i just read the galineko and no one book. pretty funny. do those guys still post here. it got me thinking my 1700-2000 cals are too high. i got a work/beach trip early may and im not shredded yet (not even close). not fat, but since im natty its a worse look
wondering how low you have gone for extended periods?
today i had bowl of ceral:
250
protein bar
200
veggie patty and broccoli
160
two cups chinese food white rice
400 cals
shrimp/broccolli
im estimating 400
1410 total. still want more food but i dunno

900-1000 cals a day with 24 grams of carbs(2 rice cakes) did that with 45 mins of high volume lifting,supersetting everything, and 20 mins of cardio ED
Went from blurry abs to veins on them in 10 days

I just read the whole thing too. I'm in a similar situation been dieting for 3-4 weeks. After reading that book I feel my calories are problably to high. Great tips in that book. I've been getting 1600-1800 calories. I think I need to suck it up for awhile and hit 1000 for a few weeks. I've dropped from 205 to 195 but a lot was water. I'm on the verge of being lean lol.

From May 2014 to December 2014 I consistently dieted on less than 1,000 calories a day while running and stopping weights. I lost 87 pounds in half a year, but my once thick hair also fell out in clumps as a result of the massive weight loss and has never fully grown back. I also gained back 63 pounds (intentionally).

When you eat 9000 to 10000 calories to bulk up you can easily cut with 8000 calories.

seems possible i guess. maybe for a week before a show or vacation. i could do one lenny n larrys protein cookie (360) for breakfast and then a big dinner of pasta and fish and pesto for dinner. wouldnt be too bad i suppose

when you get to desired bf level though, do you go back to a maintenence like 2500 (if you dieted on 1000)?
do you gain it all back or only a little?

it is virtually impossible to eat 10,000 cals a day for an extended period, most metabolisms cant deal with that food and simply shut you down.

1200 on a protein sparing modified fast with one cheat meal and one five-hour carb up per week. The Rapid Fat Loss Diet. I did it for one month. It was nearly unbearable but I had a LOT of fat to lose quickly after permabulking for a year and a half.

Been down to 1200 for a couple of weeks right at the end precontest. The reality is it isn't going to matter that much short term (as in the next couple of weeks). 400 calorie extra deficit takes about 9 days to lose ONE pound of fat. A little less food, a little more training, wringing a little more water out, might make a 5-7 lb difference so you could look a little leaner/harder. Lower your expectations cause it's mostly about water.

I stick to 1800 to be honest. I do 2500 on a weekend for sanity. It gets me in shape so I rarely deviate.

Even eating lower calories now, my bodyweight holds and i'm leaner. We all eat too much. If you're hungry, even if you are craving junk, eat it. Just don't overeat. The muscle won't just go.
If you're not getting leaner while dieting, it's all diet. Don't add in Clen or other shit, diet is number 1 by a mile. Fat burners are maybe for when you have been dieting many weeks and need a kick but manipulating diet with higher and lower calorie days works the best.

chicken breast for breakfast
chicken breast or tuna with lettuce for lunch
chicken breast or tuna with lettuce for dinner
occasional baked potato and/or apple
protein powder with water between meals if hungry.
I got whittled down to nothing :(

5 cans of tuna straight out da` can with 16 oz. water............for a zero carb day or two works wonders as long as you keep carbs moderate for the most part and can stomach the tuna.
Low in cals and high in protein.

try pulling the "honey, im just gonna eat a plain chicken breast for dinner" conversation and see how many fights that will cause

Anyway, threads like this just made me sad. To see some guy torturing himself in an endless, futile pursuit... I find it nauseating.
No one eats 1000 - 2000 calories a day long term. Only for a short while to 'prep for a show', in which one is physically and mentally weak from prolonged starvation.
Gal and no one tried to sell people on the idea that their results were sustainable, at least that was my impression. But they're not. No one can hide behind the stims forever.
Once you pop, you can either return to reality or get back in there and dive down the rabbit hole again, and again, and again.
You need to let go of the image if you ever want to escape the cycle.

you might say "of course not" but what is thong trying to achieve? the kind of body you need to eat 1k calories a day to get. and what did galeniko and no one say? "you can do it, we do it". even if they didn't exactly say that, it's easy to hear that if you want to.
maybe you can do it for a few months at a time, but you need drugs to stay sane. and even they can't save you forever. ultimately, thong's trying to achieve what he can't. but that's just bodybuilding in a nutshell: becoming weak while pursuing the image of strength, over and over and over again.

ceph i appreciate what u are trying to say and i do agree. Pursuing bbing is a total joke, and i know that. however, i feel that gal and no one had some good ideas, and 1000 cals isnt all that difficult if training and lifestyle are fairly lax. im at 1180 now and ill have a beer in a few and i feel full and fine.
i think where i hear your concern is what happens when u do get to the low bf. its not sustainable and i agree. so what does gal and no one have to say? i couldnt really tell by their book. do you go back to maintence? and if so, does bf creep back to where it was when u started?

It's been a while but from what I remember gal basically recommended a cyclical ketogenic diet.
Refeeds every couple days to top off glycogen, back to <1000 the rest of the time.
My question is: why us everyone in the fitness world always dieting? Dieting isn't enjoyable, so when you get to your goal, why not stay there?
Because your goal state is a weak state, and you can't stay there. So why do you want to return there, time after time?
Gurus prey off this confusion and fuel the fire with their 'solutions'.

Same diet Lee Labrada used, gets you shredded every single time. No muscle loss. Don't understand the need for guys to be under 1500 cals per day. Its not needed to get shredded, that's starvation type shit, and muscle loss will occur. I see people doing that and using thyroid, DNP, clen, and every other fat burner known to man.....still they're not shredded. Something is wrong there. I have found with GH and T4/T3 combo calories can be kept higher, especially carbs. Otherwise I flatten out a bit.

Seriously, the lowest calories I have ever went on was 834.5679 per day.
And, yes, I weighed my food every single day and it came out to this exact number each day.
Crazy.

I have always gotten to single digits with 2400-2200 and never have used a thing in my life. Maybe its the added yard work in the summer.

from the pics posted of you, you definitely have ectomorph genetics. in that case, this makes sense. for endos, not a chance in hell will that get someone shredded

Thats just silly. If you can't be in a caloric deficit at 2200-2400 calories, something is wrong. Do you lay in bed all day or something?
