Wife and I were coming out of an NRA class the other night, and some ass-clowns were yelling anti-gun things at us, and holding a Hilary sign.
I said "Nice target" (The Hilary pic) and aimed my Glock 43 at it (unloaded).
Why are they so against responsible gun ownership? They want bans in effect where only the criminals will have them? Dumb fucking bunch they are...

Why?... because liberalism is a mental disease.
-
You pointed a gun at them?
Empty or not, pointing it at them or "their sign"...
You pulled and brandished a weapon at protesters? That's a felony, brother. Be careful with that. I've carried for 18 years now. Can't let the trolls goad you into a jail sentence. Everyone has cell video of everything.

I get the feeling we are being craftily trolled...

I've been an NRA instructor for much of their curricula since 1991. It's an actual thing.
OP, please tell me the three cardinal rules of gun safety and which ones did you horribly violate?

Did you then proceed to walk to your kia picanto, whilst making sure your pants didn't sag further than your knees? You little gangster, you.
Had this incident actually happened, you're the dumbcunt. Not only committing a felony and potentially harming gun-owners by publically brandishing a weapon against others, you're also not a responsible gun owner to begin with. Way to go, giving the anti-gun lobby more ammo.

Wealth redistribution cannot be fully executed without abolishing the Second Amendment.

I do the same thing all the time with my Baby Browning. I then twirl it around on my trigger finger before slipping it back in my pocket. Good times, I bet those libtards shit their organic/hemp underwear. :D
-
or worse, one of the people in the crowd, or one of the people in your own NRA group, could have seen you draw/point a weapon - and believed you were about to commit a forcible felony - and the may have drawn and used their own weapon.
some of our NRA people will tell you... they probably woudln't be charged with anything if they capped you for pointing a weapon at people. unloaded or not. I hope you're just trolling with this entertaining story about making libs piss their pants. Chances are, the NRA class would have just instilled in you the legal penalties for letting that gun be seen alone... much less pulling and pointing it. Great thread though, seeing that G43 with my reeces puffs is an awesome way to begin the day :)

I had a ccw f9r 14 years. Carried the first year or two, that was about it.

In the state of California, concealing a handgun is a misdemeanor, concealing a knife (has to be certain size) is a felony, never made any sence to me.
Exposed knife is not agains the law neither is an exposed gun that is not loaded....again, no sense. ..

However, exposed cock is bad, but concealed cock (regardless of size) is not against the law. no sense

Nope, not at them, at a sign on the fence... Plus they were yelling/threatening, fuck 'em...
-

You make a very good point here.....I can't argue with this one!
-
I just asked a friend who loves gun, and he says whether he was pointing them at a sign or at people, it's still 100% wrong. You should never brandish a firearm unless you have intent to use it.
This proves that the majority of gun nutters DO NOT practice gun safety. The NRA and gun nutters talk about gun safety, blah, blah, blah. The majority of gun nutters do not practice gun safety. This is why its so difficult to take them seriously because of instances like this. How many times has stuff like this happened? Probably A LOT!
And then he has the nerve to ask, "Why are they so against responsible gun ownership?" Yup, brandishing your weapon for no apparent reason is responsible gun ownership. Geez, the stupid is strong in this thread (if he's not trolling).

as the resident gun expert I had to chime in on this
clearly OP should be disarmed, arrested and incarcerated immediately.

Pffft, sometimes it's a good thing to flex your 2nd amendment rights. I regularly carry 2 Baby Brownings at the same time. If I encounter libtards like the OP, I pull them out of each pocket and say, "Do you want the left had or the right hand?" They're still concealed, in my hands, but the intent is very effective. ;)

try concealing this mofo. Sometimes saggy pants come in handy.

That would be too hard to conceal. That's why I stick with 2 Baby Brownings, one for each pocket. 7 rounds in each gives me plenty, and nobody ever knows they're there. ;)

what's the point of concealing a weapon? not trolling btw. isn't half the "safety" of guns the fact they're a deterrent?

the wealthy generally live in blue states i think about 1\2 the forbes 400 live in cali or nyc, we're not exactly gun friendly in nyc

I live in NY. I had the cops confiscate a hunting knife on a traffic stop, saying it qualifies as an illegal gravity knife. I bought it down the road in sports authority! I had to go to court and show a receipt to have the charges dropped. Ridiculous.

Speaking of cool firearms I've been transforming my AK74 by adding a Hogue front-end grip, a magpul folding stock, a singlepoint sling and a Vortex 1x6x24 scope. Even though I loved it in its traditional commie red wood and iron sights...its new look is a thing of beauty.
Before pic below. Will take some after pics later. ;D

depends who you ask. If the gun is showing, and a robbery starts, it's likely the guy sitting at his table eating a hamburger with a gun on his hip is going to get shot first. Better to have that gun concealed... if you choose to use it, it's a complete surprise to a bad guy who believes the room is full of sheep.
if your gun shows, you'll have a big target on your head. Better to shriek and duck with everyone, unsheath your weapon, and plug the bad guy in the back.
-

Generally speaking: I feel a visible gun will make as many people with ill intent more proactive/aggressive than it will deter. Someone who lacks what it takes to use their gun is likely to be intimidated and disarmed.
I only carried concealed. It's safer if people don't find out about a gun until you're ready to shoot.

