Pellius will never admit this, but he started hating me from one single incident. I was mocking him a bit because he was buying cheap mcdonalds burgers and putting them in his freezer. Thus, I asked if he was poor. After that he melted down completely. He didn't answer my question, but instead he wrote to me: How much money do you have? Are you rich?

obviously, he is a sensitive little man, and this was just too much for him. I didn't mean to offend him so much, but he melted down and he has hated me ever since that comment.

I would love for you to walk through my gate and discipline my two German Shepards, one Rotty and a very territorial Poi Dog (an expression used in Hawaii to mean a mixed breed).

And yes, I am the superior species and they know it. And if they ever forget who is in charge then a smack on the snout reminds them real quick. Just like when one of the dogs forgets who is the Alpha dog. A growl and a snipe reminds them real quick.

Just like it's always been until the Liberals started gaining influence and now kids swear and give the finger to their parents and teachers.

In fairness to Pellius German Shepherds are big, physical dogs and a smack on the snout isn't animal abuse. I have a beautiful, white haired German Shepherd and when she stole the joint of beef off the side board two years ago I gave her a little smack with a rolled up newspaper. It wasn't hard but how else do I explain that behaviour won't be tolerated?

Yamacha is emblematic of the feminization and pussification of the modern male.  That's why wars we would win in six months 50 years ago now goes on for a decade. He reads a open hand smack on the snout as a beating.

If this pussified queer witnessed this scene in with Bruce Lee in real life he would call the police and insist he be arrested.

Sucks being old but I am sure as hell I wasn't raised in today's generation. Long gone are the days when a father would tell his son to act like a man.

No matter how you spin it, when push comes to shove, the world is still ruled by force. It's panties like him that makes us weaker and our enemies stronger.

Put this man in jail for "beating" his student.

Hey Pellius. If you wanna play the generation card:

My generation was taught and molded by your generation.

We didn't teach ourselves. We inherited the world your generation shit all over.

Your generation is the one that is currently in charge of things. Look at the world now, assclown.

Thanks!  :D

Title: Re: Dear chaos
Post by: pellius on April 06, 2016, 05:05:38 AM
Probably wasn't intentional, but this is a bit of an unfair denigration of the young men and women who volunteered to fight, and often gave their lives in modern conflicts, Pellius. Some would argue that recent wars have been dragged out due to questionable and vague foreign policy goals, negligence in handling the aftermath of regime change, and constraints put on the services regarding rules of engagement - which is down to the planning of senior officials who should have the age and experience to not make such mistakes. Every generation has it's share of quixotic youths, but i wouldn't say the failings of recent interventions fall on the shoulders of young servicemen.

You really think that I included the soldiers? Really?

Do you deny that modern men today are much softer, feminized and pussified than men in the past?

And of course wars are dragged out due to questionable policy and self-imposed rules of war. That's my point. If we fought WW2 like we fight today we would be living in a whole different world.

"Play the generation card." Jesus fucking Christ do you need to be grabbed by the collar and smacked around.

Blame whoever you want for being a soft, pampered, little pussy. It still doesn't change the fact that you are a soft, pampered, little pussy. It won't be long before phaggots like you start to include yelling at your kid (or your dog) as a form of child abuse.

Title: Re: Dear chaos
Post by: pellius on April 06, 2016, 03:35:15 PM
No, i didn't think that you intended to, but thought it was worth clarifying as the highlighted part seemed to imply a link between pussified young men and current wars being dragged out for decades, but i accept that wasn't what you meant.

Regarding modern men being softer and more "pussified" than men of the past...i don't know, to be honest. I don't have any real experience with these types in my own life, but i absolutely agree that there are many of these spoiled, idealistic, social-justice warrior types who are very vocal in their proselytising, as well as the moronic "World Star" individuals that seem to have no values or ambition. I'm just not sure if we are more aware of them simply due to the increased platform they have through social media, as opposed to it being the case that they have increased greatly in number. Every generation certainly had them, and i would also say that there is a tendency for every older generation to romanticise the past slightly, and view it with rose-tinted glasses, though i would have to spend a bit of time looking for facts and figures to give a definite answer. But I, as someone who i think would be included in the "millennial" demographic, am just as dismayed at the stuff we see on social media, as you are.

