LOL No shit.
With a very narrow work ethic, word around the campfire is dude quit his own company, and left the investors to clean up the mess!
-
He's still on the website
http://www.giftednutrition.com/
-
proof
-
Just heard it on Palumbo and Aceto's Heavy Muscle Radio show as well as the hardened streets of Venice Beach.
Edit: The mention is in the opening of the show.

Confirmation by Goodrum or it didn't happen. 8)

Evidently this guy, Joey Firestone, is the principle behind the company:

Hope the losses weren't too bad. Losing a business is never fun. :-\ Something tells me Phil walked away the least scathed, but that's just an assumption.

Where does this prove that Phil left? ??? ???

The first bodybuilders were Kushites.

He is the Gift, How can he quit his own line?
-
Heard he's being courted by British Dragon.
-
Did they make him return the white lab coat?
-
Simple. No graft, no Phildo, errr...."Gift".
-
If this is true, can they used the name "Gifted", because he is "The Gift"?
-
Confirmation by Goodrum or it didn't happen. 8)
I already said a long time ago that its been a losing venture. Its never turned any type of profit. Phil Heath is not very popular
-

Robbery. The raw material and packaging cost cannot be more than $10 bucks per 2.5lb can.
-
I think Kai's Dymanik Muscle will fare a lot better. Aaron is Aaron, but he has a lot more going for him in that department, business wise.
-
Confirmation by Goodrum or it didn't happen. 8)
Word. This is all just heresay until Vince confirms.

Because he's not The Gift, he's The Grift:
Grifted Nutrition
:D :D :D

I already said a long time ago that its been a losing venture. Its never turned any type of profit. Phil Heath is not very popular
He did not get distribution from bodybuilding.com so that already was a nail in the coffin bc that's who would buy his stuff. He should've done like Jay and hooked up with an established brand and lent his name, image, and such to the product. He should have also not been cursing out what few fans he has online
I want to know how he afforded that big ass stage at the Olympia if it was a losing venture. I told my friends I don't blame Kai for being pissed off about that!
-

shut your fat fucking mouth-I've talked about it long before u chimed in fuckwad- u r no insider-no one tells u anything
Go away!

Manufacturing, product labels and cartons, office staff, shipping, advertising, retail stores profit levels.
It's all the same shit I don't know what goes on but does GNC have their own brand? Doing that cuts a lot of stuff out for the same stuff.

Melvin, since you seem to be so knowledgeable about, & an insider to all things fitness related, with direct ties to some of the industry's biggest movers & shakers, why is it that your fitness business is doing so dismally & you have to work at a Verizon call center for $10.59hr?

*AHEM* It's called "Netjerking". ;)

:D
No Netjerking needed. You simply have to analyze and see who is selling it. Nobody was selling "Gifted Nutrition" because they simply did not like Phil Heath. Being Mr Olympia doesn't mean shit if you're an arrogant prick. Same thing happenned with Dexter Jackson.
Dynamik Muscle is selling modestly well but Aaron Singerman is now taking the reins on it so its going to really move. The key is to get product buys outside the United States because people are now wiser as to how things work.

Um distribution doesn't rely on whether people like you or not. It has to do with whether you can move product or not. Now unless you mean his business reelationships because bodybuilding.com not selling it was the nail in the coffin. That's the audience who knows who me Olympia is and would buy his stuff. Now I do agree that Overseas is where people make money these days because they aren't as up to date as people in the states
Supplements are a terrible idea these days unless you've got a decent product or something new and innovative. Too many supplement companies.
How is his.Gifted clothing line going? Remember those $250 pair of shoes he was peddling? I can't figure out who his business advisors are.
-

Ah yes...No Netjerking needed. One must simply analyze with Anal-Eze. Get it? Got it? Goodrum it ! ;D

Distribution makes a huge difference as well as cost of the product. The larger the check you could cut for product, the better. The big money of course is in legal steroids. You cut a check to China for 100k and you can get about 50 pounds of the latest prohormones which you can turn into almost a cool million in profits very easily after manufacturing and label cost. Honestly the companies that make the most money are the ones that have in house production. Very costly but worth it in the long run if you're serious about making money.
-
Bernie Sanders should come out with his own protein brand. Maybe it'd get the younger kids off the fast food, and on to some complete amino acid profile food choices.
-
What an absolute joke.
All these pros/wanna-bes "launching" (oh brother ::) ) their own "line" of supplements. "Signature Series".
They hire a graphic artist to design some sharp and cutting label, take some pics at a lab wearing a lab coat and source out who's selling the raw ingredients cheapest (a.k.a. the company everyone else is using). "Formulate" their own balance of fart powders and ... celebrate with some GH and insulin injections.
The industry is founded on lies, hyperbole and thievery.
The depths to which some will go to make a buck is pathetic.
Fuck Heath. In all ways, the worst Mr. O ever.
-
80% of businesses fail in their first year.
And in Phil's defense, he has a full-time job as an pro bodybuilder. He probably had a difficult time doing both. Gaspari & Labrada started their companies after they had retired from competing. As did Jay.
-
how was phil's protein compared, in terms of pricing? I think I remember getbig saying it was very high on the price end for a product similar to everything else (not good, not bad, just solid)
-
I already said a long time ago that its been a losing venture. Its never turned any type of profit. Phil Heath is not very popular
You must got truly bottom and find out everything about this and share it with us.
-
Ok I'll be the jerk that asks again, are any of these products any good?
I happen to like lee labrada from the few times I've met him, Gaspari as well, to a point.
I realize these guys don't formulate their stuff, just lend a known name.
Azure, Fortress, your responses especially appreciated.

