Akim has the shape, and already has the size. He just needs the conditioning and the detail in his back. If I remember, his back detail needed improvement.

Agree he has all the potential in the world, but he needs to nail his conditioning. Easier said than done. Imagine him and Ramy sliced and diced on stage together. Probably will never happen.

What's with this new crop of bodybuilders trying to weigh 300 pounds plus? I mean, why stop at the 300 pound mark? May as well go for 400.  :D :D :D

Unfortunately, he does not look that good on stage. Another bodybuilder who is hyped up for having freaky size, only to go nowhere in the bbing world.

He had two 3rd placings in 15.  Needs to do a better job dialing it in and it's tough with thick skin.

Yep, he has that Vic Richards, Beyeke, John Sherman, Orville Burke type of look ("thick skin"). That's one of the reasons why I said that he has the size, it is just that he needs to get into condition. It seems that getting too big, just maybe a detriment to actually getting shredded for someone that already has a hard time as it is, seemingly due to genetics.

I spoke to him on another forum, he didnt like being told he was 100lbs overweight.
Guy was going out with his family and eating mince and rice from a container moaning he couldnt have a burger with his kids.

FFS I could eatburgers 3 times a day and not get as fat as him.

I'd not come across him before, so thanks for the link.  I have to say though, if I'd had a room full of stuff like he did when I was in my 20's, I shudder to think of how far I'd have taken it, thinking I knew best (based on nothing more than a Bill Phillips book and a pamphlet from Mick Hart ordered from the back of Bodypower FFS!)

Nowadays of course - me too, and I've learned from your various posts that you are a measured sort of person, but do you think you might have been tempted to over indulge at any point in your life (if the means were there?)  Obviously I'm trying to justify my personal weakness here  :)

I could have, the means was there, I could have taken unlimited amounts, gear didnt really cost me anything back in the 90s.

Very few bodybuilders grasped the simple concept of
Quality over quantity
The few who got it was
Shann
Zane
Kevin Levrone
Cormier

Near enough everyone else fell for the size game

For eg Coleman looked best 99 98

Had no need to get bigger

He seems to have an odd imbalance. His arms seem too big compared to his legs, or this could be the camera angle. With somewhat high-ish lats, he reminds one of an Orville Burke with big arms and chest.