A very thoughtful post here.

Yes, there is a pattern of older generation criticizing the current generation but this, in and of itself, doesn't invalidate the criticism. Compare how young Americans were during the 1950s compared to the 1960s cultural revolutions. I see the changes in my own life. The idea of a school kid answering back, let alone beating the shit out of, their teachers was unheard of.

Ask yourself is the current generation more honest, more civil, less promiscuous, more respectful, less profane, hae better manners, than those of a previous generation.

And the privileges and wealth they have and take for granted was just beyond and not even considered in my generation. The idea that your parent would buy you a car was just beyond a realistic expectation that it wouldn't even be considered. I worked in a nutrition store and was amazed how much money parents would drop on supps for their kids.

Why this matters is that it breeds a sense of complacency and self entitlement. They become ungrateful and spoiled.

I was taught that when meeting an adult I am to stand up, look them in the eye and give a firm handshake. Always say thank you for a something done or given to them. You put on shoes, wear long pants and a decent button up shirt when you go to church and not slippers, t-shirt and board shorts that you see now.

I just watch an old news cast, I think it was in the fifties, of a reporter standing in front of a stadium and a crowd commenting on the game. The men were dressed in coat and tie and women wearing their Sunday best. And more remarkably, they stood there quietly instead of jumping in front of the camera, making signs and vying for attention. And  you could watch a game without hearing the cursing and swearing that you do now.

Even when I was a kid (I'm in my fifties) it was rare for women to swear. I don't even remember ever hearing a women or girl swear growing up. Sometimes, rarely, my  mom would but it would  be in Tagalog because she figured her kids wouldn't know the difference. In fact, we didn't know she was swearing until I once asked a janitor who was Filipino what such and such meant.

So the romanticization is not without merit. And will continue to be in he future because of the constant pushing of the envelop by the Miley Cyrus' and Kardasians of the world.

Yes, there's certainly legitimate criticism and a valid argument to be made regarding the negative changes in contemporary society, and as i write this i'm being forced to think back on the compulsory social science modules which i had to study, and realise that i may well end up having to produce a comprehensive essay in order to touch on this in any real depth. "Ain't nobody got time fo dat", so i'll keep it as concise as possible, and apologise for being all over the place as a result of this.

As we've switched from a typically industrial society into a consumerist, largely throw-away society, we are now generally define ourselves more by what we own, as opposed to what he do. Advances in technology have made many aspects of our lives much easier, so that time spent on things such as household chores for example, has been reduced. Day-to-day labour has been made simpler as most of us have the ability to delegate roles that we would have once had to fulfil ourselves, to someone or something else, so there is an increasing disconnection from the realities of things such as where our food comes from, or how are clothes are produced etc - so in that respect i would definitely agree that society as a whole has been softened and protected from hardship.  I'd say that this has tended to change our attitudes towards what we value, somewhat - and we can see this in the examples of "black friday" stampedes and the huge demand for the latest fashion items of clothing etc. It ties in with the pathetic celebrity culture we have, where meretricious whores like the Kardashians, Miley Cyrus etc are used to pimp products, and a depressingly large amount of the public worship them for it. I don't think this is an entirely new thing, though; it's merely a natural progression of something which has always existed. Young people have always had a tendency to rebel, and in doing so, will look to role models in order to shape their identity - these celebrities aren't doing anything new, they're simply riding a wave which brought us Elvis, the punk movement, Madonna etc etc...sure, it won't be long until we actually have someone like Cyrus sucking off a donkey on stage and people cheering her for it, but I would still say that this demographic of people has always existed, but we unfortunately have to put up with the fact that they are now more vocal and accessible through the internet.

Still, Young people in general do not have it easy, i would say. In fact, in some respects they have it harder.  The advancing technology that we've touched on, has also led to difficulties in finding jobs. Especially in working-class communities, as machines have replaced much of the labour-intensive work that would have once required a great deal of manpower, and the increasing divide in society between the rich and poor has left it almost impossible for some people to gain the higher education needed in order to be trained in the type of roles that will lead to employment. Those that can afford university are crippled with years of student debts to pay off, and getting onto the property ladder through buying your first home is now a fantasy for most, unless they have rich parents or have somehow managed to save up the huge deposit required.

