There is no way this man should be anywhere near the White House.  He doesn't know how to pick his battles.  He has an innate need to retaliate whenever he feels slighted.  He would totally abuse the office.

Trump lashes out over hostile ad featuring his wife, vows to 'spill the beans' on Cruz spouse
Published March 23, 2016
FoxNews.com

In a Republican primary race that’s seen its share of insults and mud-slinging, the battle between front-runner Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz got even uglier Wednesday – as the candidates clashed over attacks on each other's wives.

The Texas senator came out swinging Wednesday, telling CNN, “If Donald wants to get in a character fight he’s better off sticking with me, because Heidi is way out of his league.”

Cruz was responding to threats made by the New York businessman after an anti-Trump super PAC produced a Facebook ad showing Trump’s wife Melania posing nude.

Trump took to Twitter Tuesday – making a not-so-thinly veiled threat regarding Cruz’s wife Heidi Cruz.

The real estate mogul tweeted that the Texas senator should "be careful" or he would "spill the beans on your wife.”

"Lyin' Ted Cruz just used a picture of Melania from a G.Q. shoot in his ad. Be careful, Lyin' Ted, or I will spill the beans on your wife!" Trump tweeted Tuesday evening, just minutes before polls closed in Arizona. Trump tweeted and deleted a similar version of the tweet about 10 minutes earlier.

Trump appeared to be referring to a Facebook advertisement targeted to Mormons that shows Trump's wife, Melania, posing nude. That ad was produced by an anti-Trump super PAC, Make America Awesome, which has no known connection to the Cruz campaign.

Cruz responded on Twitter by saying that the ad was not from him and if he went after his wife, then Trump is a "coward."

"Pic of your wife not from us. Donald, if you try to attack Heidi, you're more of a coward than I thought. #classless," Cruz tweeted.

On Wednesday, Cruz reiterated he had no affiliation with the super PAC but added that Trump’s bad behavior may have been the result of a “bad night in Utah.”

Cruz won the Republican contest in Utah Tuesday, capturing more than 50 percent of the vote and all 40 of the state’s delegates. Trump won the night's Arizona primary.

"When Donald gets scared, when he gets angry, when he gets threatened ... So last night Donald threatened my wife, he went directly after my wife,” Cruz said.

Heidi Cruz is a senior executive for Goldman Sachs, and took a leave from work in order to help her husband's campaign. She has become one of the campaign's most accomplished fundraisers.

Why isn't Donald Trump disgusted by his wife, Melania? (Letters to the Editor)

Melania Trump: If Bill Clinton's sordid sexual background is fair game for political attacks, so is Melania Trump's. There's a photo making the rounds showing Melania in a see-through dress, sans bra, standing next to The Donald. The caption should read, "Melania and her three boobs." There are other easily-found and revealing photos of her on the Internet. Why haven't those photos made it to the mainstream media? I'm outraged at the hypocrisy. If The Donald is disgusted by Hillary's bathroom break, why is he not disgusted by his wife's naked form floating around the Internet? If the media wants to dredge up Bill's past, then Melania Trump's past needs to be dredged up as well.

Melania Trump: from nude supermodel to first lady? (w/video)
By Mary Jordan, Washington Post
Thursday, October 1, 2015

Before she met Donald Trump at the Kit Kat Club in Manhattan and stepped into a glitzy world of limos and penthouses, diamonds and caviar, Melania Knauss lived quietly.

She grew up in one of the anonymous concrete apartment buildings of Yugoslavia when Josip Tito was its socialist leader and over-the-top capitalism, let alone full-blown Trumpism, didn't exist.

"She never really wanted to stand out or be the center of attention," said Mirjana Jelancic, an elementary school friend in the hilly town of Sevnica in what is now Slovenia.

Then she married The Donald.

The former high-fashion model started her own "Melania" line of jewelry, marketed a $150-an-ounce moisturizer made with caviar and wore a $200,000 Dior gown at their splashy Palm Beach wedding a decade ago.

