compared to forearms, and to the whole physique

Overall quite good and pretty "complete", but nothing to write home about, and he is short also. The head is too big for the body.

Abs look deep and separated to me. So it's not the no1 best shot of any BB ever, it's still damn impressive. Better arms than Dorian for instance. Doesn't have alien lats agreed. Legs could have more sweep and/or cuts. Still good overall flow. If he was 5' 11" he'd be killing it at the Olympia etc.

I agree about Nasser. He should have taken the title that year and quite possibly 1997 as well. Yates came in too light and depleted, as did Levrone in 1996. Nasser was a monster that year.

As for they Haney pic, I believe it was from the 1987 Mr. Olympia, which also saw the return of a diminished 215 pound starved Bertil Fox, who once competed at 235-240 (in the early 80's).

ARNOLDS signature poses are still impressive to this day.He posed effortless and his bodyparts popped ,fdb pose yes the arms are displayed to be focus but on a  bber like Arnold the lats pop out from front like a cobra and even his chest pulls up still full looking and looks like he has a chest plate on 'most people chests disappear in this pose'.

Looks leaner than Shawn Gay in both of those pics. Narrower than Heath as well

Very submissive gesture by Ray. It wouldn't be the first time he helped make Lonnie rock hard

Dexter Jackson has no pec size and a puny rib cage overall.

He is a heavily drugged-up bantam weight.

Good enough from the front and that's what matters

Ribcage is still too puny there. He'll never win a Sandow. Oh wait!

Had he not have gotten sick, Jay would possibly never have been Mr. O, or even close to Ronnie. Francois possibly may have been a contender in 1998.

Flex's muscle shape is so superior to Coleman's. He's destroying him in those shots, not even close.

yeah he had that rugged muscularity look, and he just blew it up 93 on up...had the structure to do it ,except 97 he was done all around.but even at 90 night of champs benaziza won for his back being better than yates'yates then went on a back crusade'to improve and then haney got to him too 91,,after that yates had the best lats going for a while..