In this respect i think it is a good thing that people are challenging authority, as we are now more aware of the many unjust and harmful policies that are often put in place by our governments and corporations - a good citizen should be questioning this and looking to inspire change where possible.
When we look at somewhere like Saudi Arabia, for example - we see the the monumental struggle that young people face in demanding more individual rights, access to a proper education that will prepare them for a career, and freedom from deeply conservative religious constraints. Trapped between a self-serving monarchy and a Wahabbi islamist authority - options are bleak, But the small groups who do dare to challenge authority and speak out on these issues, MUST be encouraged and supported, and our youth should be more vocal in their support of these sorts of issues, and challenge our policies both home and abroad, rather than focusing on nonsense such as " Privilege checking" or Caitlyn fucking Jenner  ::)

There is a depressing undercurrent of extreme political correctness, whining and feigned indignation coming from certain students at universities - but they are not representative of an entire generation, and overall, i would say that the young professionals of today have a made a huge amount of positive contributions to society, and we should be more supportive and optimistic towards this generation as a whole, because they need our support.

You make a lot of good and insightful posts but one thing I have to disagree with is that young people today have it easier. I don't know how old you are but I am 56 years old. I have a few generations to compare to. There's no comparison.

Just comparing bbing as an example. Few teens, and I never knew a single one, ever went to a commercial gym let alone have access to the type of equipment they have now. Seems like everyone that worked out as a teenager start with the Sears 110 pound set. Those were the plastic plates filled with cement. And kids then actually worked out sans cell phone.

Put this man in jail for "beating" his student.

keep telling yourself that. We live in 2016. People with real power are the billionaires with their armies of lawyers. As if they would have a problem with strong, simple minded people like yourself.

i think i would agree that the work ethic in general of young people has changed.

in a societal context, the working desire of any generation depends on how comfortable they are growing up. The average American teenager in 2016 has a pretty good life. In most Asian countries, not so much. So these Asian teens have a stronger desire to work hard. Then they get kids, who might become more comfortable and lazy. The desire to work hard shifts from country to country like that as years pass.

Thanks, yes - it's certainly debatable, and in summary i would say that generally, everyone - not just young people, have it easier in many aspects of life due to what i mentioned earlier regarding modern consumerist society. But in terms of Job opportunity, education and home ownership, i would say that these things are demonstrably more inaccessible for the youth of today and the studies i've seen whilst having to look at housing policy, wealth inequality and education all validate this claim.(Apologies for not citing my evidence here when i really should, but it would take forever to go dig-up, break out old texts books etc and reference them)

Granted, we live in separate countries and you have decades on me in terms of real-life experience - so i accept that there may be some grounds for disagreement, and my studies were predominantly UK based, but the statistics on these issues are available for the U.S too, and i believe they demonstrate the same thing. Here's a short clip where Milton Friedman echoes much of what i'm saying in that people are much better off in terms of physical goods than they were in the days of his youth, (1920's) but people were far more free, secure and safe back then than they are now. Obviously, we aren't discussing HOW this came to be just now, but just debating whether or not the evidence actually does support that this IS actually the case.

Watch from around 16:00 to 19:00.

With your bodybuilding comparison, i think i would agree that the work ethic in general of young people has changed. I don't want to completely exonerate young people of any fault here, because we have a (huge) obesity problem in the U.K and the U.S, and i'm disgusted by the fat, lazy monstrosities that walk around feeling as though they are entitled to everything without ever having to graft for it; these people are ubiquitous in contemporary society and they deserve criticism, But I would say that this is now our society as a whole - not just the youth, and for the young professionals looking to get ahead and launch their careers, start families and stand on their own two feet, they face an increasingly vertiginous struggle.

Saving this post to comment later.

Human nature has not changed in centuries. The world is still ruled by force. Canada is far more wealthy than Russia but nobody cares what they think. Russia is a third world country but the have nukes so they matter. You could be a billionaire but if you mouthed off irl like you do here you would get your ass kicked.

That's why you hide  behind a computer and would never show your face in public. You're a panty and a coward.