Now, Melania Trump, 45, who shies away from speaking in public, finds herself directly in the 2016 campaign spotlight, an unconventional spouse of a most unconventional presidential candidate.

She would be the first first lady born abroad since Louisa Adams, wife of John Quincy Adams, who moved into the White House in 1825. She is Trump's third wife — another first for a first lady. Ronald Reagan, with a single ex-wife when he took office, was the only other divorced U.S. president.

She might also be the most linguistically gifted first lady, as she speaks four languages including heavily accented English. And, without doubt, she would be the only first lady to have posed in the buff while lying on a fur blanket handcuffed to a leather briefcase, as she did aboard Trump's jet for British GQ in 2000.

"She provides great balance" to Trump, said Roger Stone, the candidate's former political adviser who has known the couple since before they were married. She is smart — "not just an armpiece," Stone said. "She would be the most glamourous first lady since Jackie Kennedy."

Melania Trump has been on the edges of political campaigns in the past, as in 2000, when her then-boyfriend briefly sought the Reform Party nomination. During that campaign, she posed in crimson bikini on a rug adorned with the Great Seal of the United States for the now-defunct Talk magazine. And while she has largely maintained a quiet, stand-by-your-man persona, she has at times mixed it up on political issues.

In April 2011, when Trump was considering a run for president and was one of the leading "birthers" challenging the validity of President Obama's birth certificate and U.S. citizenship, Melania defended her husband on TV, saying he was "brilliant" and had a "genius's mind."

"What's this with the birth certificate obsession? Did he ask to see yours when you met him?" asked television interviewer Joy Behar.

"Do you want to see President Obama's birth certificate or not?" Melania responded, noting that what she had seen so far was "different" than a birth certificate. "It would be very easy if President Obama would just show it," she said. "It is not only Donald who wants to see it. It's the American people."

So far in the 2016 campaign season, Melania Trump has shown more of her homebody side than her provocative one. She only rarely accompanies her outspoken husband as he criss-crosses the country in his private Boeing 757.

Friends said she prefers to stay at home — or homes, actually, in New York and Palm Beach — with the couple's 9-year-old son, Barron. On the campaign trail, her 69-year-old husband, who is 24 years her senior, has said that Melania is watching him on TV from home.

"My wife said something very interesting," Trump said last month on CNN. "She's my pollster, okay?"

Trump, who famously obsesses over his poll numbers, said his wife gave him great approval ratings, saying, "'You know, if you actually announce, you're going to win.'"

•••

Paolo Zampolli wanted to throw a memorable party for his ID Modeling Agency during New York's Fashion Week in 1998, so he chose the Kit Kat Club, a hot Manhattan night spot.

He filled the place with models, including Melania Knauss, the statuesque young Slovenian he had discovered working in Milan and Paris.

Zampolli said he often traveled through Europe's fashion scene each year, selecting models who had not only the looks but also the temperament to survive the grueling pace of New York modeling.

In Melania, he said, he found someone "stable and focused."

Melania Knav, who changed her surname to Knauss as her modeling career took off, was not only striking and smart but a practical girl who could sew and "create beautiful clothes," childhood friend Jelancic said.

That low-key lifestyle continued when Melania arrived in New York in the mid 1990s, said Edit Molnar, another model and friend. She saved her money and avoided the party scene.

"She was a homebody," Molnar said in a telephone interview from Paris, where she now lives. "She is completely the opposite of Donald Trump."

Molnar said Melania went to the nightclub that evening mainly out of loyalty to Zampolli and her agency. And there, she met Trump, who was out on the town with a date after splitting from his second wife, Marla Maples.

Molnar remembered watching Trump fall for her friend. "She is incredible," she recalled him saying. "I want this woman."

Melania refused to give him her phone number, but Trump was persistent and left his. Days later, she dialed it.

