I'm not convinced Seagal was supposed to do that reddit ama.  The 'proof' provided wasn't from Seagal.  Not from his Twitter or anything.

True story, he broke connery's wrist while training him for his last bond movie in the 80s, Connery didn't realise for years after til he had a checkup.
