so let see if i have this right. pitcher brings his teenager to 120 home and away games, in the club house and during batting practice. the club tells him that he can't bring the kid anymore, so he retires.
leaves 13 million on the table. whatever.
left fielder for the dodgers hits a foul ball off his shin, going to miss three games to rest his shin??

Historically, most sports and physicality in general have been the terrain of homosexual and bisexual men and this is even more evident in bodybuilding.
In the olden days heterosexual men were obsessed running after women while homosexual and bisexual men where playing sports encouraging each other to become more athletic thus strengthening bondings. Because there is a common attraction, rivalry and negative competition is less common compared to heteosexual men and this enabled them to strive for athleticism encouraging each other towards that goal.

Hitting a baseball takes some skill, but the sport is filled with overpaid fags who cant play if they have a hangnail.
NFL and NBA is filled with thugs & drugs, the gangsta' attitude is old, stupid and tired now.
NHL, toughest sport there is, and toughest people. Blades on feet, hard walls and ice surface, fighting, 100 mph pucks. sticks swinging.

With that being said, in a world were a pro bodybuilder has to practically prostitute himself in order to feed himself/cover drugs expenses etc.... A pro baseball player can walk away from 13 million dollars salary if feels like it .

Certainly it is currently not proven, but it sounds like they are working on that as quickly as possible.

They were talking about this on Dan Lebatard this morning (I dislike him). Basically they said the clubhouse was split on racial lines over this, and someone who stuck up for LaRoche, who was white, screamed at the black general manager. Also said it was Abreu that complained because he had left his son behind in Cuba and it made home sad to see LaRoche with his kid everyday. Solution? Go back to Cuba and get your kid.

MLB pays millions in insurance to have kids catch fly balls during the Home Run Derby at the Allstar break. And that's just for one game. Having your kid on the field everyday shagging fly balls and running drills with the team isn't a good thing. My guess is someone from the teams insurance company got wind of how often this kid is in the line of fire and said, get him off the field or your rates are going to be going up significantly...Kid was an accident waiting to happen...If your hitting 30 to 40Hr a year, the club might eat that insurance cost. But not when you're barely hitting .200 with 12 Hrs.