I doubt he had a high cost product. These guys think that this will be quick money. They slap their names and labels on some cheap ass product that's probably spiked with amino acids and let the fools have at it. People these days aren't as naive as before to believe the Muscletech type transformations they did back in the day. 95% of people know that Phil didn't get to be Mr Olympia by taking Gifted Nutrition Protein powder and Amino Acids!
The market is too saturated right now and with horrible products to make much money and it doesn't matter if you're Mr. Olympia or not. I knew the thing would fail when I saw it was not being distributed by bodybuilding.com How are you NOT going to have bodybuilding.com distribute your product when the people on that site actually know who Mr.Olympia is? That's your target market.
He should have just taken free money from an established line and had a Gifted series.
-
And in Phil's defense, he has a full-time job as an pro bodybuilder. He probably had a difficult time doing both. Gaspari & Labrada started their companies after they had retired from competing. As did Jay.
Chuckle....Phil didn't have to do shit. All the supplement industry is now is advertising and marketing. That's it. You just need to cut a check for product and labels and there's plenty of people you can do that which. You can even do it from your own home. That's what I did many years ago. I'd cap up some prohormones in a cheap Cap M Quick device and sell them on Ebay in nothing more than a sealed bag and a cheap black and white label (Postal Label). The most money was made at the end of the prohormone law when China was practically giving away that Methyl-D shit. Really toxic shit but it worked.
Phil simply had too many hands in his pockets and didn't understand that the selling point was himself.
-

Yes, I agree. Phil should have simply let someone else spend the money. He thought he could capitalize on his Mr Olympia....problem is that Ronnie, Jay and even Dexter is more popular than he is

Most of these protein powders are worthless garbage IMO. Gaspari was accused of spiking his stuff with cheap amino acids.

Very true on this. Pay some Instagram models, get a booth at some expos and hire a good social media staff to troll the internet. Doesn't matter what you're selling - people will buy.
Quality supps are just not as popular these days. The most-hyped products are what i see on the shelves. No different than the food industry. If you want good, quality stuff, you're going to have to do some research and/or pay a bit more

So I guess this completely explains why all of your businesses are total & utter failures.
Imagine how well you could've done if people liked you & didn't think of you as a lazy pathological obese blow hard with delusions of grandeur.

DUDE, are you serious?
I don't hate Melvin or anyone on the internets, & barely anyone in real life.
This is just fun n' games, directed towards someone who's been an endless source of tragic comedy for the last decade.

well thats good to know man. i am not defending the guy, i just know his nonsense isn't worth putting energy into. you sen to be right on top of whenever he posts his crap. i know how that can be easy to get caught up into. proving the guy is wrong or a liar. isn't needed. everyone knows his deal and what he is about. he is quite the funny guy though. his life is so nuts its good for the board

-
Chuckle....Phil didn't have to do shit. All the supplement industry is now is advertising and marketing. That's it.
50% of almost ANY industry is marketing/advertising. That's just as time consuming as any other aspect of business. The difference between a successful supplement company and a failure will have more to do with the quality of the two companies' marketing than the actual products they sell.
-

Oh Melvin Goodrum, you're lying yet again. I don't use supplements, so asking a fat loser like you for any would be like a vegetarian asking Gandhi for a T-Bone steak.
You don't like the fact that someone calls you on all of your lies & that's why you're too scared to answer me. You run & hide with: More to come. Stay tuned. I've been asked to stand down etc etc etc..
I mean, how can you possibly answer when you've been caught & backed into a corner? Especially when you have the IQ of a piece of govt issued welfare cheese.
You're so dumb & yet...so fat.

Vincent you should start up a youtube channel with your inside knowledge of the fitness industry. if a bullshitter like blaha carved out a piece of the market for himself, you should have no problem.
getbig will be behind you. edit: no homo
-
Vincenzo, what are your training goals for the next 6-8 months?
None...I'm not competing anymore and I'm not even working in the fitness or supplement industry other than my already established websites. I've sold less than 5000 bucks in supplements this year.....majority of it being Advocare offline. Most of my sales are now from selling medical equipment and recreational goods like spas and saunas. I'm about to turn Anabolic Mayhem into a supplement store/exercise equipment site like BB.com but that's only for traffic purposes.
The supplement industry right now is way too saturated and there's going to be a mass exodus of product lines. In addition, a lot of people who run these companies are going to get indicted as well for selling prohormones and now DMAA. Its just madness when you risk prison time just to make a buck. Fuck that noise

I'm actually working on it right now. The Youtube market is very hot and being a personality I've been told that I could do as well.

wait... so this narrow shoulder habitual line stepper and man purse wear goes on about how he started his own nutritional and clothing when in the reality he is just a paid endorser?