Once Melania was with Trump, she became a hot commodity — especially since Trump was fond of bragging about their sex life.

Radio shock jock Howard Stern interviewed the couple by phone in 1999, and, true to his provocative form, he asked Melania what she was wearing. "Not much," Melania said coyly.

But her celebrity sex-appeal was cemented by her appearance on the January 2000 cover of British GQ.

The icy, blue-green eyes. Plump, pouty lips. Lying seductively on a fluffy fur on Trump's private jet. Wearing a sparkly necklace and not a stitch of clothing. "Sex at 30,000 feet. Melania Knauss earns her air miles," said the magazine's headline.

•••

The day that Trump announced his candidacy in June, Melania was by his side as he descended the Trump Tower escalator to speak to the cheering crowd below.

She was at his side two months later, too, at the first Republican debate in Cleveland. But it is Trump's daughter Ivanka who has spoken out more on his behalf.

"It's a lot of responsibility for a woman to be married to a man like my husband," Melania told Parenting magazine a few years ago. "I need to be quick, smart and intelligent."

In that interview, she said her husband "breathes business," and she loves her role as hands-on mother.

"We know what our roles are and we are happy with them," she said. "I think the mistake some people make is they try to change the man they love after they get married. You cannot change a person."

Cruz' defense is that HE didn't release the nude pic.

But a former Carly campaign directer did.   And Cruz gave Carly 500k.  And Carly endorsed Cruz.

So while Cruz didn't do it himself, the distance isn't too far...

sadly, Trump is perfect for the majority of voters today.

they "LIKE" pics of potential side chicks while taking a dump.
they take photos of their breakfast and 50 selfies at a red light to get the perfect one.
they choose clickbait '10 things your penis will like' instead of actual learning.
they have their eyes down in phones for most of their lives.

Trump is the perfect clickbait president.  Feuds, drama, sex, penis size insinuations.  The average iphone zombie doesn't give a shit about nuclear triads or national debt.  I had FB friends who were making fun of Obama because the Onion said hundreds of cuban refugees rode back to DC on the wings of Air Force One.   They legit believed it.

Trump is terrible.  He is supported by a large number of voters, but still a significant minority.  The overwhelming majority of voters so far have voted for someone other than Trump.

Still, the really scary thing is, if he is the nominee, he could get elected because Hillary is equally as bad and just as dishonest.

As tensions escalate, Cruz calls Trump a 'sniveling coward'

The feud between Republican presidential contenders Donald Trump and Ted Cruz over their spouses heated up on Thursday, with Cruz calling the party front-runner "a sniveling coward" for threatening his wife on Twitter.

The U.S. senator from Texas also sharpened his attacks on Trump's conservative credentials, linking the brash billionaire to disgraced New York politicians Eliot Spitzer and Anthony Weiner.

Cruz continued bashing Trump for making Cruz's wife, Heidi, a target of social-media barbs.

"I have to say, seeing him go deeper and deeper into the gutter, it's not easy to tick me off," Cruz said at a news conference while campaigning in Dane, Wisconsin. "But you mess with my wife, you mess with my kids, it'll do it every time.

"Donald, you're a sniveling coward," Cruz said. "Leave Heidi the hell alone."

"Ted Cruz is desperate right now to stay relevant in this campaign cycle... (Trump) has a long history of working very closely with women and has a great relationship with them," Corey Lewandowski, Trump's campaign manager, said in a statement to CNBC on Thursday.

Cruz's remarks were the latest burst of hostility between the two camps, which earlier this week erupted into full view when Trump accused Cruz of posting a nude photo of Melania Trump on Twitter. Trump responded by threatening to "spill the beans" on Cruz's wife, Heidi.

Cruz denied having anything to do with the image, which was part of an attack by an anti-Trump Super PAC, Make America Awesome.

"Donald, real men don't attack women. Your wife is lovely, and Heidi is the love of my life," Cruz said in a post on Twitter earlier on Thursday.

