Vermont was the first state to have permitless concealed carry (In fact, before it was even called "Constitutional Carry" it was known as "Vermont Carry"). Vermont doesn't have an "assault weapons" ban, doesn't restrict magazine capacity, and doesn't even restrict NFA (National Firearm Act of 1934) weapons, which means that silencers and even gasp machine guns are legal!
With 1.1 homicides per 100,000 residents, the apocalyptic hellhole known as Vermont is currently the 2nd safest state in America with a homicide rate approximately 20% lower than Canada (1.4 homicides per 100,000).

The number of people identifying themselves as black more than doubled to 6,277. Blacks make up 1% of Vermonters. Vermont's population of Hispanics, who can be of any race, grew by 67% to 9,208. The number of Asian Americans and those identifying themselves as of two or more races increased by about 50%.Feb 10, 2011

Vermont is absolutely beautiful.
I think its probably the best state in the US to live in. I just wish it wasn't so cold in the winter!

I agree. I almost decided to go to UVM, all the way from TX. But my scholarship (full ride) was only good for schools in state.

The people there are all very intelligent as well. Its like a different America totally. Only if the rest of America could think and be like Vermont. ;)

It's because Vermont is all white. It's a great place for whites who love cabins and snow. Put in 10,000 blacks and see if those no gun control stats stay the same.

It's like you finally got it together! But I guess you forgot old Bern wants to ban any firearms that aren't used for hunting.

http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/jurisprudence/2015/05/bernie_sanders_on_guns_vermont_independent_voted_against_gun_control_for.html
they should remember that the Vermont senator stands firmly to Clinton’s right on one issue of overwhelming importance to the Democratic base: gun control. During his time in Congress, Sanders opposed several moderate gun control bills. He also supported the NRA–backed law that may block Sandy Hook families from winning a lawsuit against the manufacturer of the gun used
But his voting record paints the picture of a legislator who is both skeptical of gun control and invested in the interests of gun owners—and manufacturers. In 1993, then-Rep. Sanders voted against the Brady Act, which mandated federal background checks for gun purchasers and restricted felons’ access to firearms. As a senator, Sanders supported bills to allow firearms in checked bags on Amtrak trains and block funding to any foreign aid organization that registered or taxed Americans’ guns.
Sanders is dubious that gun control could help prevent gun violence, telling one interviewer after Sandy Hook that “if you passed the strongest gun control legislation tomorrow, I don’t think it will have a profound effect on the tragedies we have seen.”
Sanders’ deep-blue state has both high gun ownership and incredibly lax gun laws, and it’s perfectly logical for the senator to support his constituents’ firearms enthusiasm. And a close friend of Sanders once said that the senator “thinks there’s an elitism in the anti-gun movement.”

Bernie Sanders is surprisingly pro-gun
Sanders has said that "sensible gun-control legislation" is needed, so long as it doesn't infringe on the rights of responsible gun owners.

Put it this way. Donald Trump wants WAY more gun control than Bernie Sanders has ever even thought of.

Raise your hand if any of you have spent any time in Vermont......
Ok anyway I went to college there. Vermont is very rural. The upper end or Northeast kingdom is as backwoods as it gets. The rednecks are no different then in any place in the country. The capital is tiny and liberal. Burlington is a great college town but very liberal. Other then that there is nothing. As far as the white/black thing....there is a huge federal law enforcement presence because of the lakes, major highways and the Saint Lawrence seaway. There's a lot of drugs that flow through Burlington, down 89 and either into Mass or New York. I used to bounce and bartend in Burlington. We had one of our Nubian brothers attempt to pull a firearm one night in a crowd....it didn't work out so well for him as the two off duty BPD cops that were always drinking at our place beat the shit out of him. I'm not crazy about no laws governing CCL's. Anyway that's Vermont...yeah its friggen cold but whatever.
will take the following concrete steps to reduce gun violence: strengthen and better enforce the instant background check system; close the gun-show loophole; make 'straw man' purchases a federal crime; ban semi-automatic assault weapons which are designed strictly for killing human beings; and work to fix our broken mental health system

::) Yeah I doubt that, the Donald carries and wants others to carry as well. Also in my research I've found Bernie to be rather moderate, taking a more common sense stance. I take back my comment from earlier. He still remains a white guilt cuckold though.

No worries Mr. Shape.
Things are looking REALLY good for Bernie at this point and his momentum is building and Hillary is losing big time.
With that said, if for some strange reason I can't vote for Bernie, I will vote for Trump. So there is that.

Agreed.
I love watching Donald. He is hilarious and is totally cleaning up the GOP, something that needed to be done years ago.
