Title: '94 Masters Olympia
Post by: Nether Animal on March 28, 2016, 09:29:42 PM
Everyone talks about the top three in this show, and the huge hissy fit that Lou threw  after Robby beat him, but Dickerson and Padilla were in this show too. Dickerson looks surprisingly good. I can't find much footage/pics from this show. It's surprisingly obscure given the exposure it got at the time.

As much as people slam the hardcore music like a weightlifter is going to battle... this music is definitely worse.

BTW people trash Franco for having the worst legs in the top 6 at the 81' Mr.O and winning it.

But same thing happened with Robby Robinson winning the Master 94' and everyone seems fine with it

Wooshhhhhhhhh

I think Franco's gyno was terrible and he should've been marked down. His legs weren't too bad considering his injury.

Boyer's lack of quad sweep was just as bad.

Robby kills Lou on proportion though, and Robby was still in great shape in '94. It's a toss up I guess, but I'd still give it to Robby.

That's an insane picture of Robbie, even more so when you consider he was 47 years old.

We agree.  Robbie is killing them both, but Boyer's arms are pretty damn amazing too! :o

I remember a rumor stating that the Masters Olympia was created partially for Lou. Meaning that you had the older bodybuilders, but Lou was the favorite. Remember he made a comeback at the 93 Olympia and did his famous pose own with Flávio. I don't know how true that was

Both Robby and Boyer had sick peaks on their biceps. Robby was actually up to 230 or 235 pounds during his Masters showings. He only competed at 206 or 208 in the 70's and 80's. Lou was decent at 298 for the Masters, but was INSANE looking during his 1993 training when he weighed 335.

hey parker that rumor is true, one of my friends around this time was a competitor, and knew a few people in the business he told me the same thing, that joe weider created the master olympia for lou to win.   at this time lou was easily the most famous person in bodybuilding competing.