Cruz's tweet followed one moments earlier by Trump in which he retweeted an image featuring a less-than-flattering picture of Heidi Cruz juxtaposed with a glamorous photo of Melania.

The back-and-forth was too much for U.S. Sen Lindsey Graham, a former presidential candidate, who blasted both men in an interview on NBC's "Today" show on Thursday.

"Talk about things that people really care about, and knock this crap off because these are serious times, and you're not behaving like you want to be president of the United States," he said.

For Trump, attacking another candidate's wife may carry some political risk.

Half of U.S. women say they have a "very unfavorable" view of the billionaire businessman, according to Reuters/Ipsos polling in March.

Cruz fared better, with 24 percent of the 5,000 women surveyed saying they had a "very unfavorable" view of him.

The Democratic front-runner, Hillary Clinton, did worse than Cruz but better than Trump, with 36 percent of women polled saying they had a "very unfavorable" view of her. The poll had a credibility interval of 2 percentage points.

Also on Thursday, Cruz began to press Trump on his history of supporting Democratic politicians in New York, which holds its Republican primary on April 19. And while Manhattan is home to Trump's business empire, Cruz spent time there this week campaigning.

In media releases and social-media postings, Cruz highlighted Trump's history of donating not only to Spitzer, New York's former governor who resigned amid a prostitution scandal, and Weiner, the former U.S. congressman who quit after tweeting lewd images of himself, but also to other New York liberals such as U.S. Representative Charles Rangel, Senator Chuck Schumer, and New York's current governor, Andrew Cuomo.

The Trump campaign did not respond to a request for comment, but Trump posted an Instagram video that showed former Republican presidential candidates Carly Fiorina and Graham expressing doubts about Cruz earlier in the campaign. Both have since endorsed Cruz, saying he is in the best position to halt Trump's march toward the nomination.

Both Trump and Cruz are trying to garner enough delegates to win the Republican nomination ahead of the party's convention this summer. After Tuesday's contests in Arizona and Utah, Trump had 739 of the 1,237 delegates needed to win the nomination, according to The Associated Press. Cruz had 465.

Polls show Trump leading in New York ahead of its primary. And there were also indications on Thursday of Trump's strength in California, where many observers believe he could clinch the nomination by winning its primary on June 7.

A new survey by the Public Policy Institute of California found that among likely Republican primary voters, Trump led with 38 percent to 27 percent for Cruz and 14 percent for Ohio Governor John Kasich.

The next Republican contests will be on April 5 in Wisconsin and on April 9 in Wyoming.

Remember, the super pac that Ted supposedly has nothing to do with started this wife shit. What Ted really has to worry about is all the political and bankster baggage his wife has. My bet is that comes in Trump's next responses.

according to the right wing conspiracy sites, it's about a cruz affair.  I really hope that's not the case.  that crazy angry trump spokesman lady with the bullet necklace (Katrina?) - she used to be Cruz' right hand woman he ran for senate.  IF there's something shady... she'd know it.  And the RW sites say she's the one he was banging!

i hope it isn't true... i am seeing it daily now, from the pro-trump, right-wing nutjobs on FB, and it's about escorts and an affair with a staffer.

IF this is true, then I bet (now that cruz has insulted him) it'll be coming out from Trump soon.. Didn't trump post a pic of Katrina with a wink last week?  Trump WILL be leaking that shit soon, bet on it.

George Will: Vulgarity Won’t Hurt Trump’s Campaign, It’s What His Campaign Is Based On
by PAM KEY
24 Mar 2016

Thursday on Fox News Channel’s “Special Report,” Washington Post columnist George Will criticized Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump for attacking Heidi Cruz, the wife of his opponent Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX).

