Title: How long is Protein powder good for?
Post by: biggerisbetter on March 20, 2006, 03:49:01 PM
I just found a 10lb container of MHP Protein that I put in my cabinet around 3 years ago. Is the protein still effective, or does the powder break down over time?

If it's bad, you'll know - it will stink and taste nasty.  There might even be some mold  :-X

just taste it, if it's nasty: throw it away.
If it's drinkable/good and you don't feel sick hours after consuming, it's good.

Peace

there's got to be an expiration date on it.  Usually have a shelf life of 2-3 years depending on the manufacturer
