Will Trump hold a press conference, denouncing the actions and lies of his staffer, saying lying will not be tolerated in this administration, integrity matters and issue an apology to the reporter to offset his image as a womanizer who degrades women or... will he dismiss the video, pretending it doesn't exist and say he stands behind his campaign manager and the press is out to get him....
I'm going with the latter.
-
Trump has already said the guy didn't do it. He could show some character by firing the guy and condemning his conduct.

How come 240 didn't lose his mind with 4 million threads and posts on this

I saw the video. Didn't look like much. Just trying to bring down Trump with bullcrap.
Fuck Trump though.

And there does Trump threatening people again. Is he not the biggest cry baby on the national scene right now?
Trump Threatens to Press Charges Against Reporter in Campaign Manager Flap

By Todd Beamon | Tuesday, 29 Mar 2016
Donald Trump on Tuesday threatened to press charges against a former Breitbart News reporter after his campaign manager was charged with "intentionally" touching her at a rally earlier this month.
Here's what the Republican presidential front-runner said on Twitter regarding the reporter, Michelle Fields:
Fields, 28, accused Trump's campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, 42, with grabbing her arm during a news conference on March 8 in Jupiter, Fla., causing bruises.
Lewandowski was charged with simple battery for "intentionally" touching Fields, the Jupiter Police Department said Tuesday. He turned himself into police and was given a May 4 court date on the misdemeanor charge.
Authorities released video appearing to show Lewandowski reaching toward Fields and holding her back as Trump passed by after the news conference at the Trump National Golf Club.
He had won primaries in Michigan and Mississippi that night.
Trump posted another tweet quoting Fields' initial statement to police:
The developer also defended Lewandowski, saying that he was a "very decent man" and that the video showed "nothing there."
His campaign said in a statement that Lewandowski was issued a formal notice to appear and given a court date but wasn't arrested.
"Mr. Lewandowski is absolutely innocent of this charge," said spokeswoman Hope Hicks. "He will enter a plea of not guilty and looks forward to his day in court.
"He is completely confident that he will be exonerated," she said.

The reporter touched Trump first and was carrying an unidentifiable object in her hand.
-
And there does Trump threatening people again.
Just want to point out that threatening a lawsuit isn't the same thing as threatening someones life or threatening them with physical harm.

I agree. It's possible or even likely. I'd like to see if it's true.
This "crime" is pretty weak. Reeks of political games. Gotta love that equal protection under the law.

Piers Morgan: Male Reporter Would Be ‘Laughing Stock’ if He Said Lewandowski Assaulted Him
(http://media.breitbart.com/media/2016/03/AP_342286494367-640x480.jpg)
British TV host and columnist Piers Morgan weighed in on the news of criminal charges against Corey Lewandowski, campaign manager to Donald Trump, by mocking Michelle Fields for pressing assault charges.
On Tuesday afternoon, Morgan took to Twitter, calling the criminal complaint “utterly pathetic” and telling Fields to “toughen up.”
Morgan reiterated his point by comparing Fields’ complaint to veteran women in broadcast news, such as Diane Sawyer and Barbara Walters.
Morgan later wrote a full column on the subject for the Daily Mail. He says he has “watched the video multiple times and cannot conceive any sensible interpretation that he is committing any kind of deliberate assault.” He then claims that if Fields were a man, the press would laugh at rather than rally behind the criminal charges.
[J]ournalism’s a rough old game. You dish it out, you have to take it.
But this debate boils down to this: if a male reporter cried ‘battery’ after such a trivial incident, he’d be an absolute laughing stock.
Why should a female reporter be taken any more seriously?
By making such a grotesque mountain of such a tiny molehill, Michelle Fields has embarrassed herself and let down her profession.
Toughen up, young lady – or choose a different job.

Trump gets away with stuff nobody else ever could.
He's the guy trying to get fired
-
Just want to point out that threatening a lawsuit isn't the same thing as threatening someones life or threatening them with physical harm.
Yes, although Trump has threatened to use violence. I didn't realize how big of a sissy that man is.
-
Alot of respect for Trump for standing by his man even though it might not be the best thing to do politically speaking. The vast, vast majority of other candidates would not do the same.
The way the media is trying to railroad this Corey Lewandowski guy is a damn shame.