Will said, “The wrong question is will his coarseness and vulgarity hurt his candidacy? His coarseness and his vulgarity are his candidacy. This is considered politically brave somehow to do this. This this is a classic distillation of this year’s campaign —first all about Donald Trump and one of his former wives. Second it starts out with him getting the facts entirely wrong as A.B. [Stoddard] says. And then most surreal of all it’s Trump saying this lowered the decorum of the campaign this year. Trump is the keeper of the decorum, you are in trouble. You tried to be delicate a moment ago you said what he did was inappropriate. Using the fish fork with the entree is inappropriate, wearing white after labor day is inappropriate. This is just nasty. We ought to call it that.”

Donald Trump can’t stop saying nasty things about women. It could cost him.
By Jose A. DelReal and Jenna Johnson
March 24, 2016

A nasty feud that escalated Thursday between Donald Trump and his chief Republican rival over their wives set off a new wave of alarm among establishment Republicans, who fear that the GOP front-runner would drive away female voters in a general-election fight with likely Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

Trump’s gender problem flared again this week as he and Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas traded insults while Cruz’s wife, Heidi, became the target of vitriol on social media from Trump and his supporters. At one point, the real estate mogul retweeted an unflattering image contrasting Heidi Cruz’s appearance with his wife, Melania, a retired model.

“The images are worth a thousand words,” read the caption on the photo that Trump retweeted to his 7.2 million followers.

That message and others have prompted an outcry among Republicans and Democrats alike, while Cruz said Thursday that “real men don’t bully women.”

“Our spouses and our children are off-bounds,” Cruz told reporters while campaigning in Dane, Wis. “It is not acceptable for a big, loud New York bully to attack my wife. It is not acceptable for him to make insults, to send nasty tweets.”

A screen grab of a tweet showing Heidi Cruz, left, and Melania Trump, right, that was retweeted by Donald Trump on Wednesday.
He added: “Donald, you’re a sniveling coward. Leave Heidi the hell alone.”

The altercation underscores the striking nastiness of the GOP primary race and the uncomfortable gender politics surrounding Trump, who has a long history of making incendiary remarks about women and their appearance. Trump has shown little reluctance in attacking his female rivals — or some of his rivals’ spouses — in ways that strike many as sexist or demeaning, and many fear that the insults are a harbinger of the gutter rhetoric to come if he faces Clinton in November.

Trump has called Clinton “very shrill,” belittles her for a lack of stamina and energy, and late last year jabbed her and husband, Bill Clinton, for the latter’s marital indiscretions while he was president. In another instance, Trump said Hillary Clinton “got schlonged” in her 2008 primary fight against then-Sen. Barack Obama.

“I have some very real concerns should he become the nominee. I think it would be catastrophic for our party,” said GOP strategist Katie Packer, who leads the Our Principles PAC, an anti-Trump super PAC. “Half of the reason why I’m fighting so hard to stop Donald Trump is because I think he’s a walking, talking stereotype of a sexist misogynistic pig.”

Polling shows Trump sliding among women in recent months, hurting the GOP’s already shaky position with that demographic. Trump’s favorability numbers have decreased 10 points among women nationwide since November, to 23 percent, while his unfavorable number among women has jumped to 75 percent from 64 percent, according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll taken this month.

The changes among men have been less pronounced, with 37 percent now favorable and 59 percent unfavorable. In the states that have voted so far, Trump received an average of 41 percent of the male vote and 34 percent of the female vote.

The fight with Cruz began earlier this week when Make America Awesome, an anti-Trump super PAC, circulated ads on Facebook featuring a risque photograph of Melania Trump from a 15-year-old British GQ photo shoot. It was part of a concerted push to diminish the billionaire among values voters in Utah.

“Meet Melania Trump. Your next first lady. Or, you could support Ted Cruz on Tuesday,” the ad read.

Trump, who went on to lose the Utah caucuses, excoriated Cruz and issued a threat via Twitter: “Be careful, Lyin’ Ted, or I will spill the beans on your wife!”

