I think a lot of whites out there don't realize that blacks do not like them at all or at the very least want to be among their own kind and not mingle with whites. They don't want forced integration anymore than whites do.
Whats amusing is that everyone I talk to about these issues, feels the same way no matter what the race. People just want to be separate for the most part. Sure, there can be interaction, but nothing too close on a broad scale. Everyone segregates themselves and its completely normal.
With that said, I run into no whites, even ultra liberal whites, that think the BLM movement is a good thing or that they wish they could do more for blacks. In fact, the opposite is true. I just met two gay men today, who within five minutes of meeting them, were railing about the worthless state of blacks in NC. And these are liberal gays in the community.
The same is true when it comes to blacks. The other day I was traveling to a different city and I stopped at a store. A black guy had a dog in a pickup truck and I asked if I could pet the dog. He said, "yeah go ahead, shes a strange one. She actually likes white people. First dog I have had that likes white people", and he let a big laugh. It was obvious that he does not associate with whites nor does he want to really which is totally fine and nothing wrong with at all.
Its not like blacks are sitting around, hoping to help whitey or thinking about what they can do to help relations with whites. They don't want anything to do with whites if they don't have to. No idea why people can't realize this.

Yeah, people up north and out west have no clue how to interact with them because they never see any.
They don't get that races like to be separate. They treat each race as a novelty meant to be exhibited as a spectacle. The truth is whites and blacks just want to be left alone and each side wants to do their own thing because they have their own culture and difference. Sure there can be some crossover and interaction, but nothing too deep. That is the way blacks and whites like it in the south and that is the way it has worked.

I feel the same way. People really like talking and interacting with me and I am very personable. The truth is though, I have better things to do with my time, even though I am good at attracting people into a conversation and making them feel that they matter. In fact, I like to make them feel that they matter sometimes because I like to ask questions. People LOVE to talk about themselves. Ask the right questions and they spill everything. Form that bond instantly and they will eat out of your hand. When you leave, they will want more of you, they will want to be your friend and so on. Same is true with women, men, any age. Does not matter. Its ironic that I hate people, but know how to be a people person easily, but as I said, I have better things to do. haha

We were meant to be separate. God gave everyone their lands for a reason. You can always do business but in general, I feel were all better off within our own communities. That doesnt mean you have to hate the people. But that's not going to happen anytime soon because the menu says globalism, not nationalism.

I'm sure you've heard of America referred to as an "experiment". It's for a reason. This, what we're doing is not natural. It was built on blood, and has continued to shed blood worldwide. Diversity is not a strength when the values of two groups or more are completely different from each other my friend. It causes problems and nothing else. Unity on the other hand is a different story.

So you are advocating that the groups mesh together and erase their Diversity? I think Diversity should be preserved and not tinkered with. Let it run its course through the zeitgeist, changing with the times (perhaps some cultures won't). This enables each group to identify problems with each other and their culture. When people migrate to another country most do so with the understanding that they will have to follow the general rules of that society. Its called unifying, to work together. Thats how it's always been. You are trying to make that sound like thats wrong. You make it sound like you have to lose your own identity. You dont. Again it just means working together. OBJECTIVES:
To examine the perceived harms/risks of fluoridation as expressed in online forums relating to cessation and aftermath in Calgary, specifically, 1) which harms/risks are mentioned, 2) for those harms/risks, what kinds of evidence are cited, 3) to what extent is scientific literature cited, and what is its quality, and 4) for a subset of harms/risks, what is known from the broader scientific literature?
METHODS:
Relevant online comments were identified through free-text Internet searches, and those explicitly discussing the harms/risks of water fluoridation were extracted. Types of evidence mentioned were identified, and the scientific papers cited were reviewed. Finally, the broader scientific literature on two of the harms/risks was reviewed and synthesized.
SYNTHESIS:
We identified 17 distinct groups of harms/risks, which spanned human body systems, the environment and non-human organisms. Most often, no evidence was cited. When evidence was cited, types included individuals viewed as authorities and personal experiences. Reference to scientific articles was rare, and those papers (n = 9) had significant methodological concerns. Our review of scientific literature on fluoride and 1) thyroid functioning and 2) phytoplankton revealed some negative effects of fluoride at concentrations exceeding maximum recommended levels (>1.5 ppm).
CONCLUSION:
The findings have implications for communication with the public about fluoridation. First, to the extent that the public consults the scientific literature, it is essential that the methodological limitations of a study, as well as its relevance to community water fluoridation, be widely and promptly communicated. Second, scientific evidence is only one component of why some people support or do not support fluoridation, and communication strategies must accommodate that reality.
