thanks obbummer.
shouldn't i at least have the choice if i want to enter into a contract with a insurance company?
i take care of myself and am very healthy. I use cash when i go to dentists or eye doc
is the fine to pay for the losers who don't pay anything and get the care for free?

Hi Fortress.
-
It's not a "fine" or a "penalty" it's a tax ::) ::) ::)
Sucks to hear.
Try writing a letter using ebonics to your state legislator, they will likely help you out
-
Can someone explain to me how its okay that a government forces me to buy something from a private company?
-
not quite sure why i would have to pay a fine or "Tax" for not entering into a contract with a insurance company that i don't need.
-

Because Chief Justice Roberts, instead of ruling the ACA unconstitutional, legislated from the bench and provided the sloppy writers of the act with an out and deemed it a "tax" therefore legitimizing it in the eyes of the law.

Better vote REP or it will only get worse.

It's shitty, agreed.
But this is old news.

And it's going to be $2,500 next year from what I was told. I went to my tax lady an someone had to pay $695 fine and the cops came and picked his ass up for threating her. :-\

It wont automatically be 2500. It will depend on these factors:
The fee is calculated 2 different ways – as a percentage of your household income, and per person. You’ll pay whichever is higher.
Percentage of income
2.5% of household income
Maximum: Total yearly premium for the national average price of a Bronze plan sold through the Marketplace
Per person
$695 per adult
$347.50 per child under 18
Maximum: $2,085

if i go see a doc which is very rare i pay cash.
the fines i pay are based on my income is what I've read

so just like insurance , some people actually pay some don't at all. great concept
-
Obamacare is a Republican healthcare plan also known as Romney Care. Republicans LOVE the private health insurance industry as do the Democrats minus Bernie Sanders.
Healthcare in America and how you get it is a complete joke. Laughing stock of the civilized world.

Sort of. There was a Republican bill in the Senate that looked a whole lot like Obamacare, but it wasn’t the only GOP bill on Capitol Hill, it never came to a vote and from what we can tell, plenty of conservative Republicans didn’t like it.

Politifact is a liberal supporting site. It exist to expose the "truth" for the left.

Wait till people who depend on their tax return find it withheld to pay the fine because they can't afford the monthly payments of an insurance policy that has such a high deductible that it's practically useless.
-
Easy out of this " fine " is to claim religious exemption.

You are a member of a health care sharing ministry, which is a tax-exempt organization whose members share a common set of ethical or religious beliefs and have shared medical expenses in accordance with those beliefs continuously since at least December 31, 1999.
Would you have to prove youre a member?

Nope. I know people who have no insurance and claim religious exemption and have never paid a fine. They file their taxes online and it's an option.

see thats the thing.... the only plans I can afford ARE indeed useless because they have a $5k-10k deductible.....WTF?

That private company funds the democrat cause and they have to get a return andalso make money on that investment.

well thats the thing. those who make nothing get tax returns. also those same people qualify to get the healthcare for a crazy low rate. and those of us who make money are fined because we could afford it. so those who make more have to pay for the broke asses who don't.
i ironic thing is i got a policy on myself in january. if I'm going to pay a fine i may as well be paying for something. I have a 250 a month premium and have a 2k deductible. so just in premiums ill pay 3k for insurance this year that ill never use. and if i wanted to use it id pay even more because of the whack ass deductible.