Trump — who wrongly alleges that Cruz was behind the ad — defended the tweet Wednesday on Fox Business Network, saying it was a “disgraceful” and “terrible thing” that demeaned his wife, “a very, very successful model.”

Then came Wednesday night, when Trump retweeted the unflattering image of Heidi Cruz, setting off a fresh series of condemnations.

To Trump’s critics, the attacks on Cruz are just the latest in a troubling pattern of reducing women to their physical appearance and disparaging them in exceptionally personal ways.

Exhibit A is the long-running on-again, off-again feud with Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly, whom Trump called “crazy” and “average in so many ways” in a series of tweets last week. Fox News said the name-calling is part of a “sick obsession” that “is beneath the dignity of a presidential candidate.”

Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.), a former presidential candidate and an outspoken critic of Trump, said Thursday on MSNBC, “I’m worried that young women think that the standard-bearer of the Republican Party believes that Megyn Kelly is a bimbo.”

GOP strategists fear that Trump clinching the nomination could present an opportunity for Democrats, who are poised to choose the first female presidential nominee and who in past elections have accused Republicans of waging a “war on women” over access to affordable women’s health care, abortion rights and pay equity.

Trump’s treatment and views of women have been a central issue throughout his presidential campaign. At the first GOP debate, in August, Trump berated Kelly for asking him about past insults of women and singled out actress Rosie O’Donnell as the specific woman he referred to as a “fat pig.” A month later, Trump criticized the appearance of rival Carly Fiorina, the only woman who sought the GOP nomination. “Look at that face,” he told Rolling Stone magazine. “Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?”

Marcy Stech, communications director at Emily’s List, which has endorsed Clinton, said “the Republican base might find this amusing, but the reality is that these are just the kinds of misogynistic and outrageous comments that will cause lasting damage with women voters.”

She added: “We’ll have plenty of opportunities to remind women voters of this moment even after today’s news cycle has blown over.”

Packer said Trump’s standing with female voters could also endanger the GOP’s hold on the Senate or even the House. At the same time, Packer said, she thinks the anti-Trump movement could prevent the party from being branded by Trump alone.

“Hillary Clinton is very, very vulnerable among this group of women that she needs to have as her base: independent women, and soft Republican women. She’s very vulnerable with them today,” Packer said. “Should we nominate Donald Trump, they will flock to her because they see him as someone who’s repulsive. And it’s not just about so-called ‘women’s issues,’ it’s about how he values women and about how he’s willing to make women feel to benefit himself.”

For months Trump has defended himself against accusations of being offensive to women, saying that he hits all his challengers equally. He labeled former Florida governor Jeb Bush “low energy” and sought to diminish Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida with the nickname “Little Marco.”

“I’d hit you the same way,” Trump told NBC’s Chuck Todd in February when pressed on the issue. “I mean, you are the perfect one to ask that question — you have been, you know, under fire from me for a long time, and you are far from a woman.”

“I think there are some women — there’s one sitting right over there in the beautiful red dress. You see that woman over there? I have great respect for that woman over there,” he said, as Todd clarified to viewers that Trump was talking about veteran reporter Andrea Mitchell.

“I have great respect for that woman,” he said. “And I don’t know that she knows I’m talking about her. I’m talking about you. I would never do that to you.”

Trump Spokeswoman: 'Quite Simple to Spill the Beans on Heidi Cruz'
By Sandy Fitzgerald   |   Friday, 25 Mar 2016

It's "quite simple to spill the beans on Heidi Cruz," as "her entire career has been spent working against everything Ted Cruz says that he stands for," Katrina Pierson, Donald Trump's campaign spokesperson, said Friday.

"She's a Bush operative," Pierson told MSNBC Friday morning. "She worked for the architect of NAFTA, which has killed millions of jobs in this country. She was a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, who Cruz's own words called a nest of snakes.

