been doing reverse pyramid training but feel like i hit a wall. strength progression stopped.
any good splits of low volume, heavy(er) style training that will help a natty pack on a couple lbs? i cant really do deads or squats due to scolosis and a super flat lower back (no arch, pancake ass). bench is the only compound lift i can handle now, but would actually even like to stick to hammer strength presses if possible. i figure if your overloading your muscle with heavy low reps, it shouldnt matter. but i dont know

A friend worked construction in the 70s. He had tremendous functional strength that translated well to this workouts in the gym. Me? I dug ditches. I drank whole milk, kefir and even whipping creme just for the calories.

I recently took a week off the gym. It felt good returning. Rested and excited again. After over 40 years of training I am still going. ;D

Rich (Oldtimer1) is the guy to ask.. pm him he likes low sets and intensity and i have seen a pic of his results. Good man been around the Iron game a while. Also gets his cardio in and has found his sweet spot in training. Normally does 2 sets per exercise.

100 sets per day? no thanks man. maybe for someone on gear who wants to take a break from heavy weights. this defeats the purpose of my thread topic

you can tailor it to your wishes. I mean the idea is good. I have used PHA myself. you will break sweat. There are great articles out there that show watered down versions. Remember Gadja was Mr America and a Professional. Itīs like any routine it has to be tailored to you.

thanks for sharing, definitely never heard of him so i will look into it more for sure. man i just have this love hate relationship with weights right now. i feel like im not cut out or built to lift heavy, but i want to do it and grow dense muscle. scolosis and flat lower back/pancake ass doesnt help, always feel like im one little slip away from fucking my back up everytime i drop the bar to go down for a dead or squat. like i can almost feel my lower back about to snag up.

no need to squat or deadlift. There are lots of other exercises to use. Maybe front squats are better for you. Leg press(legs) and Hypers for lower back. Donīt get into the trap of thinking the only way is Deadlifts and squats. Same with flat Bench press for chest. Use other principles to tax your muscles. Tri sets, super sets..etc. Make a moderate weight heavy. Pre exhaust your legs...