Another interesting, if true, quote from Piers Morgan's article:
Crucially, DailyMail.com has now established from a member of Trump’s Secret Service detail that in the process, she touched Trump twice and was warned by agents to stop.

Watched portions of Trump's town hall and an interview about this. Attacking the woman. Calling her a liar. Engaging in the same irresponsible behavior we've seen from President Obama who has repeatedly commented on ongoing investigations.
Watching Trump is surreal. It's like a real life Saturday Night Live skit.
-
Thread title is an obvious lie. Video shows nothing and proves that Fields fabricated it all. She should be sent to forced labor in a whore house for lying.

She is a liar. Video proves it. Not sure why you are grasping at straws??? That all? That the best you can do? This is a non-story. Only now it is a story, making Trump look like the victim. You should join his campaign since you're so eager to help him.

What video? The one showing the guy grabbing her arm?
Or are you referring to the contemporaneous audio, which proves the guy grabbed her arm?
Exclusive: Transcript of female Breitbart reporter allegedly being roughed up by Trump campaign manager
By Hadas Gold
Updated 03/14/16
Donald Trump's spokesperson flatly denied on Thursday that campaign manager Corey Lewandowski roughed up a reporter for the conservative website Breitbart, and suggested she was fabricating the incident in a desperate bid for attention.
A roughly two and a half minute audio recording of the incident obtained by POLITICO — while not definitive — supports the reporter's version of the events, which were witnessed by Washington Post reporter Ben Terris.
A transcript of the alleged altercation between the reporter, Michelle Fields, and Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, follows below, along with her conversation with Terris:
***
Din of people talking, clanking of glasses, snippets of conversation, reporters telling one another to 'move up a little', greeting each other, saying 'good to see you' saying 'OK good quote then', then clearly action picks up as cameras start clicking.
Fields: “Mr. Trump, you went after the late Scalia for affirmative action, do you -- are you still against affirmative action?"
Voice (allegedly Corey Lewandowski): “Excuse me, thank you.”
A few moments later (noise of the room can be heard)...
Terris: “You OK?"
Fields: “Holy sh*t."
Terris: “Yea he just threw you."
Fields: “I can’t believe he just did that that was so hard. Was that Corey?"
Terris: “Yeah, like, what threat were you?"
Fields: "That was insane. You should have felt how hard he grabbed me. That's insane. I’ve never had anyone do that to me from a campaign."
Terris: “Can I put that in my story?"
Fields: “Yeah, go for it — that was really awful. That’s so unprofessional.”
Terris: “He really just almost threw you on the ground."
Fields: “He literally went like this and was grabbing me down. "I don’t even want to do what he just did to me. Oh my God, that really spooked me that someone would do that."
Terris: “What threat were you?"
Fields: “Nothing. I was asking about affirmative action."
Terris: “And he probably knows you, right?"
Fields: “Yeah, I don’t understand. That looks horrible. You’re going after a Breitbart reporter, the people who are nicest to you?"
Terris: “I know, I’m going to put it in my story."
The two stop talking. Din/noise of people talking, glasses clinking continue through end of the recording.
This post has been updated to include the audio and to clean up the transcript.

Strong stuff indeed. Making Anderson Pooper look like the dishonest twat that he is.

