Title: Working out when you have a concussion?
Post by: 240 is Back on June 28, 2016, 02:58:51 PM
Do you guys ever suffer all of the symptoms of a concussion -

Headaches or neck pain that do not go away
Difficulty remembering, concentrating, or making decisions
Slowness in thinking, speaking, acting, or reading
Getting lost or easily confused
Feeling tired all of the time, having no energy or motivation
Mood changes (feeling sad or angry for no reason)
Changes in sleep patterns (sleeping a lot more or having a hard time sleeping)
Light-headedness, dizziness, or loss of balance
Urge to vomit (nausea)
Increased sensitivity to lights, sounds, or distractions
Blurred vision or eyes that tire easily
Loss of sense of smell or taste
Ringing in the ears

And an hour later, you feel better and want to hit the weights?

Your list of symptoms is quite comprehensive. Are you sure all these things are relative to concussions?

Sounds as though you had a "senior moment." Just old age catching up with you.

My doctor diagnosed me.   But an hour later, he said a weight workout was fine.

I knew a guy that used to complain about the same symptoms.  He had a brain tumor.  He's dead now.

Ya man.

I had all those symptoms. I herniated two disks in my neck and had a severe concussion. Turned my life upside down for awhile. I took 3-4 weekaoff the gym should of took more. No more squats. I should of been more careful my neck got worse before it got better. I had severe numbness in both arms when laying down tingling etc. I got a great pillow and I take good care of myself it's getting better.

I've been knocked out cold 4-5 times I also played outside linebacker in college. I'm lucky I'm not doing a lot worse.

You can't practice football with a concussion, but you can play the games just taking a couple quarters off.

At least in some places.

I've been knocked out cold 4-5 times I also played outside linebacker in college. I'm lucky I'm not doing a lot worse.

Six concussions and three out cold. Now dealing with cervical spine problems and had post concussion syndrome after my bike crash in 02. Was doing a down hill in NH and crashed at about 30mph. Grade 3 AC separation of my rt shoulder and it popped through the skin, compound ring finger fracture and the list goes on.

This is what really did my neck in along with all the hs and college football hits.

No one hates you Coach.

We just see you for the bullshitter you are.

Time and again you spout some bullshit and time and again you have to back out and "correct yourself" because you made up something or just "feel" a certain way.

It's not hate. I feel sorry for you.

4 marriages.
Lies about your son.
Over exaggerating your impact on MMA fighters.
Ignoring science.

I mean. Really. You're pitiful.

Haters want to be you. I wouldn't want to have your life for any amount of money.

Hey, you're invited to come down and clear the lies. I mean, if I put myself out there then I get literally slandered I should be obligated to clear my name. Now if I were just another gimmick hiding behind a keyboard that would be a different story.

Btw, what was my impact on MMA fighters. I must have missed that one.

Why? What do you want me to do? Show up at your business and ask you for names? Would you actually give them?

You're the one posting about every fucking MMA guy who even steps foot in your establishment.

You do it all of the time.

I meet people all of the time, but you don't see me posting every fucking time some famous person walks in the doors to my studio I meet.

It's sad. Again. Like a 16 year old. Makes you look like a douchebag.

It's even worse when the fighter gets their ass beat.

FB is a much bigger forum than getbig. Here you have a bunch of assholes that hide behind gimmicks that slander and talk shit. There you can pick and choose who requests to follow you.

Have you had surgery on your neck?  My neck finally feels like it is healing up it took about a year of watching everything I do. No squats lighter over head movements I can only sleep on my back now or everything gets numb. The pain was unbearable for most of the last year. I'm grateful it's gotten better.