On the contrary. When I go out with a couple of 41's strapped to my waist, they make people less aggressive. The see the shear size of them, and quickly back down. :D

What you did isn't responsible gun ownership at all.
I have never pointed a weapon (believed to be unloaded or not) at anything I didn't plan on shooting.
Your actions are why people THINK they want gun control.

Firstly why even shoot if someone's robbing an establishment that's not your own(assuming no lives are in danger)? secondly isn't an establishment less likely to be robbed if a guy walks in and sees that a good amount of people are packing?

Do you often find yourself among people with ill intent? 8 million people in nyc as as long as i stay out of the Hebrew neighborhoods I've never found myself in any sort of danger.

the gun may not come into view until he's at the counter with his drawn. At that point, it's gonna be a shootout and not a good one for the armed guy with a fistful of cheeseburger. Most bad guys don't walk around the whole dining room before drawing on the cashier.

What's even more funny is that he loves the constitution and goes on and on about the second amendment. Yet, gets all bent out of shape when people demonstrate their first amendment rights, and brandishes a weapon near them. Talk about being a hypocrite :D :D

With the added benefit of keeping tyrannical governments in check and preventing gangs of marauding drug addled ethnic/religious minorities from kicking down your door, raping/murdering your family and stealing your family heirlooms.

There's always going to be the idiots who shoot themselves or others by accident. It's very sad! They should actually on probation for "accidents", they clearly do not have the right temperament to handle a firearm. I would never point a gun at anything or anyone unless I have the intent to destroy it. They are not toys.

Agree
OP is lucky to be breathing
such wanton disregard for safety should be rewarded with immediate gun shots to the torso

I taught many, many courses in MA and FL that fulfilled the training requirement for a CCW. In every class, I always mentioned the fact that carrying a gun made you "the biggest coward in the world" because every confrontation you engage in, is immediately promoted to a deadly force situation because you are strapped. If you are prone to violence, fisticuffs or just talking shit, you are probably not a good candidate for a CCW.

guns make it so that the lowest, poorest, dumbest, weakest, sorriest scrub they encounter - can take their asses out.
Guns are the great equalizer. People with a lot of $ don't feel equal all day long - they drive better cars, eat better meals, bang hotter girls, live in nicer houses. The police are nicer to them. They feel safe most of the time.
But they know that all it takes is one bad apple, and they can lose it all, and all the $ in the world can't fix or change that. IMO, that's why most rich people hate guns. They'll always have theirs, sure, but it's more about them shitting their pants because they know a trip to the gas station can take away all they've built.

Maybe. Maybe they don't have anything left to prove? Maybe they aren't holding on to anything to justify their self worth, now they've actually accomplished something great, something meaningful in our society?

i'm not hating on them for being rich. I look to them for inspiration.
I know i started carrying a gun because I never felt safe. Grew up near cleveland, riding the city bus, in a touch area, lived in projects or with relatives as we were evicted quite a bit. moved to FL, lived in the trailer parks then in some nasty apartments during college, then trailer again.... as soon as I could carry, I did.
I'm grown up now, living in a decent house in good area. I feel safer, but 25+ years of living in danger has changed me. I don't answer door without a glock, I don't take out trash or check mail without a piece. Just part of me now.
Rich people... maybe they grew up with that feeling of safety 24/7. Never had a need for a gun because their gated community has dudes on golf carts running security lol. Never felt f**king SCARED. You know that feeling when you're about to get jumped? When you have to avoid this kid or that kid because they're batshit crazy and in a gang? When some kids on a bus are plotting something and all you can do is wait for it? When you'll walk 4 blocks in the snow to take the long way cause you're scared to go past certain houses? May wealthy never have FEAR for real.
I don't carry a gun to prove anything. I carry it because the world is full of crazy people and I want to be prepared should one of them try to wreck my day.

Well said, 240. I spent some time in Palm Beach recently. Ultra wealthy area. I felt totally uncomfortable there. They had the type of wealth where they'd hire someone to carry their concealed carry. Obviously, some people don't have to live like others, like those from Palm Beach on down the line...

Quite frequently, I play guitar at country clubs, private parties, ritz, etc. Stiff, uptight, uncomfortable (and triple the pay haha)
And, just as often, I play guitar at a nice dive bar... "Crazy Bitch" and "blister in the sun"... relaxing as shit. Less $, most people are buzzed and trying to hook up, there are fights at times, people are drama, and I just feel so comfy and relaxed there now.
Rich people look at me like I'm crazy when I instinctively pat/check my wallet when they walk past me closely lol.
