Guarding Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson is no easy task, Thunder center Steven Adams learned Monday night. But describing that challenge is what got the Thunder center in trouble following Game 1.
“I don’t envy guards mate. They’re quick little monkeys, those guys,” Adams told ESPN on the court after Oklahoma City’s 108-102 win.
Adams, 22, later admitted to using “a poor choice of words.”
“I wasn’t thinking straight. I didn’t know it was going to upset anyone, but I’m truly sorry,” Adams told USA Today. “It was just a poor choice of words. I was just trying to express how difficult it was chasing those guys around.”

Point is, he wasn't referring to the players as monkeys because of their phenotype. It was because of the agility and shiftiness of the players. If whites had these skills, same could be said of them.

Black people must think they resemble monkeys otherwise they wouldn't get so butthurt when someone compares them to one.
Plus, if we all evolved from apes, then why is it an insult to be compared to a monkey or an ape? We pretty much are apes...all of us. White and black.
Bottom line, this is just more blacks being self-conscious about how they look. Taking out their self-loathing on whites.
