Title: Kevin Levrone
Post by: SF1900 on June 07, 2016, 11:28:52 AM
I don't know, but he looks downsized from a few months ago. With 2-3 months left, and at 51 years of age, how much more size can be realistically put on? He looks more like a top-level NPC competitor who just turned pro.

I'm 31, soon to be 32. I look older than him. And I'm about 3.2 light-years far away from his physique.

Well, when he winds up guest posing at the Mr. O, it will be because he "injured" himself.

He'll put on quite a bit. I doubt the legs will be there but he will be top ten.

I've been predicting a last-minute injury leading to pulling out.  He'll get the great 3-week out pics, then find a way out.

It's a cool, inspirational story that keeps him relevant for another few years.  I'm a huge levrone fan, rooted for him to win every show he's ever entered.  One of the wittiest and coolest BBers of the 90s.

He's very small tho, not carrying pro size.  I know he grows into shows, and entering the NY pro would be fun.  But Olympia is a whole nother ballgame.  He knows what'll happen if he stands next to Phil, he'll look tiny AND soft, and it'll hurt his legacy.

He's smart.  He'll run this campaign and grow his name, but sadly, Father Time is undefeated.   :(

Nobody really knows. He clearly won't be the most massive. But maybe he can impress with his structure and conditioning, with muscle maturity. No gut and width over Heath should be without question.

Sorry, I thought it was a thread about me  ;D Well, I'm not even sure Kevin will even step up on stage. If he will, then, since Mr. O is a tragischmoemedy, why not a top 6? He won't be in top shape, but -1- other contenders suck horse dicks, -2- he already has "paid his due" and -3- he's schmoe-likey. Whatever physique he will show at Mr. O, he will still be (at least) 10 times better than the pregnant citrusophile, who will come 2nd because he has "paid his due" (and more than once  ::) ).

Well if he gets up to 260lbs peeled it could probably be a heart attack waiting to happen. Like Shawn Ray mentioned.

Anyways lets hope not and that Kevins so called super human genetics suprises us all.

If he was smart, he should have done the 17 Olympia, give himself a year and a half plus to really dial it in.

I just think of Gustavo Baddell a few years back, came back after a few years off and placed out of top 10 faded back into obscurity.

I realize I am comparing a Ford to a Mercedes but still

I felt bad for Jay... He looked way too small for his frame. 6th was definitely a gift, Ramy destroyed him in comparisons and came 7th. And this is coming from a Jay fanboy.

Did he not train seriously for a year?

I thought he was just not competing that year but still training for the next one.

He tore his biceps and took some time off from the gym, from what I recall. He claims he only trained for 6 months that year leading up to the Olympia.

Everybody pulls the " only six months training" since the Arnold 1980 spectacular victory...

But then they (Jay) are putting memes UP with the HARD WORK mentality .

He is doing this for publicity and money, he's even considering selling t-shirts with "MMM comeback Olymipa" and has been pushing his supplement line for some time. Good for him.

I don't believe he will step on stage at the Olympia.

Excuses he will give:

1) Stomach flu
2) Dehydrated
3) Family issues
4) Personal issues

Cramps or general health issues is the most vague, I hope that is not the case but I hear you.

Esiclene is no longer made. The stories coming from Flex saying Kevin would buy just about all of the stuff made back in the 90's. Would explained his delt and triceps size. Who knows? Can he compete without it? There are other similiar compounds.

I was wondering that too. Why does he look noticeably smaller than he did a couple of months ago when it should be the opposite? He actually DID look quite massive when he claimed to be 250 pounds a little while ago, but appears to be much less today. He should be continuously bulking up to 265-275 and then starting shedding the weight and come in at 250 pounds the day of (to be competitive). Something tells me he's not serious about competing and this is just a way for him to gain publicity. If he was serious about it, he'd be growing, not getting smaller.

It would look really bad if he dropped out but I just can't see him getting onstage. I'm with you. He will feign an injury of he really will hurt himself. He hadn't been doing that shit in years and the way these guys look it's MASSIVE dosages. Why risk your health?

Look I know Kevin, the IFBB, and whoever else thinks this is the way to drum up publicity but I can see this backfiring big time. You're basically disrespecting all the current competitors saying you guys suck, you're boring and a 60 year old man will be the darling of the weekend. Nobody cares who wins. They just want to relive the nostalgia of the 1990's.

He will 100% compete IMO. He can't pull out, he's mentally committed to it I can tell he is when he speaks about it.

If he brings his old conditioning & a similar package (probably downsized a lot) he will do alright. But I highly doubt he will win.

You can't fool father time, but it would be great if he found certain substances and dosages that turned him into a Kevrone of the 90s physique-wise.

Shocking everyone on stage.

Kevin in his prime looks far better than the bloated and ugly messes I saw onstage last year.  I can understand why everyone is hoping he will look like that but I'm not willing to put money on it that will happen and that's not the direction the IFBB went. They went with bloated poofy messes that stomp around onstage screaming begging for applause.

He will put them to shame with actually having a posing routine