You never competed. You showed up fat & out of shape & stepped onto a BB stage. That's not competing. It's called delusional embarrassment.
When did you ever work in the fitness industry? You are a fat slob & never had a single PT client from your fake PT degree.
Your websites have no income & are just cookie cutter sites with zero net presence.
You failed at EVERYTHING & that's why you work at a Verizon call center for $10.54hr.
Those who can, DO. Those who can't, make excuses & work at a Verizon call center for $10.54hr.

I saw his stuff on amazon and I thought that was strange for a start up supp company. I would have had him start out on bodybuilding.com and then expand to Amazon later on down the line. There are way too many known brands on Amazon for him to compete there. His audience is on bodybuilding.com unless he wants to be exclusively overseas. Ronnie and Kai are both on bodybuilding.com

Why the hell took you so long to figure that out ? If Blaha is making money there is no reason you couldnt.

:D

lol I like this Vince G guy. ;D
-
Why the hell took you so long to figure that out ? If Blaha is making money there is no reason you couldnt.
Uuummmmm, because he's delusional & thinks anything he does is going to be successful & superior & therefore has no clue of what reality really is?
If you've been failing at 100% of everything you do all your life, are morbidly obese, are the laughing stock of the internets, lived in a trailer with a cross eyes gargoyle, live below the poverty level & still brag about how successful you are, you pretty much have no grasp of reality.
-
How much do they pay at Verizon. I heard $10.54 / hr.
:D
That's about right.
I mean, why would you pay an unskilled dancing monkey any kind of decent money when all they do is talk to customers all day on the phones.
Hardly a skilled vocation!!!!
And to think, Melvin Goodrum has an electrical engineering degree that could be netting him a great salary, but he chooses to work for pittance instead.
-
Hahaha, another Getbig thread descends into a discussion about Goodrum's failed business ventures ;D
-
How much do they pay at Verizon. I heard $10.54 / hr.

I would have stayed at Lowe's if it was that amount...I was making 11.15 there

Been busy just getting out of Sylva
-
I would have stayed at Lowe's if it was that amount...I was making 11.15 there
But you left Lowes for a lower paying job so you could have access to their corporate gym so you could workout 2 times a day.
I'd say that was another smart business decision, in a long line of smart business decisions.
Good for you Melvin Goodrum. This is a step towards a better future & getting off Govt assistance.

The industry is founded on lies, hyperbole and thievery.
The depths to which some will go to make a buck is pathetic.
Fuck Heath. In all ways, the worst Mr. O ever.
Heath will likely go down with the most Sandows ever. Not easy being a pro bodybuilder, powerlifter, or strongman as the general public doesn't care for the look. Health at least makes very good money. Your old friend Gardiner was paying him well for quite a while. Odd how Gardiner was smart enough to make the big bucks while Kennedy's leap into the supplement game was a flop. The industry is founded on lies, hyperbole and thievery. True. Would you be so bitter if you actually succeeded in the industry that paid your bills for so long?

god you must fuck your grandmother's corpse ::)
No, only your grandmother.

No, only your grandmother.
Let's just make sure our balls don't touch then.

I'm not bitter. I love weight training and the fundamental essence of building the body.
Ragging on tools like Heath is an outlet for my amusement as I am appalled with so much of what is "the industry".
While I was in it, I was successful as, as you say, I was paid well and received quite the insider education. This knowledge, and its chafing against my character, drove me away from it.
I have a wonderful life. Have all the money I need (and more) and I haven't bartered away my integrity and honour to do it.
I suppose to be a Paul Gardiner you can't have these character attributes to begin with. His great wealth is, as far as I'm concerned, stolen money.
In the deplorable history of such individuals, he's a con man. A liar. One of little ethic.
Oh, and don't even hint towards comparing Paul to Bob Kennedy. For all his faults (and we all have them), Robert was one hundred times the man Gardiner will ever be.
MuscleMag International is legend. Kennedy's generosity known far and wide.
MuscleTech is a footnote in the book of what helped ruin bodybuilding.

Good post.
Greg Kovacs anyone?? Muscletech would not make it today. Not when you have idiots on youtube giving out steroid advice. People know those crappy protein powders aren't what make you big..Even the teenagers are hip to it now. a
Until people have been involved in it, then you really don't know how bad it is. I remember as my one friend used to say: "All of this and for NO money." Football players take risks every time they step on the field but even their league minimum is somewhere around $250K or rather it was at one time.
From what I can see, the industry has only sunk lower into the depths because there is more money to be made than ever but none of it is going towards better production for shows or benefits for their professional pageant contestants.