"And, she's been working for Goldman Sachs, the same global bank Ted Cruz left off of his financial disclosure and also has chairman on the board of the Federal Reserve, which is something Sen. Cruz promised to audit, and didn't show up for the vote."

Trump had threatened to expose Cruz's wife, without stating specifics, after an anti-Trump super PAC posted a nude photograph of his wife, Meliana, from 16 years ago, when she posed for British GQ magazine.

Thursday, the feud between the two GOP presidential candidates heated up even further, when Cruz called Trump a "sniveling coward" and warned him to "leave Heidi the hell alone."

Pierson, though, on Friday defended Trump, saying that it was his wife that came under attack first, but then after Trump stood up for her, "all of a sudden, there's this faux attack on Heidi Cruz."

"It may not have been directly from the Cruz campaign, but this super PAC was operating on behalf of Ted Cruz, Pierson said of the initial advertising, which was aimed at Utah voters.  From the beginning, since Mr. Trump entered the race, he disavowed all super PACs."

She said she does not believe the controversy, meanwhile, will hurt Trump among women voters.

"We have been hearing this for a very long time," she said. "He has been winning women and he's going to continue winning women because women care more about the education of their children, their safety and security and their jobs in this country."

Mathews has been critical of the Manhattan billionaire's stances on women’s issues. | AP Photo

MSNBC host Chris Matthews was caught gushing over Melania Trump’s physical appearance while still wearing his microphone.

“Did you see her walk? Runway walk. My God is that good,” Matthews said of Donald Trump’s wife during the network's live coverage of Indiana’s primary on Tuesday night.

“I could watch that runway show,” he added, seemingly unaware that he was being recorded.

Following the “Hardball” host’s comments, co-anchor Brian Williams quickly moved to a commercial.

Mathews has been critical of the Manhattan billionaire's stances on women’s issues, including his remark — which was swiftly retracted — that women who have abortions should be punished.

Matthews' comments were first noted by Variety, which obtained the following statement from Mrs. Trump: “Melania Trump is an accomplished businesswoman and entrepreneur in her own right, achieving tremendous success in a variety of industries, including an illustrious modeling career, as well as being a dedicated wife and mother. It is unfortunate to see the continuous inaccuracies and misrepresentations made by the media of Mrs. Trump as anything less than the independently successful woman that she is.”

Melania Trump’s Claims She Graduated From College Are About As Credible As Her Speech Last Night
“She became ― and remained ― a college dropout.”
07/19/2016
Christina Wilkie
National Political Reporter, The Huffington Post

Melania Trump’s professional biography says the wife of presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump began modeling at age 16, but she only began working full-time after obtaining a degree. She graduated “in design and architecture at University in Slovenia,” according to the bio as of Monday night:

It’s a good story, but it doesn’t appear to be true.

Melania Trump never earned a university degree in architecture ― she dropped out of college after her freshman year, according to her biographers.  Still, she claims to have a degree from “university in Slovenia.”

Questions about her education grew more significant Tuesday morning, following the revelation that Melania Trump plagiarized parts of her speech to the Republican National Convention from one that First Lady Michelle Obama gave in 2008.

That revelation on Monday raised the question of whether there was anything else Melania Trump hadn’t been entirely truthful about.

Slovenian journalists Bojan Pozar and Igor Omerza wrote in their biography on the former fashion model that she “became ― and remained ― a college dropout” after leaving the University of Ljubljana’s architecture school following her freshman year.

Below is their account of this period of her life in the book, Melania Trump ― The Inside Story: From a Slovenian Communist Village to the White House:

In her freshman year, the 19-year old Melanija Knavs attended lectures on the following subjects: elements of architecture, fine arts, fundamentals of technical mechanics, architectural construction, descriptive geometry, mathematics, and an ideological (read “communist”) elective credit called “General Partisan Resistance and Social Self-protection”. Melanija would have made it to her sophomore year, even having failed 2 exams, but she was supposed to have gotten and held a 1-month internship and kept a journal about it.

