the planets are all on paths which were determined billions of years ago.
oceans, mountains, meteors, animals, life...
With a big enough computer, one could analyze the big bang and predict what would happen, right?
Everything is a result of upbringing and innate 'how we are built'. We have free will, but the decision making process is ingrained in us, down to the random abnormalities (bonehead things we do).
so I'm a beilever in pre-determined, but we exercise free will too... it's just that an analyst with enough RAM could predict it accurately.

im wondering if theres a way to be undeterministic. perhaps not possible , i maybe overlooking something. everything can be predicted if all variables are plugged into a good enough computer

Another excuse for being you!

i like the quote that said "nothings special its all just unfolding of the given".........this is true perspective i couldnt say it much better or smarter
saying its all predetermined is true ,youll agree if your smart enough
those who disagree need to work on cognitive skills

his genes determine a blue print of a brain wich will act a certain way
this brain is effected by environment factors wich then leave another blueprint of how it will act
thus no free will everything a person does is chosen by brain mixed wth environment
this could only be incorect if a god were moving the chess peices

We're all in a linear video game, simulation. I thought Getbig had already discussed and agreed on this in another thread.

According to my observations there is only the illusion of free will.
There can be no free will ultimately.
-
I remember being troubled by this initially. Thing is, if it's merely an illusion, what difference does it really make? FEELS free enough.

lmao

Your observations must be severely restricted. Your conclusion is therefore inaccurate.

Being in "the human condition" is very restrictive, yes.