i think she faked injuries and over-dramatized the hands on her to be a victim.
I think he was justified in touching her because she did rush at trump in a threatening manner... dude used to be a cop in NH, and he was watching her hands all the way.
BUT
He did the typical piece of shit move... Lied about it "I didn't even touch her" instead of saying yes he did touch her, and it was justified.
Video shows he DID touch her. So he lied. There is proof he lied, and no proof that she lied... so he gets charged.
if he'd just been honest from the get-go and said "She made a lunge, I slowed her to make sure she wasn't going to hurt him... it's florida and I feared for a forcible felony... Once I saw hands were clear, I released her.
Just don't lie like a piece of crap, you don't get arrested here. Typical.
-
Agree with all above but we live in an over-litigated society that punishes truth as guilt in something small like this. ANY lawyer would say he did the right thing to deny. Only Trump would stand up for the guy. Anybody else would've dumped him the day the story broke.
Hearing Trump stick up for the guy is such a rare thing it's almost shocking to hear.
-
Trump says a lot of dumb shit but on the serious issues I think he's right where the average American is. Common sense, rational.
Too bad half the country will never know that because of the press and the know-nothing protesters.
-
Alot of respect for Trump for standing by his man even though it might not be the best thing to do politically speaking. The vast, vast majority of other candidates would not do the same.
The way the media is trying to railroad this Corey Lewandowski guy is a damn shame.
What this says to me is "So what his campaign manager lied and then disparaged her by calling her delusional even though he did what she and the witness said he did. Lying is perfectly okay and Trump not holding him accountable indicates he won't hold anyone in his administration accountable so if another gun running thing like Eric Holder was involved in occurs, I fully expect him to make excuses and not fire him as well and you know, I'm perfectly okay with that"
Your thoughts?
-
To me, it's not about the fact he grabbed her. It's about the fact he lied about it and attempted to paint her as delusional and the liar. That Trump supporters can't get this helps explain why they support him :)
-

Yes, I'm sure she's the only one he's had to put his hands on and move out of the way. ::)
Maybe he should stop and get the personal info and a picture of every person he comes into contact with at every convention. ::)

Wow, some jostling at an important press conference, imagine that.
-

then....... I would expect to hear;
"I don't know if I touched or grabbed her or not. There was a lot of people too close and I did move some back""
"I could have possibly done it, I know I grabbed someone"
but I wouldn't expect "No, never touched her, she's delusional." See the difference? One is a lie, one is not
-
She came at trump, I put hands out to make sure he was safe. That's fine.
"This delusional liar, I never touched her" is not.
-
After NBA Finals games, I've seen reporters physically grab players or their jerseys and pull them to make sure that they are the one that gets the post-game interview.
That is just one small example but I think that any reporter should expect some grabbing, pushing and jostling in a crowd when trying to get questions answered.
They do it, and it is done to them....all the fucking time. Go sue yourself you stupid bitch. Either that or get a desk job where you won't be touched.

Point is, the former COP that works for trump LIED to the public and ACCUSED her of making up being touched.
He's a POS liar... and he's likely going to be Trump's chief of staff. more reasons not to elect his liberal ass.

hilary belongs in a jail cell.
But this POS cannot accuse someone of lying and put his hands on a woman - and lie about it - because hilary did something worse.
imagine Jeffrey Dahmer telling the judge "Bro, you gotta let me go... I killed like 20 people... I mean, Stalin killed MILLIONS... these 20 kills are the LEAST important ones"
His crime and lies stand on their own, they're judged on their own. He's everything wrong with police and politics. Just lie until caught.

You are overreacting and spending time talking about nothing. This is just a day in the life of any Presidential reporter. Nothing to see, a joke.
Even if your explanation of what happened is 100% accurate, this "scandal" is nothing.....less than nothing....fake.

I said she's being a whiny idiot drama queen.
And I think if he says he did touch her because she was making a threatening move (in florida) at Trump, I don't think he's charged. But he outright lied, and he accused the accuser of lying and being delusional. That's dangerous - people with a big platform calling accusers crazy in public...
He's not credible, so he's getting charged. I think prosecutor is only doing it because he lied about it, make their job harder. It happened in FL, he would have walked. but he was cocky and rude and stupid and that rubs people wrong who make the decision to prosecute.
Also, fck that guy... he's an ex-cop who shoves women when he doens't like where they stand. SCrew that punk ass guy, that's what I think. Aren't we all tired of things, in the united states, where an ex-cop will shove a woman, and call her crazy and say she made it up? Screw that guy, he's a POS for it.
I'm guessing most people defending him also see a police beatdown tape and say "well, you don't know all the circumstances..."