******

Later, in America, after meeting Donald Trump and officially becoming his partner, Melania Knauss told the media that she got her degree in architecture and design. This was almost certainly done in consultation with Trump and his advisors, as they were desperate to give off the impression that the Slovenian model was not just beautiful, but also smart and well-educated.

A spokeswoman for the Trump campaign declined to comment early Tuesday on Melania Trump’s claim that she has a university degree.

A writer in GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump's organization admitted Wednesday she made a "mistake" in using Michelle Obama's words in the speech she prepared for Melania Trump to deliver at the Republican National Convention

Meredith McIver, a Trump Organization "in-house staff writer at the Trump Organization," said in a statement that she was responsible for including passages from a speech Obama delivered at the 2008 Democratic National Convention.

The accusations of plagiarism sparked by the speech dominated much coverage of the RNC for days.

McKiver said Melania Trump read her some of Obama's lines over the phone as inspiration during the writing process.

"I wrote them down and later included some of the phrasing in the draft that ultimately became the final speech," McIver wrote, The Miami Herald reports.

"I did not check Mrs. Obama's speeches. This was my mistake, and I feel terrible for the chaos I have caused Melania and the Trumps, as well as to Mrs. Obama. No harm was meant."

McIver said she offered her resignation Tuesday, but Trump rejected it.

The Trump campaign had denied accusations of plagiarism, saying the similarities were coincidence.

The Associated Press and Reuters contributed to this report.

hannity denied any plagiarism yesterday.   Today it was 'inadvertent' and 'accidental'.

They diffuse the story now.  Waiting almost 44 hours to release this info?   Maybe they were making it up.  It happens to be a woman, family friend, comes out of nowhere and takes all the blame for it?

Weird that an english major with major writing experience botches a 250 word speech in such a manner?   After studying past speeches, she doesn't recognize some amazing wording that matches word for word?

I don't find it believable.  I doubt most would.

Melania Trump’s Website, Biography Have Disappeared From The Internet

Source: Huffington Post

The professional website of Melania Trump, wife of the Republican presidential nominee, has apparently been deleted from the internet as of Wednesday afternoon.

The disappearance of Trump’s elaborate website comes just days after news outlets, including The Huffington Post, raised serious questions about whether she actually earned an undergraduate degree in architecture from the University of Ljubljana, which is in Trump’s native Slovenia. Her online biography claimed she had, but a book about her life published earlier this year says she left the university after one year so she could pursue a modeling career.

Embellishing Trump’s educational achievements in her online biography “was almost certainly done in consultation with Trump and his advisors, as they were desperate to give off the impression that the Slovenian model was not just beautiful, but also smart and well-educated,” according to Melania Trump: The Inside Story, an unauthorized biography of the potential first lady.

Questions about Trump’s educational background gained a new sense of urgency last week, after she delivered a keynote at the Republican National Convention that had been plagiarized from a speech current first lady Michelle Obama gave at the Democratic National Convention in 2008.

The NY post endorsed Trump - yet they run these right as he's stepping in shit with veterans and firefighters and Russia?

he hasn't tweeted about it - a VERY odd sign, since he usually reacts and threatens/taunts anyone who fcks with him.   This was a TOTAL dick move by the newspaper...  trump ain't even mad?

The other thinking is "better now than 3 days before the election..."

Honestly, dems would RATHER talk about trump fighting with a dead vet's family, or his allegiance to Russia (and possible debts to them) and him shitting on firefighters.

lots of questions about her working as a model illegally in 1995.

she wasn't able to work legally with her particular visa until she got it, in 1996.
But she worked as a model in this new photoshoot we saw this week - in 1995.

trump supporters will just shrug it off - obviously we all appreciate her quality work.  But if she did work illegally in the USA - by her own statements, that is how it looks - it kinda undermines the law & order immigration stance of trump.

She says she followed all the laws, but will not explain the contradiction.
