Title: Over the Counter anti - e
Post by: Mr.Protein on March 24, 2006, 05:21:17 AM
I've been looking at a product from "Gaspari Nutrition" called Novedex XT which claims to boost total and bioavailable Test. and lower estrogen.

I'm not a big fan of ANY OTC muscle supp., however, I try to keep an open mind.

I'm currently running Test. Cyp. only and was wondering if using this stuff might free up some Test. making more available for anabolic purposes.

Is it a scam product ???  I don't think it would be able to significantly raise my level of total Test. or else it would not be available OTC.
Lowering estrogen and freeing up some Test., however,  wouldn't seem to be unrealistic claims.

Thanks in advance for any useful info. ;)

I don't mess with OTC supplements for the most part.

Gaspari's products are well-known to be overpriced for the quality you get.

I do not advise you to do this.

Use the real thing or don't use anything.

Thanks Div.  I think along the same lines.  The product's ability to down regulate SHBG had me thinking it might make more Test. bioavailable.

I never messed with OTC stuff and I never will.
The best way is like DIV said,..use the real stuff or nothing. This is the best what you can do IMO.  8)

It might, but you're really overthinking here.  If you are going to take it down to that level, there are always going to be checks & balances to any decisions you make, the contraindications of the drugs you use together, etc. etc.

I think you need to stick to the basics and worry about those, the factors you have complete control over.  Even if you were able to make more Test bioavailable, at what cost and would it really translate to more gains in lean body mass and progress in the gym?

You're splitting hairs here....

Thanks Marky,
I wish I had a nickle for every dollar I've spent on worthless supps... :'( I'd be a wealthy man.

Sad to see Gaspari has sunk to such depths to play on the name Nolvadex with this product.  For that reason alone I would never touch a single one of his products.  Disgraceful.

Even though my opinions are probably not as cultured as some other members who have tried alot of stuff.  I have tried Novedex XT and it does work.  A buddy of mine who gets blood work done because he has low Test, and is on Test Replacement therapy tried it too.  The Therapy keeps him at a Test level of around 800.  After doing a month on Novedex XT his Test levels were up to 1300.  He stopped using the product only because he didn't want his test Levels that high, and his physican advised him to not stack such products with Test Replacement.  So this just goes to prove that the product does raise Test levels.  I tried a bottle and I noticed a difference in my workouts and mood as well.  The results are not overnight, it took about a week on the product before I started to notice the results.  The biggest thing it did for me was help me sleep at night.  Even though I never personally got blood work done, I am pretty sure I had low Test.  Before I started the product, I would sleep for 12 hours and wakeup tired.  now I wake up on my own after about 7 hours ready to get up and start my day.  I have never done anything hardcore so I couldn't compare the two.  I could only guess that the real thing would yeild better results.  but I am not yet willing to make that life change.  The price may be a little high. I buy mine from http://advantagesupplements.com  Much cheeper than buying it at your local Supp shop.  I am about to buy my second bottle, as I have been happy with the results.

Sound cool, but what's the price breakdown?

I wonder if the cost is worth it compared to other measures?

darksol,
You sound cultured to me compared to some the dribble that gets posted on most boards. :P

Do you know what dosage, esther and injection frequency your HRT friend does to achieve his 800 ng/dl target? Also did he have his "free" Testosterone level tested as well?  Many times a bloodtest will report total test. and not "free" test... it's another procedure and of course an additional charge. Thanks bro :)

I am not too sure how much he is taking.  I will have to ask him more about that next time I talk to him.  I know when he was taking the Novedex XT he was taking 3 pills right before bed.
