Remember months ago when Donald Trump skipped one of the Republican primary debates to hold his own fundraiser for veterans instead?
During a press conference yesterday journalists hounded Trump over where those funds went, questioning Trump over why it took him so long to donate the money. One veteran took to the stage to defend Trump, noting that there are plenty of “scam” charities out there, and that donating requires due diligence. In all, Trump has given $5.6 million to veterans’ groups.
That’s a stark contrast to his opponent. Breitbart reports:
According to recent public records of the Clinton Family Foundation, the family donated $25,000 in 2009, $20,000 in 2010, $5,000 in 2011, $15,000 in 2012, and in 2014, they donated $5,000.
Find out how much Hillary Clinton’s given to the veterans,” Trump dared reporters gathered at Trump Tower yesterday. “Nothing.”
It’s not literally nothing – but compared to Trump’s $5.6 million, it is statistically. Still, Mrs. Clinton is verrrry supportive of veterans.

Haven't been following this too much b/c it's a bull shit issue but I've heard that there was a lag time bc they had to collect all the donations.
Don't know anything about the fund raisers but I do know that there is often process for obtaining donations after the event.
I want to reiterate though that this is a bullshit non issue. Plenty of things to not like about trump and idiots are focusing on this ::)

Trump made it a much larger issue by having a press conference (knowing full well it would be covered by every media outlet)
All he had to say to reporters is that we'll get you that info and move on.

he splintered the field and won the nomination with 44%. The party is just letting this one play itself out. Paul Ryan is 100x the prepared statesman that Trump is... and trump just limped in to win the nomination.
If hilary gets indicted, and bernie or warren or biden take over... look out, I think the repubs will make a move at convention to bounce Trump. He will look like shit against bernie, cause even though bernie is a socialist, he is not as shit as hilary.

He certainly has. We heard "little marco" and "lyin ted" and "crazy bernie", but most of the hilary criticism has been "her husband cheated".
This brings us to an interesting point. Is he doing that on his own, as a favor? Or is it coordinated? The man is a media genius - why would he continually take attention AWAY from hilary crimes? Every single time there is big hilary news, he calls or tweets and tops himself, and steals all the headlines.
