I would go with that list too....EXCEPT I feel Lee Priest & Markus Ruhl is a First Tier pro
-
I'd put Pavol in the top and dennis james in the 2nd. Pavol wins or places very high usually
-
Cormier a first tier pro, haha yeah right, good joke.
-
Can we all agree that Bob Chicherillo is a 3rd Tier pro?
-
Here's how I'd define the tiers:
1st: Usually top 10-12 at the Olympia, a threat to win nearly any show they enter.
2nd: Usually good enough to snag an Olympia qualification, but will certainly place out of the top 10. They can win smaller shows, but only if no top-tier guys show up.
3rd: The scrubs. Will not qualify for the Olympia, except by a fluke (i.e. 5th in an NOC nobody good shows up for - see "Kamali"). Never a threat to win any show.
I think this is good except a 2nd Tier Pro can place within the top 10 at the Olympia if he hit's his mark & a couple of 1st Tier Pros miss their mark completely.

Johnny Moya from 1998 comes to mind - placed okay at the O tho
-
Vince Taylor has over 20 Pro wins, and isn't in the top tier on everyone's list? He just came in and tore the stage up at 49 yrs old.
-
He was top five in the haney era.. i think he is top tier
-
I placed him in the 2nd Tier.
He's been away for awhile
-
i also feel that lee priest and markus ruhl belong in the first tier. and i would throw vince taylor on there too, b/c he has more than 20 professional wins i believe. i think the only person who beats him in wins is ronnie coleman.
-

Cormier a first tier pro, haha yeah right, good joke.
Definitely an idiot to think that one of the top five WINNINGEST pros EVER is not in the Top Tier... he had one bad show and still is considered top 5 OVERALL in most peoples eyes...
-
Currently Cormier is not a tier 1 pro, he had potential but wasted it.
-
Is there a basement? Or is that what the 3rd Tier is considered
Starting from Bob Chick or Kamali & working your way backwards
-
Thanks Kenny, so Jocelyn would be behind Chic.

Toney Freeman - is a top tier pro.

To us,
Not to the judges though
-
kamali 4th tier
at best..
one bb who should be thankful for drugs..
-
How the f**k is Ruhl a 1st tier pro, and Melvin Anthony not up there!? ???
If you make it in the Top 5 in the Olympia you're a 1st tier Pro.
-
I placed Melvin at the very top of my 2nd Tier choices.
I believe with a few more wins or top placements...he could become 1st tier.

Good choices, but bodybuilding being subjective, you're always going to find somebody who thinks their fav should be a tier 1 or somebody you've ranked at 3 should be 2, but all in all I agree with most.
