Title: Happy retirement to one of the greatest NBA players of all time, Tim Duncan!
Post by: Wiggs on July 11, 2016, 08:44:29 AM
Anybody that knows me knows that I'm a HUGE San Antonio Spurs fan and have been for a very very long time. It's truly been a pleasure to watch one of the best players of all time to play this game the right way. Thanks for all the memories there's no one else like him. Enjoy retirement and the best to him.

2005 NBA championships were the most memorable for me ever, being from Detroit. Always liked how the Spurs were crafty veterans holding their own

I was just watching ESPN a few minutes ago. They said that Tim Duncan handled winning with grace; and he handled losing with grace.

Funny you look at someone like Kobe that made this year all about him with his "farewell tour" and huge contract on the flip side you have Mr. Fundamental, head down and focused making it all about his team.  He's a role model to any person.

19: seasons played in the NBA

1: franchises Duncan has played for. Only two others players who have spent at least 19 seasons with one franchise, including John Stockton (19) and Kobe Bryant (20)

21: age at which Duncan debuted in 1997 after being drafted as the No. 1 pick out of Wake Forest University

.600: Spurs winning percentage during Duncan’s career

26,496: career points scored

.719: career winning percentage

15: years between his first title and his last

12: consecutive All-Star games

3,859: offensive rebounds

5: championships, in 1998-99, 2002-03, 2004-05, 2006-07 and 2013-14

1,392: career games played

251: playoff games

593: points scored in the 2002-03 playoffs

560: free throws made in 2001-02

23.2: average points per game in 1999-2000, when he was named co-MVP of the All-Star Game with Shaquille O’Neal

April 5, 2016: date on which Duncan recorded his 1,000 win in the regular season, only the third person to do so (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Robert Parish)

Wasn't aware that sports and selling CDs were the only career paths for blacks.

There's a Julian Jackson Drive on St. Thomas.  I wonder if there'll be a road, building, or park named after Tim on St. Croix.

He wasn't even the best scoring power forward on I-35 in Texas.

That honor goes to Dirk.

Fucking morons. Tim Duncan is educated and smart. He would have been a lawyer and definitely made more money than the usual ass clown Getbigger who would claim he would sell retail. Anyway, dude is worth 100's of millions dollars and can have any piece of ass he wants. That is a step up from the average Getbigger who makes 7 dollars and change with his high school education.  ::) ::) ::)