It works like this.. Trump has applied for President of the United States. We have experienced politicians cover up for their administrations in the past, and we said we didn't like it. We said we want our government officials to be held accountable when they are caught doing something wrong. Enter the incident where an employee of Trump, a high level employee is caught doing something wrong. Lying about putting his hands on someone and then trying to discredit that person as delusional. Here is a perfect time for Trump to demonstrate he wont be like the others and cover up for his friends or he will be just like the rest. He chose to be just like the rest. Trump supporters, by saying this is no big deal, have let us know they consider Trump ignoring when a person under his supervision/control is found to be unethical, they're okay with it if he takes no action. That pretty much sums up the issue. If lying and falsely disparaging someone in order to cover up the lie is fine then you are right.. nothing to see here.

Sweet jeezus.
Seriously, this is nothing. A daily occurrence for journalists. They push and grab, they get pushed and grabbed. The dude has a responsibility to protect Trump and get him out of there away from the mob. He did nothing wrong. To accuse him of a crime, even a misdemeanor, is absurd and to expect him to admit to it is even more insane.
In a situation like this where some stupid girl is trying to make her name and possibly get a paycheck behind some bullshit, I would admit to nothing. You think I did something wrong? Prove it or fuck off. What world do you guys live in? This is less than nothing. I'm concerned about politicians and people in power lying and covering up real scandals, real crimes, things that impact out nation. It would be foolish for anyone to admit to touching this bitch.
We have real problems to deal with. Serious, life and death shit. The stakes are extremely high. Lets talk about Trumps vague baloney answers. Lets figure out how a guy who is basically the Republican Obama is going to be nominated when he doesn't know shit. As much as I like his frank manner of speaking, he says so much stupid shit that you can't keep track of it all. Lets talk about that. Real things. Significant things. Lets get serious about shit.
Save this petty bullshit for the dykes at NPR and MSNBC to cluck about.

trump brags about paying off both parties for decades so that he could enjoy preferable treatment.
he's just as big a bad part of the system as the politicians are. his supporters are blind to it, they literally defend everything he does.

Which begs the question...which would you rather have - an admission of wrongdoing or a continuation of denial of the obvious by all other candidates?
Also, remember that Trump stayed in the private sector instead of potentially selling favors and secrets to China, etc... Call it private sector vs private server...

I would agree if he said "I grabbed her, so friggin what? SHe was badgering Trump and he obviously wasn't in the mood. So I grabbed her to pull her away from him. "
But if you are saying its okay he lied and tried to paint her as delusional, then you can't comment on the police threads where an officer lied about a citizen, as it's really no big deal

On this weekend’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday,” while discussing Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s campaign manager Corey Lewandowski being charged with misdemeanor battery in an incident involving former Breitbart News reporter Michelle Fields at a Jupiter, FL campaign event on March 6, host Chris Wallace said he agreed with Trump’s assertion that Fields exaggerated the incident.
Partial transcript as follows:
TRUMP: Then when she wrote out, early on, before she knew she was on tape, that she was practically thrown to the ground. I wish I had it here. That didn’t happen. Okay? Do you agree with that?
WALLACE: I agree with you.
TRUMP: Excuse me. She lied. Do you agree she lied?
WALLACE: I think she completely misrepresented it early on. I do.

That is a level of stupidity that I can't fathom. Nothing I can say to something like that. Best of luck to you.

Why, because a potential PRESIDENT of the US covering for a lying campaign manager isn't a concern? That has me baffled as well.. It's not your neighbor denying he backed into your mailbox.. Integrity should matter with cops and Presidential candidates

I think they are both concerning and abhorrent. Shouldn't a front runner for President be at least as truthful as we ask our police to be?

We can hope so, yeah. But the difference is that the officer is putting someone in immediate and direct danger of having his or her life torn apart by the lies and no vote in the world will help that person.
And when you say "at least as truthful", it sounds as though you're giving room for officers to lie.

He "stands by his man". In the nascar community, it's admirable.
I mean, it's an ex-cop who lied and called the woman a delusional liar in front of the country. When video showed he clearly was not telling the truth, he just shrugs and high fives trump.
trump promised to hire only the best. He just hired rick wiley, who tanked team walker in only 7 weeks. yay.

Trump will be in charge of running the US.. pretty big responsibility from any angle you want to look at it. Intergrity, honesty, truthfulness should be required qualities
