Conservatives are always yelling about STATES RIGHTS!!!!!!!!!
Well, you californians elected this POS. So it's tough to blame libs when you live in a state that is majority liberal.
It's like moving to Syria and bitching about all the extremism... you choose to live in a place infested with that. It's like moving to alaska and whining about the cold weather. Again, you knew what Cali was when you chose to make it your residence.
tough to blame obama for this one... he lets the state decide ;)

wow - a chinese factory replaces some of the pseudo indentured servant assembly line workers with robots
yeah, that's certainly because of minimum wage laws in the US
You ought to be glad that they haven't yet invented a robot who can teach kids how to flip tires and cripple them with idiotic box squats or you'd be out of a job
-
I think it's Moonbeam, not Moonbaby. Governor Moonbeam.

There won't be shit for anyone to do, before too long. Civilized people need to protect ourselves from the cultures we can't force into line. First stop: the political culture in Washington.

You can't defend it anyway. Even with your "finance" degree.
Maybe you missed this little tidbit on the bottom.....
Former McDonald's chief executive Ed Rensi recently told the US's Fox Business programme a minimum-wage increase to $15 an hour would make companies consider robot workers.
"It's cheaper to buy a $35,000 robotic arm than it is to hire an employee who is inefficient, making $15 an hour bagging French fries," he said.

maybe - as a society - THIS is the catalyst for innovation.
maybe this causes the whole generation of fast food workers to go to college and develop skillsets.
Personally, I'm against min wage at all - I've been very public about it since 2005 on getbig when i had to do this massive paper on why min wage defeats the poor workers in the capitalist market.

It'll be cheaper than paying $3 hour, soon enough.
So do we knock everyone down to 2?
Like I said, pretty soon there won't be shit for anyone to do. We need to start preparing, and step one is to shut the door on the garbage cultures in this world and let them fix their own shit. Best thing we can do is to show them the way from a safe distance.

In a free market, nobody takes the $3 an hour jobs. And those companies close up shop.
The companies that pay $8 an hour absorb the best of these workers and excel in service as a result.
the worst of the workers wash out of these companies and go back to school, read up on a skill, etc.

The automatic service shit will become common at some point, soon, and we will live to see it take over everything. Everything we take for granted, now, even driving, will no longer be open for us to do.

defend what exactly
how long have car companies been using robots on assembly lines
technology is always going to win if it's cheaper and more effecient
I assume you're not riding around in a horse drawn carriage

Tim Fogerty once made a post about it. At first, it seemed absolutely insane. But it is true. We're going to have all these people with nothing to do but suffer.
The politicians with their immigration "policies" will have long fled, and we'll be left trying to deal with the mess.
But don't worry about the wealthy. They'll be just fine somewhere, separated from the misery.

Of course ... If we view employment as a large pizza ... we are giving out six larger slices as opposed to eight smaller slices. Which is better, to give eight people an entry level job or six? What are we suppose to do with career entry level job personnel? Seems that the higher minimum wage will deter preparation and hard work to advance and compete with an increased skill set and stagnant development. Good luck you leftist retards.

Yes, they'll hire extra people, just 'cause!! A well-known business tactic.

Sure, simply walk out to the money tree, grab some extra cash and overpay the laziest of society for not educating themselves - and not working hard on the job. Why didn't I think of that?

They use precise methods to do what they do, and everything else is background noise. As long as we have an open funnel from the third world, a worker's dignity will be low priority. Let's get real.
